But gun fanboys will cry a river anyway forcing Obsidian to nerf arbalest (again). According to those numbers arbalest is better than arquebus. Higher DPS with the same amount of penetration.

Are there any other people participating in the Backer Beta getting the impression that PotD in Deadfire seems "easier" than PotD in PoE1? This has been on my mind for a while because I'm not sure if I fully support the sentiment. I seem to be having a much easier time with fights in the Beta than I would in the first game in a similar level range. I can't help but wonder if this means that difficulty in PoE2 will be more loaded unto the mid- and endgame or that difficulty in general is lower. Edit: Accidentally a word

The Witcher 3 sales numbers are fascinating. Almost nobody who is a self-proclaimed fan has played the first game. Very few have played the second. The third is one of the more successful games of it's time. At some point I think the experience is what people are after more, and Deadfire sells a unique experience. True, but the Witcher 3 is very accessible to people who haven't played the first 2 games. I'm worried that Deadfire won't be nearly as accessible, and consequently less successful at attracting new players.
