Yeah, most of my problems with the story come from the ending bits. That's why I usually stop around the end during my recent playthroughs.

He supposedly lost it in a pazaak game, right? Since it's the same ship from the first game, which was Davik's, he could have lost it to Davik. However, he rattles off those numbers to identify it pretty quickly for someone who's not seen the ship itself in nearly 10 years. I'm not buyin' it.

Sometimes you have to start with a blank slate in order to reach the truth. If you're truly serious about wanting to know what the original texts say, then there is a long road ahead of you in terms of study, research, linguistics, etc. Filling in the blanks beforehand would be like skipping ahead in a crossword puzzle without studying the clues and analyzing them...
