  1. ONLY four? What is with these lying writers? First they said you could have sex with anything including inanimate objects in Mass Effect, then they say you can have sex with EVERY woman in Alpha Protocol. Unless there are only four women in the game. I eagerly await the game that allows you to just go at a wall... or a mound of dirt. Then have a group of spectators wonder over and comment on how ridiculous you are. Kind of like the guards in Assassin's Creed apparently...
  2. I actually wouldn't mind a delay considering in Rocktober both AP & Brutal Legend release. AP is set for a Rocktober release right? I guess Modern Warfare 2 will be released but I'm apparently the only gamer on the planet that doesn't really care. I'm sure I'll get it eventually, but I can easily wait for MW2. Whatever Obsidian feels comfortable with really. Don't get me wrong, I'm quite interested in AP, (preordered baby ) but I'm keeping my excitement low. I don't want a repeat of setting myself up for the second coming of Christ like I did with NwN 2 only to find the engine was horribly unoptimized or KotOR 2 where the story completely rocked, blowing away KotOR 1 and then bombed in the last section.
  3. ****! I just rented a movie called Tunnel Rats about the Vietnam war heroes who would go down tunnels to flush out the enemy with nothing but a Colt .45 and a huge pair of brass balls. Then I realize that it was made by none other than Uwe ****ing Boll. I had no idea he had branched out to war movies. Should I even bother to watch this steaming pile in hopes of unintended comedy? This makes me so mad! I keep hoping this director will go out of business and here I go and support him... on accident! ARG!
  4. GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony. Things went a bit crazy and I have somehow lost my pants. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/debut-trailer-gta-iv/55294
  5. Modern warfare games have been done just as much. Completely disagree about Treyarch. Sure their single player is usually a bit disapointing, but their multiplayer almost always owns IW's. Call of Duty 1 was excellent, but Treyarch's additions in United Offensive made the multiplayer amazing. Call of Duty 3 has awesome class based multiplayer. World at War removes a lot of the cheese and makes the game more skill based. Dogs kick the heck out of aim bot helicopters.
  6. Having played a few classic D&D games like Pool of Radiance I got into it immediately. The loading is pretty awful though.
  7. I'm not as interested in modern warfare as I am in WWII. Plus MW is extremely cheap in MP with helicopters. Like WaW and I'm hoping Treyarch makes another WaW with the MW2 engine.
  8. The original running on the Duke Nukem 3D Build Engine was much better imho.
  9. Considering how much I use the melee/anti-dog attack I rebound it to the "f" key instead.
  10. Arguably, it was a story hinged on the assumption that everyone loves Dad. And Fallout 1 was a story hinged on the assumption you liked living in your vault with your fellow vault dwellers. Where was the role playing for people who felt like: "To heck with those jerks! I'm going to make a living in the wasteland!".
  11. I did not need to see that.
  12. Make sure to watch the entire thing as there are two parts after the initial one. A link should pop up after the video ends. Such a weird and interesting look at the country.
  13. Thank you for posting that. Its such a shame their people have been brainwashed from birth.
  14. But no-one would really complain if it was I think - they would go "maybe it sucks, but hey .. it's free! what did you expect?".. Exactly... thats why it should have been free. Again people might be surprised at the poor quality but there would be little to complain about as a free add-on.
  15. The uncharted worlds are a blast to explore compared to this. Then again I actually enjoyed the uncharted worlds. Also, how was I to know what to expect? I enjoyed Mass Effect for what it was and while I was a fool to download Pinnacle Station right upon seeing it I had a bit of faith in Bioware. Sure, their ad campaign for Dragon Age is idiotic, they don't seem to know who they are targetting, and I disliked Jade Empire I didn't realize that they would release/allow to be released something of such low quality that it looks like some mod makers threw it together in a months time. Bunch of multiplayer modes thrown together with no multiplayer, horrible AI, no story, mass slowdown as the enemies rush you and pathetic rewards. The house you earn at the end for instance, has nothing within that can't be earned by actually playing the game. The sad thing is just a few changes could have made it worth the cost, if not more. Adding an actual multiplayer component to this DLC would have been awesome. Coop on survival mode getting to see and fight besides other player's Shepards. A competitive version of capture where 2-4 players try and take and hold all the control points etc. Even a leader board to compare times and scores with other players would have helped. Instead if you want to brag about your time you have to write down/remember your time and then write it on a forum and hope nobody lies about their time. Even a few articles of spiffy exclusive armor or weapons could have gone a long way to justify the price. There are only a handful of 'positives'. You get a very cool view of a Saturn like ring planet from the view port of the space station, the arena is a great place to wrack up weapon/biotic achievements (big whoop) or to farm xp (another questionable pro and least liked aspect of RPGs, but hey its there). Really, this should have been free. Even then I can see people ignoring/not installing it as a free release. The quality is that low.
