  1. You are blind, or deliberately pot-stirring.
  2. Because in our male-oriented society most leaders are men does not mean females are somehow less capable of leadership. Hand that rocks the cradle rules the world aside, even. Females have shown themselves to be just as capable of leadership (or incapable - never believe anyone who tells you women are more peaceful simply because they are women) throughout history, and they've had to do it in male-oriented cultures. Generals are always men is one of the dumbest arguments I have ever heard. I am no less in capability or intelligence than most men I meet. I am more intelligent and capable than many men I meet - it has nothing to do with gender, it has to do with the individiual regardless of gonad-arrangement.
  3. kbned, I have no clue what you are talking about now. What other powers exactly are you claiming Kreia directly taught the Exile? Because she surely doesn't teach the ones you choose as you level up - only those you get the nifty little cutscene or whatever for. I've listed all of those I can remember offhand, the rest the Exile learns from experience (leveling up), Visas, the Handmaiden... or even the death of the Masters.
  4. My unneeded opinions: Escaping from reality in a game or a book is an adventure and no more implies anything wrong with your life than taking a vacation or spending a day at the beach. Tragedies as a form of "entertainment" become much more crucial in difficult times. Nations and the individuals in them need catharsis, and they need opportunities to examine their pain and traumas in a safe, third person way. Times are diffcult now, but times are always difficult - that is the human condition - the result of being a killer ape longing for peace and a higher sensibility. Saying "but it is Star Wars" is no excuse to cheapen a story. I would be devastated if I lost some of my beloved characters, but Romeo and Juliet is such an icon of love because of the sacrifices made, because of the loss, not in spite of it.
  5. Revan was a male, deal with it? LMAO almost sounds like someone has issues with women. Whatever the EU decided, I think the game suits a female Revan better, both in 1 and 2. I like a female Exile, too, though I'm more likely to consider a male Exile than a male Revan. I played 2 as a male twice just to round out the experience, and while I miss Battle Precog I do like the female storyline better. Carth doesn't whine, really - but Bastila is a snot. I could never take being talked down to so often by a supposed "love interest".
  6. I do believe in the end, the return to Malachor, that the Exile is beginning to heal - as the Disciple says, she must, or things will only continue to get worse.
  7. I was wishing for a real redheaded female Exile. (I made red-headed female Revans, but I have TSL for the Xbox and not the PC yet.)
  8. That is the silliest argument yet. You know, once very long ago, I went to high school, and my math teacher did not in fact teach me everything I learned there. The Exile learns from experience and from Visas, and the Handmaiden or Disciple, and even from T3. So no, I would not ever "admit" that Kreia teaches her/him everything beyond the three obscure powers she directly teaches the Exile, and beyond re-awakening her/him to the Force in the first place.
  9. http://www.getphpbb.com/phpbb/viewforum.ph...&mforum=k2forum I put my piece of crap here. But mine was fairly short.
  10. I thought Mira's voice acting was the worst of the companions. She always seemed like she was racing through her lines. Worst of the companions, though, can still be fairly good. However, the Jedification scene on Nar Shadaa was absolutely wonderfully done. I liked her character quite a bit, though.
  11. Oh, I completely admit she taught the Exile Passive Precog, Beast Trick, and Breath Control. Obviously she teaches the Exile those obscure powers.
  12. She seems to me much like a rape survivor with full-blown Stockholm Syndrome. When I look at her that way, I believe she'll stand on her own two feet eventually. I don't really see her as submissive as some do, merely clinging to that which helped her survive everything she's been through so far.
  13. kbned - What lack of information on my side? LMAO! There's a clear lack of information on your side, but not on mine. I know brain injury, I know PTSD, I know trauma and what survivors must do to continue on in daily life. You on the other hand, have no clue what you are talking about. That's not two-sided lack of info, that's distinctly one sided. The fact is, they described the Exile's loss perfectly, even movingly. And you may also have noticed that Kreia teaches only a few obscure Powers - the rest the Exile picks up on his own, or even re-learns as he re-makes his difficult connection to the Force (as a cypher, leaching it through others). Though that process is a game mechanic, it does not contradict the story.
  14. The subject wasn't dropped for lack of information - it was dropped out of exhaustion because you refuse to listen to anything anyone else says and honestly consider it. The eye-poking out analogy is incredibly apt. I was unsurprised to see you dismiss it without considering it.
  15. Darth Maul has a soft voice too... and he's not necessarily the poster child of his species.
  16. Ha! I'll concede it could perhaps have been handled in a clearer way - but the game mechanics is the problem, not the storyline (for both issues), imho. You can't really make a leveling up game mechanic fit in to that storyline perfectly.
  17. I absolutely adore his soft voice, esp in the tomb when you can hear he's so upset and he still doesn't raise his voice! So sexy.
  18. Actually I have gone through that dialog recently, and you can pretty much choose whether the Exile knows how to build a lightsaber or not, which is why I see it as a game mechanic so the process can be explained to the player. Stubborn! Quit flirting with me. You'll turn my head.
  19. I Bao-Dur. He's adorable, smart, funny, ripped.... can use a lightsaber.... what's not to love?
  20. Goodness. Ok, you're right and everyone else is wrong - that's what you go on anyway. BTW, you do not have to follow the "How do I build a lightsaber" convo options.... You can say "Very well. To begin with, there are some pieces I'll need." The Exile obviously knows how to build a lightsaber - the rest is just game mechanics, and not story. But cling to that all you like, not like I have any belief in your willingness to consider anyone else's theories. (And telling me not to post? Ha. Good luck with that.)
  21. Neelix is definately in KotOR 1... gad it's been a month since I played.... was he a Twilek? Maybe the merc in the Hrakert rift station? I know he's in there somewhere, because I got all nerd-giddy and screamed to my dh to come and listen to him. LOL
  22. Visas says she has eyes. Anyway - anyone heard that recruitment add (Army? Marines?) with Master Zez Kai-Ell? That's weird.
  23. Because there is not a problem It works perfectly. And guess what - you can actually reattach an arm. I've tried describing it to you in a way that would make it clear, but you don't want to consider it. To each his own.
