  1. You don't even need to consider that. Every sunset is a proof their "model" is wrong. Not to mention all the problems it would lead to when considering seasons, time zones, etc...
  2. Fun fact: the Sun is not at the center of the Solar System. It moves around the barycenter of the system and, IIRC from college, sometimes this point is outside the Sun.
  3. I confess I'm curious about Episode 9 now. How well will the attack on the Star Destroyers going to space will be for the... cavalry!?
  4. How long until they announced he is out for... the third (?) time.
  5. Just finished AM2R (Another Metroid 2 Remake). Pretty nice game.
  6. I couldn't play for a while, but now I finally finished chapter 1. I don't know if this was possible before the expansion, but I fought the Stag Lord after reaching level 5. The new content sure made it easy. There is even a cave that allows you to give capes and rings of protection to everyone who didn't have it yet.
  7. I didn't know the creators of Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight were releasing another game now. Minoria is a pleasant surprise.
  8. Finally finished Pathfinder Kingmaker Chapter 1. Now I'll play Minoria, which looks as good and beautiful as Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight.
  9. Just expanding what Keyrock said above: in the book Unfinished Tales, Saruman, Gandalf the other wizards were ordered to go to Middle Earth and help/guide the people in their conflict with Sauron. Iirc, they were expressly forbidden to solve the problem on their own, because the people of Middle Earth had to fight for what was theirs or something like that. I guess that includes calling the Eagles. For me the funniest thing though is that all the problems Sauron caused after his boss (Melkor) was defeated could have been easily prevented. Again, I don't know if I remember this well, but in the Silmarillion when they capture Melkor they order Suaron to cross the ocean to face judgement. Sauron initially regreted his crimes, for real, but then he realized that if he went there he would be severely punished and then he decided to stay. And this was stupid, because the guy who arrested Melkor (with the help of an army) didn't consider himself with the authority to arrest Sauron, although Sauron was of a lesser status than Melkor.
  10. Kit Harington Will Play Black Knight In The Eternals
  11. ‘She-Hulk’, ‘Moon Knight’ & ‘Ms. Marvel’ Live-Action Series In Development For Disney+
  12. Weird indeed. But they got me interested in the next season.
  13. Just to be clear, I was talking about ethnicity. Obviously Perrin is a blacksmith, so the actor can't be skinny. Nynaeve needs a braid so no actress with short hair, and so on.
  14. I don't think I ever learned how to speak Ta'veren and Tel'aran'rhiod lol As for the Wheel of Time cast, I don't care how they look, except for the people that have specific hair color or other characteristics for a reason.
  15. Florida man: urinates in ice machine Louisiana woman: hold my meth... actually, nevermind
  16. This. When I'm lucky I sleep 6 or 7.5 hours. If I wake up after 6 hours and I can sleep more, I automatically start another cycle and then I sleep pretty well. But if something wakes me up before that time, it ruins my day, because I can't really get back to sleep or maybe I start another cycle and it doesn't finish again. I'm not sure. I suffer from insomnia, but I have flexible work hours, so I can usually adjust it and that makes those lucky days. However, when I have an early appointment I end up sleeping 4-4.5 hours because I can't fall asleep soon enough. Sometimes it's 4.5 and and don't have much problem, so long as I can sleep well the next night. Recently I discovered that at least part of my insomnia, the one when I wake up in the middle of the night, is not really that bad, because of this: Insomnia: Why your brain may sleep without even knowing it
  17. 4 Avatar movies in 6 years? Doesn't look like a good idea to me.
  18. I really liked Endgame. But I have not watched Spiderman Far From Home yet and I'm not really interested in seeing it in theathers. Maybe even I am getting tired of these movies.
  19. My condolences Daven. I have a relative that passed from cancer last year. I was not very close to him, but it was bad enough. Losing a father must be much worse. I'm really sorry.
