Tablet - mobile slots, music/media or an extra Twitch window so I can carry it out when I leave the room. I don't use the 'net (socially) much these days but I think I might be too "plugged-in", regardless (you think?). It's so awesome to have started w/those tiny 1970's crt TV's and still be around during this time of hi-resolution media/access and stuff. It's amazing hubby and I both haven't blown house fuses yet. Yeah, I need help.

Why is it, when I read a news article that mentioned Trump had a fever, the first thing that popped into my head was "I've got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell?" I do hope he gets better, tho. Such weird times, these, all around.

I suppose pic-wise it doesn't look that different but it sure is a lot more desk room for "stuff" and I no longer need a KB/M switch, both PC's can have own KB. One minus is I can't walk behind desk anymore making hookup access more of a PITA but oh well. Sadly no new TV yet since all the 49" and 50" have been sold out lately. But see that back wall? An 75" could fit up there too (barely - door has to open). Or at least a 65" (I'd keep the 43" desk TV then). I am...tempted. MOAH SCREENS. LateEdit: Corrected screen sizes, typos. Wall-tv would be for the playstation only, most likely, which serves as my tv streaming device + console games. Maybe I should wall mount a couple more 27" monitors on the right wall, too.

I found these: So I pulled out these: ...but neither Win10 or win7 would run Majesty disc. It would install but when you try to start, nothing. Compatibility modes etc, nada. Couldn't find anything from a web-search. I do have the Steam version (I should get it from GoG too tho) but I wanted to play the original release version, unpatched. Edit: wonder if we have an old copy of Win98 around somewhere ... Oh well. *calming myself after being thwarted* "Ohhhmmmmm...."

What Are You Playing Now: Gaming Lives

^ Yeah, the Northern Expansion was definitely a response to "lack of late challenge" from hardcore players. When it came out you had the usual semi-backlash on the forum re: the increased difficulty and the "beware what you wish for" tropes. That forum is also where I learned if there's a gameplay oversight you like about a game, don't mention it on official forums or it'll get removed (Monks picking up (multiple) artifacts from dead hero drops, I used to kill rogues for that for the lulz). Hehee. -

I've said it before, but lvl 7 Monks all the way. I seem to recall somehow making tons of gold with marketplaces,so I rarely had that issue (Monks do need babysitting) like I had figured out a gameplay pattern I did constantly but I can't recall. But I did like Wizards a lot too. All I remember is at some mid point during the Northern Expansion campaign, I mumbled "well this is going to be a challenge" then never got around to finishing. "What a delicious looking reward." - a Rogue just before dying. -
Did you know that (in the US) it's apparently (unofficial?) National Pizza Month? America, the land of everything is an excuse to celebrate/party or holiday. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Pizza_Month Now excuse me while I order some pizza.

Hmm. Is Fallon a BTS fan? I don't like the first minute of the song but the rest is ok in that typical "I'm going to bop energetically around the middle of my room for a while" way, as much kpop is. I like their "Dynamite" single better tho (note: I barely know a handful of their songs). More importantly, in my eyes, at least this time they aren't wearing outfits made from 1960's/'70's couches and curtains. ...yup, I think Fallon wants to be a member of BTS.

I'm currently playing - some music, because I fired up Death Stranding and realized the last patch (supposed to add "Ultra DLSS" for 8k) made the DLSS option completely disappear from my menu. It's simply gone, no DLSS for me apparently. Not vital, it runs fine without DLSS, but my annoyance at forced (I don't need "Ultra DLSS") and glitchy patches made me turn it off and I went for tunes instead. -
Or a tech hardware engineer. Or both at the same time. But don't worry, I've met at least three, maybe four, people on the internet who aren't engineers of any type. We do exist. Edit: rest deleted because oops, realized not the thread I thought I was in.

My favorite companions are the ones that kill everything for me so I don't have to do anything.

I can't tell what the game is about or even what type of game to expect from that. Is it weird? Yes. Does it work, as a teaser trailer, to entice me re: the game itself? Not really. The few images on the game's Steam page (release date: "2022") are fairly generic, but look nice I suppose.

