  1. The funny thing is the media is held in such low regard these days the lack of endorsements is a positive to Trump's supporters.
  2. We are SOOOO screwed
  3. Links ? You consider it normal for a politician to believe and support something like a campaign around " gay conversion therapy " ? They tie you up up, pull down your pants and screw you until you like it!
  4. I shudder to think what THAT would be like!
  5. What a game, what a series. Happy for the Cubs and ex-Rays Zobrist & Maddon, Ex-Ray Brandon Guyer did well for himself on the Indians side as well. I watched every inning and an hour and a half of post game coverage so I'm dragging today. No more baseball. Bummer. Go Panthers, Go Buccanneers
  6. That didn't sound like an encouraging conversation to me. Applying to Firestone or Avis would commit you to nothing. See what happens.
  7. I thought it was pretty cool seeing Lebron James in the stands last night after scoring 19 points against the Rockets right across the street. He strikes me as someone who would be impossible to dislike if you knew him personally. Game 7 tonight! I don't care who wins as long as it's a close game. This series has been very entertaining.
  8. Me too! Ever since Sunday night.
  9. Go Cubs go, Go Cubs go. Hey Chicago what do you say? The Cubs are going to win today.
  10. No firearms? No you are fine. If you were a gun owner, THEN you would be considered an enemy of the state. no handgun. different. HA! Good Fun! And back on the enemies list you go! I'd say I'd save you a good spot by the burn barrel at the death, labor, reeducation camp but they are not taking me alive. They will get my guns in the end no doubt. But they will get the ammunition first. I'll serve it up one round at a time! I'm kidding of course. Unless something like that actually happens. Then I'm not kidding.

  12. I wonder why it has never occurred to anyone that if you don't conduct business in a manner that is reckless, careless, unethical, or illegal none of this s--t would happen. The best way to keep skeletons out of the closet is to not put them in there. It sure beats trying to blame the people who fling open you closet doors. Just sayin'
  13. Irony. My favorite form of humor:
  14. I put my game on hold since my genocidal, xenophobic, militaristic empire can't control more core planets and the technology can only be researched randomly and only after you research the one that increases sectors. Luckily we are beloved by everyone in the galaxy except for the energy beings but they aren't meant to be friendly. Empire building is so boring when you have a planet limit. You just have to put them in sectors until you can control more directly I'm not a big fan of the sector shuffle either but it allows you to keep expanding And takes away the tedium of upgrading buildings as technology improves.
  15. Definitely a tragic story Bruce. My sympathies that is was a family member it happened to.
  16. KP is right... we're screwed: http://bladenjournal.com/top-stories/9124/state-house-candidates-scuffle-at-beast-fest
  17. Just finished a two hour session myself. The need some more ship hulls though. It sucks when you can't tell your from theirs without clicking on them.
  18. I should give brewing a try again. Can you believe it is still illegal to make your own whiskey for personal use in the US? Past time that was changed.
  19. I harvested three tuck loads of pumpkins. On Friday, I took them to the farmers market in Covington. They paid $.035 per pound. All in all I sold them all for $211. I kept one for me though.
  20. Ah the British. Please don't make us kick your asses a third time.
  21. Yeah, you might abolish slavery or get people on the Moon. God forbid, that! Both of which were done with President's of one party and at least one house of Congress controlled by a different party. The things that everyone agrees on still get done. But when there is no power behind the political opposition you get bad things like the Patriot Act and the ACA. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Presidents_and_control_of_Congress The graph here isn't the most parseable thing, but it sure seems to me that in both 1863 and 1961 only one party controlled both houses and the presidency. After the 1860 election the Democrats had a 38-25 majority in the Senate. In 1861 the Confederate States seceded and took all but two Democrats with them. So yes, Lincoln did have an uncontested majority in 1863 but it was under extraordinary circumstances. But we are splitting hairs here. Your point is taken as to 1863. The Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo program did not begin or end with Kennedy in 1961. It began with Eisenhower and a Democrat House and Republican Senate in 1957 with the initial approval and funding and 1958 with actual operations. The goal to go to the moon mas made a national priority by Kennedy but it was always the target beginning with Mercury. Apollo ended in 1972 after 3 Presidents or two different parties and seven Congresses some controlled by one party, some controlled by both. When Congress is in opposition to the President the government does not stop working. In fact it works better because the important things we all agree on still get passed and the partisan things that are usually bad ideas to begin with get stopped. The Patriot Act, the Affordable Care Act, The Community Reinvestment Act were all very bad laws that would never have passed had Congress opposed the President or had the been an opposition President to veto them. I can think of a half dozen bad laws that were killed by veto. Our system works best when there is obstruction to keep it from working at all. If you ask me it was brilliantly designed to do exactly that.

  23. That looks good. But to write intelligently about it you'll need a sample size of at least a 12 pack.
  24. You know the best part about a Trump win would be all the crow Bruce will have to eat. He's better chew it good!
