  1. Heck I have a fence around my whole 26 acre property and a well armed man of questionable sanity guarding it.
  2. I would imagine its a veiled attack on people who are against the Trump wall, like me, and its meant to expose them as hypocrites because we fine with the White House wall ?
  3. In terms of lift vs payload capacity only the C5 Galaxy has it beat. And it's just a cargo plane. A really... really big one.
  4. Whatever money he had is probably a drop in the pan compared the to value of the (reportedly) 1000+ unreleased recordings he had in his vault.
  5. Prince didn't have a will? You'd think one of his advisers would have mentioned that to him. Well that s--t is about to get ugly.
  6. Yeah they are still around
  7. Rebuilding the military does not necessarily mean increasing manpower to pre-1993 levels. You achieve the same ends by reducing the operational tempo and deployment commitments and at the same time same money for weapons development. If it were me rather than rebuilding a military designed to fight major WWII style battles I'd focus on streamlining and rapid reaction/high mobility forces augmented by increased unmanned, airborne and naval assets. Unless we see another world wide conflict I believe heavy infantry and armor are going the way of the Greek Phalanx. But where we do need to rebuild and see a change of vision is the intelligence services.
  8. Well if you are going to quit you job, do it with some flair: https://www.facebook.com/1690353721215218/videos/1694674277449829/
  9. There is another good reason for Sanders to keep going. If Hillary ends up getting indicted (not likely but not impossible) he will be the lone horse in the race. Don't think that hasn't crossed his mind.
  10. Leferd the election is a hell of a long way away. There is an endless array of s--t that can happen between now and then to change the whole dynamic. I know you are encouraged by what you are reading, but keep your wallet in your pocket!
  11. Whatever you think of Bernie, he is the one candidate I can honestly say has stuck with his principles and has been clear about what those were. I believe that is at least part of his appeal.
  12. I know what to do with a woman 20 years my junior, find her parentsand tell them to watch their 4-year old better. KP wins!
  13. Only if the boat is sinking
  14. Yeah the Argonia one looked more likely. Besides Valenwood would be a terrible setting. Besides, they are not going to say a word about ES6 until the last penny is wrung out of FO4.
  15. I fell asleep on a conference call today. Good thing my phone was muted. I hope nobody asked me anything.
  16. Yeah the TV show has screwed the pooch on the whole Dorne plot line. It's much better in the books. But the Sand Snakes are f-----g hot though so that does make up for some of it.
  17. Heartbreaking... just heartbreaking. And just like that.... it's all over. Time to watch baseball now.
  18. Today I'm going to weed the garden, feed the dogs & rabbits, straighten up the house which is getting a little cluttered and then retire to my front porch rocking chair for iced tea, the Rays-Yankees game on the SiriusXM radio and just the general enjoyment of a relaxing sunday afternoon.
  19. Okay thanks GD ..monosyllable responses always clear things up I find Technically that's not monosllablic... Neither has two syllables. So... Went up to visit my friends back in ames. Ended up stopping at a rest stop between Des Moines and Ames... and spent 15 minutes talking to a guy about his Ferrari 458 that he was driving between Texas and Minnisota. Apparently those things don't have any form of cruise control. Did get me thinking about getting my credential and just working as a history teacher instead of busting my ass in customer service for another 30 years. But I don't know where to start to get the credential, or how to pay for that given I'd have to give up my current income to do it. https://scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xaf1/v/t1.0-9/13000255_10204620626474186_5909196698572191045_n.jpg?oh=17ed2475a5ea73e203828f041c5278c4&oe=57A6497D https://scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfp1/v/t1.0-9/13012791_10204620626634190_6311267196549398445_n.jpg?oh=7bf62528ed7984fa46bfefd9db1341e2&oe=57ADE64B The car in question. You should be doing something more befitting your education than renting out cars. Not saying it's a bad job, but you can and should be doing something better.
  20. Snell was sharp yesterday. He have up one run on three hits and 6 Ks. He looked like a kid out there he's so young. Too bad the bullpen choked up the lead and the game.
  21. In truth I don't know if the story about who actually shot Sedgewick or that it was a pre-revolutionary war rifle they used is 100% true. I read that in a book I have here on my shelf Cold Harbor to the Crater: The End of the Overland Campaign by Gary Gallagher. I also read a similar detail in another book. The actual history of the Overland & Wilderness campaigns which Spotsylvania was a part of just says Sedgewick was shot by a sniper shortly after saying his famous last words. The .30 Enfield musket was the standard weapon for infantry for both sides so in truth it would have been a hell of a shot using one of those. But a well made and maintained rifle, even and old one was a formidable weapon. It was not widely used because they took too long to reload. The Union infantry practiced a drill called "loading in 9 times" until they could do it without thinking. They could fire the Enfield 4-5 times a minute. I have a real fascination with the US Civil War. I have a LOT of books about it.