  16. I really loved the single player. It was a huge surprise how good it was. Its the multiplayer that is a disapointment. It doesn't build on the Enemy Territory multiplayer. Its pretty much a return to the RtCW multiplayer with changes, some good and some bad.
  17. I finally cracked and got a 360 this year for a number of reasons: -PC getting old, can't run the newer games. Not ready to build a new PC. -Lot of exclusives that don't make it to PC. I like Halo. It takes forever for them to make it to PC and then M$ had to go and make Halo 2 Vista exclusive. BS. Also, I love GTA IV and Lost and Damned add on seems to be 360 exclusive as well as the upcoming Gay Tony. Can't wait for Brutal Legend in Rocktober. -The recent BS with DRM has been driving me nuts. The delay of Mysteries of Westgate kind of made me snap. -Friends and family sometimes come over and are interested in games, but sharing a PC just isn't easy. Relaxing in the living room is just easier with a couple of controllers. -The recent trend seems to be that most of the stuff I'm interested in lately has been coming both to PCs and consoles. Even hardcore PC devs are moving to crossplatform releases like id Software. If all my favorites are going consolized might as well go console. The last console I owned was a Sega Genesis and I never thought I'd get another console, but things just added up this year so what the heck. The scariest thing was learning about the failure rate. From what I understand the recent ones have been fairly stable (thank goodness). I've had mine for 7+ months now and no problems. I hope I haven't jynxed myself. Still love my PC and there are things the consoles just can't do. Took quite a while to get used to the controller. Never played a FPS on a controller before. Mouse & Keyboard are still better but I've become pretty good with the controller. Recent Wolfenstein controls really well with the 360 controller. I felt almost as proficient as with a mouse and keyboard.
  18. From what I've been able to gather this wasn't even developed by Bioware, but instead by some inexperienced dev studio called Demiurge that has worked on multiplayer maps (which explains everything with Pinnacle Station). I've honestly never felt more ripped off by DLC before and I've downloaded quite a bit. The reason there was no announcement about this and it just seemed to pop up from nowhere is they knew it was garbage and hoped as many suckers like me would wake up in the morning and grab it in excitement for new Mass Effect content.
  19. I never liked eye shots in the original Fallouts. The problem was that often they would survive such a shot. Its already a stretch to take multiple head shots... but an eye shot would and should = instant death/no more trouble from him. Groin shots on the other hand = comic gold.
  20. Haven't had that problem here. The mods catch the nasty stuff early, so if you have a bunch of people chuckling at it its probably 'safe' to look at. Worst you'll get is some fat guy in a thong or something. Actually, that is pretty horrible and may result in therapy.
  21. We don't need an end of the world song until 2012!
  22. Loved Remo Williams as a kid. Still remember various scenes from it despite having not seen it for almost 20 years.
  23. tl;dr Could Israel be classified as itsy bitsy or teeny weeny? It seems a bit too big for teeny weeny...
  24. IGN slams Pinnacle Station and asks the 1 million credit question, why was this made?: http://xboxlive.ign.com/articles/101/1018427p1.html Pretty shocking that Bioware managed to come out with a DLC that makes Operation Anchorage and Mothership Zeta look like epic masterpieces of DLC.
  25. The focus may not have been on single player, but would it really have been a ton of work to add in a seperate Diablo I style system to Diablo II SP? Would have made the single player so much more enjoyable. Diablo 1 managed to have some real tension and danger because you couldn't just widdle down a bosses health without a real cost in portals and healing supplies. Diablo II you can just respawn and keep going at it until you win. Sure you lose some XP but that can EASILY be gained back by replaying sections. I really wanted to like Diablo II. The cutscenes and settings are gorgeous, the game has all the makings of the perfect sequel but they absolutely killed it for me with the respawn system. Not just that but with enemies popping back up in previously cleared areas. I'm not really into Diablo II multiplayer mode either, so there is very little that has me excited about Diablo III if its going to be like Diablo II.
