  1. Great episode of The Orville. Strange New Worlds was good too. Interesting how both episodes had this in common:
  2. James Webb Space Telescope was hit by a tiny space rock – but it’s OK
  3. Then let's not discuss how they made her grow up fast so that small dress she was using (look at very beginning of the video I posted) would become even smaller in proportion to her body and she had to get naked and change...
  4. The Rising of the Shield Hero 2.10 This episode was really rushed, like they were trying to condense many volumes of the manga in one anime episode or something. At times they quickly jumped from one scene to another and I wondered if I pressed a button somehow and skipped part of the story. Raphtalia is taken to a prison where a special spell drains the prisoners’ energy and the guards have a talisman that does the opposite. She ends up in the same cell as the heroes native to this world (Glass, L’Arc Gurass, L’Aracu and Therese), the same ones that she and her friends both fought against and worked with before. She uses an illusion to fool the guard, taking his talisman and handling it to Gurass. After that escaping is easier than losing money when Raphtalia is hungry. Since she is still growing as she levels up, they have to spend almost all of their money with food. Later they find out that a new hero will be selected in the city, one that will become the Katana Hero. As they approach the place where the weapon is kept (waiting for someone worthy to successfully draw it from the ground, like Excalibur), they see that the candidate is Kazuki, the same guy who captured Raphtalia. When he tries to touch the Katana, it teleports itself to Raphtalia’s hands, since it is the weapon that chooses who will wield it. This was very satisfying. Take that, you jerk! The Katana removes Raphtalia’s slave brande and finishes her process of growing up and becoming an adult again. Apparently she was so used to being short that she has trouble walking, occasionally falling to the floor for no reason. Eventually she has to face Kizuki in combat and despite his insistence, she easily wins, destroying two monsters and leaving him with a wound that will kill him if he moves soon. But as she is trying to leave, tired to the point of being barely capable of standing, another monster appears and she is saved at the last moment by Naofumi and the others.
  5. I finished the first part and even with some episodes being as long as a movie, it still feels like there is too many people in the show.
  6. I didn't watch these episodes. Are they any good? I do remember one episode in the beginning of season 2 (I think) when the girls make some clothes for Rimuru and it looked like this other series. It didn't do much for the story, but it was funny at least.
  7. Stranger Things 4.1 - 4.4 I was enjoying it a lot in the beginning, but now
  8. Spy x Family 9 Holy s***. These people are almost killing each other and the secrets haven’t even been revealed yet. At least, for once, Anya was just sleeping peacefully (mostly). The episode starts where the previous one ended, that is, with Yuri demanding that Loid and Yor kiss to prove they are indeed married for real. Yor can’t bring herself to kiss Loid, even after getting intentionally drunk so that she could do it. Not noticing that, Yuri tries to stop her and ends up being slapped on the face and flying to the other side of the room. His face was already bleeding after she threw a fork at him when she got drunk and now he is bleeding even more. Still suspicious, Yuri leaves, threatening to have Loid executed in case he does anything bad to his sister. In the morning, Anya reads Loid’s thoughts and gets excited with the idea that there is a secret police, even if she doesn’t really know what that is. She gets angry and frustrated that they didn’t introduce her to her uncle. Yuri gets to work and tells a colleague that his sister’s husband is too nice so he must be a con man or a spy. And his colleague considers the possibility, asking if there is any proof. Well, isn’t it nice to live in a fascist state? Loid finally starts suspecting Yor and plants a listening device on her. Then he and one of his contacts disguise themselves as the secret police to interrogate her. What a wonderful idea! If only they knew they are threatening a professional assassin… Anyway, Loid stops suspecting her and they all celebrate the (fake) marriage anniversary eating a cake with Anya. Edit: in the video, Anya asks if it is the end of the world.
  9. This comment on YT is particularly interesting: So that was almost 10 minutes of Muda Muda from Cioccolata's perspective.
  10. Yes. The last episode was in the alternate timeline.
  11. Personally, I don't care if the main character comes from another world. I'm interested in these animes because of the fantasy setting and the story. And good graphics are not essential.
  12. The Boys 3.1 to 3.3 Well, this was basically a sequence of WTF moments. Not that there is no story in it. I couldn't watch it all in one go, so I may have lost track of the body count. Their version of the Avengers, omg.
  13. But the battle was not in the last episodes, right? I don't remember if there should have been time to deal with the consequences and how the crew felt about it. Maybe one or two episodes, at least. The last one not counting due to what was going on, of course.
  14. That would be fitting. This was one of the most satisfying moments ever. The end, with the garbage truck, still makes me laugh hard.
  15. Kenobi - Episode 3: The Orville 3.1: Really nice to have it back, but I wasn't enjoying the episode that much until near the end. I'm also totally confused about when in season 2 they had that major battle. Maybe I don't remember well, but I imagined that the repercussions we see in this episode should have happened earlier. And look who is back, The Boys!