From what I understand that requires a mod tho and doesn't allow dlc items or something. It's not "native" to the game, (edit) by default it always has an internet check/can't be in Offline Mode. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=954145015 -

Conan Exiles is an online game right? Or you have to at least be be online/in a private server to even play solo? I try not to get into those anymore. Me too. Used to happen to me for a month or two once every 3-4 years. Then once every 2-3 years. Then once every ... you get the idea. I think we're up to about once every 4-6 months, now. When it occurs every few weeks I'll quit gaming. -

Well I managed to survive long enough to place a HUB in Satisfactory. Then I upgraded the Hub a few times right off the bat. Placed what I think is an auto-miner bot. I guess one needs a lot of fuel and right now all I have is leaves and twigs, apparently. Now I'm supposed to scan for copper ore, which of course will lead me out into the wild again. I have the feeling almost all ore sources are going to be "guarded" by beasties. Bets on survival? ...also reinstalled DIablo1 for the umpteenth time and poked the Butcher full of arrows. Using the Hellfire version, haven't done that in ages. ...I need another expansive, open world-ish, shiny but somewhat mindless/simplistic rpg. It's too bad I don't like "shooters." -
This evening I spent some time measuring for clamping desk extensions (for KB/mouse), footstools, tv's, a curved board that can rest on chair armrests, and various other things. Which as usual results in my conscious awareness of my childish height. On the bright side, I don't have to bend over to rinse my hair in the shower and I've never hit my head on a ceiling fixture. Edit: unrelated - I also learned today that some non-US KFC's sell fried chicken skin. No chicken, just the skin. Urgh, why even.

Mmm I'm not the most super informed but in brief probably the environmental related and foreign policy stances would be the biggest ones. Not that I think anything changes much in the long term since every President undoes "something" as well as doing "something". Most US elections are a lot of fanfare about nothing, in a way. It's just some years there are better choices for human's endless hopes. Not issues related: Call me age-ist if you want, but I'm personally tired of old farts running for office, especially 1st term's. I'd prefer people 62 and under.

I was going to have the debate on, in the background at least, but I was distracted and forgot until a bit ago. After only about 10 minutes of listening to Trump I shut it off again. Man I can't even stand the sound of his voice anymore, let alone his what comes out of his mouth. I should probably say I'm not a big Biden person either but I'd prefer him over Trump, is all.

@BruceVC I think I might have couched it in terms more akin to: "You're an astronaut and going to spend the next 6 months stuck in space orbit with terrible food. What delicious meals would you pick to eat the day before going up?" Anyway, even with that in mind I'm not sure what I'd pick. I find as I get older that while there are those meals/foods I will order over and over, if I really start thinking about ultimate fave meal/s I come up blank. I'm not enough of a gourmet or variety eater. As long as my taste buds are happy, I'd be happy.
-
As much as I love food, if I knew I had one day left to live, I don't think mealtime would be top priority on my list of personal time wasters. I'd probably just have some jerky and fave candy/energy bars/fruit etc. on hand, and demand that my hubby spend his entire day cuddled up in bed with me. Either that or go to the beach or woods, build a campfire and watch the sunset. I dunno, eating would be the last thing on my mind.

Some companions/chrs have annoyed me here and there, sure. Some I choose not to continue with and/or always avoid on replays (if possible). I don't think I've ever put a whole lot of thought into it tho. A companion or character either strikes a chord/resonates with me or doesn't, and then I move on. That said, Gladio in FFXV is a prime example of chr. personality tropes that do NOT resonate with me. I had a mod once that made him invisible but sadly it couldn't muffle his voice. Edit: at least in the Eng. script/translation. I heard he came off a little better in other translations.

Speaking of Dune .... ...VHS, baby! (yea I still have a player too) ...(busy clearing out old things again while hubby is sawing a board)

Hm, "CrimsonAcid" sounds like a good forum handle, I'll have to remember that.

Hubby and I trying to figure out/plan the l-desk for my room. Think we can reuse my current huge desk for part of it and that would mean might be able get it done today if we get off our butts (or next few days at least). Then I can think about a new gaming TV.