  16. The Rising of the Shield Hero 2.8 and 2.9: Naofumi and his friends get back to civilization (in a hostile country) and sell magic potions to earn some money. They plan to use an artifact to transport themselves to another kingdom (which turns out to be a little hostile too), but end up in a trap and get separated from Raphtalia, who, despite having leveled up a few times, is still in infant form. Fishing Rod hero girl (what was her name again? Oh, Kizuna, I just saw in the screenshot below) introduces them to a rabbit-human mage (a boat hero, what is next, a barrel hero?) who can help them find Raphtalia. He creates a kind of familiar with Raphtalia's hair and Naofumi's blood and this creature can tell them where Raphtalia is. They go to yet another hostile country (what a nice world!) which turns out to be exactly where Filo was. Well, that problem was solved really fast. I guess they will find Raphtalia soon too, right in the next episode. Unlike what I thought, Filo didn't revert to an egg, but she is now a different type of bird and is being kept as a slave and somewhat of a circus attraction. They wait until nighttime to rescue her and Naofumi uses some kind of Ghost Rider's Penance Stare from his shield to make the slaver feel what he inflicted on Filo. Honestly, she was so traumatised that the guy didn't get a fraction of what he deserved. Damn it, even the normally calm and insecure green-haired girl Rishia (the screenshot saved me again) got pissed off with what was going on. I wished Jotaru would have come out of nowhere and Ora Ora that man into oblivion.
  17. I enjoyed the first two episodes of the Kenobi series. I didn't mind the shaky camera in the first scene, but I'm still wondering why the two soldiers got close to the Jedi wielding a light saber. No matter how bad your aiming is, if your opponent has a short range weapon, shouldn't you stay far from them?
  18. This implies that he has a perfect memory of everything from his previous life, probably thanks to the mysterious voice in his head. Interesting that such voice first appeared when he was a human dying on Earth, before becoming a slime.
  19. Spy x Family 8 A hilarious episode. Yuri, Yor’s brother, comes to visit the family and everyone has to pretend to be someone else. Luckily he came late at night and Anya was not there to read his thoughts. And of course Yuri is an interrogator torturer for the eastern country’s secret police. It is not mentioned in the anime, but I read on a website that it is called the State Security Service, or “SSS”. Sure, nothing bad there. Yuri is also a spy. Who would have imagined? Oh, and he is looking for Twilight, who he considers to be his natural enemy. Although he is only 20 years old, he seems to be really good at his job. I’m sure everything will be fine once he discovers the truth. One moment they show us Yuri doing his work and the next Anya watching a torture in the spy tv show. Not serious torture, but still Loid is just there near her not caring at all. So much for him deciding to be a better father in the previous episode. Yuri visits the Forgers and he and Loid immediately become suspicious of each other. Yuri is obviously jealous and displeased and he doesn’t even try to hide it. And there is the problem that Yor has been officially married for a year and never told her brother. Her excuse? “I forgot. And then I forgot that I forgot.” Yuri ends up getting drunk and telling a story that Twilight saw in a manual for the secret police. So now Loid is aware Yuri is not just a public servant. But Yuri gets suspicious too and demands that they kiss to prove that they are indeed married. And then the episode ends. Yor: “I could never tell him that I got married so that I could continue killing in peace!” Yuri: “What did my sister see in this guy? Just because he can cook, he is handsome, tall, considerate and a doctor…” This one almost killed me: Yuri: “She would always work herself to death for me.” She literally used to arrive home covered in somebody else’s blood: Teacher: “How much is 5/6 – 2/3? Anya?” Anya: “3/3!”
  20. Yes, that is Raphtalia. And the summary is wrong about Filo. Well, I think it is. And here is where you find the worst part of this anime. She is a giant bird that can turn into a little girl, one that doesn't seem to have reached adulthood or at least she thinks and acts like a child. Despite that, she once stated that she wants to mate with Naofumi. And Spear SPedo hero (that would be good friends with Pedosus) is in love with her or something. There is even a spin-off series about him reversing time multiple times and trying to win her heart. And that is more than I need to know about it. Still, I enjoy this anime for its fantasy setting and the hardworking of the hero, fighting against all odds and choosing to do the right thing even though few people respect and support him. By the end of the season he clears his name and the people who wronged him face some justice. It is very satisfying.
  21. The Rising of the Shield Hero S2, episodes 5-7: Naofumi and his friends defeat the Spirit Tortoise, but not without paying a high price. The real culprit is still alive and has run to another world. After pursuing him, everyone gets back to level 1, which means Naofumi can't effectively use his Shield abilities and so can't attack. Raphtalia reverts to childhood and can barely raise her sword. And Filo... is probably an egg somewhere. Let's hope nobody wants to eat an omelet. This season was not as good as the first one, but this last episode resets things and it looks better now.
