The "better" fix for that is to tell her to put some clothes on.

I *THINK* going into your KOTORII.ini file & editing the "Full Screen" option under Display Options should fix that. Make sure "Full Screen =1".

Did you report it to see what...if anything...it could tell you about the error? When is the error happening?

I hope some of the "non-techie" members here realize that is for ATI video cards only. That's not a cut on people....Some may come in here & read that & say, "Hey! A possible fix!" And screw their machine up even more.

I'm sorry for the confusion...I don't want to make it sound like it's so obtrusive I can't play or move it out of the way with camera angles. I was just trying to imply that I wish there was a smaller scale version like the screen shot from KOTOR shows. But there are times where it does block the center action for an opponent that may be center screen, but a distance away where you can't see what you're attacking. Not even rotating the camera resolves it. So, like I said I just wish it was scaled a little smaller....And maybe if it was placed a little higher might prevent some blockage. That's just wishfull thinking though...I can play the game fine & this isn't that big of a problem for me. Thanks!

You may want to make sure that you have any Emulation software disabled as well. Clone CD and Nero have been none to cause issues in other games.

Do you write movie studios when movies are announced as "Coming to a theatre near you soon" & explain they "messed up" for announcing something to early? Even though the probability that movie still has some edits & fixes to go through. Hell, be thankful right now you can play the game....others here can't. (I can BTW). And what do you do *IF* you go to that movie that was promoted as "Coming Soon"....You take a date or your wife (I don't know if you're married)...spend $$$ on dinner, the addmission to the movie, popcorn/snacks/drinks, probably equal to what you paid for this game & the movie absolutely sucks! You're stuck!!! SOL ! ! ! No patch for you.... My point! Friggin be patient! It's on it's way! :cool:

Yeah, I have the same issues as you! Great screen resolution but a HUD that fills the friggin screen during gameplay. And it sucks that at this point in time the only way to clear any of it up is to shut it off in the options screen. (Which really only amounts to shutting off the mini-map) in the screen shots you've provided.

I had to walk close to the railing to get that conversation to happen....when it did I made her suffer for being such a pain in the a** to convert....LOL!!!

The only way PCI-Express beats out an AGP 8x slot is if you are using 2 identical PCI-E cards. Each PCI Express slot runs in a 8x mode so doubling them up gives you the 16x speed that PCI Express is capable of. But one on one I don't think you would see a HUGE difference between 1 AGP card or 1 PCI Express card.

You are running it in XP if changing the compatability mode to 2000 worked.

Try doing some of the bonus missions....Unification is one....Try the courier mission (That's an easy one)...Maybe you haven't stirred up enough trouble for yourself to get the exchange to take notice.

I never tried going in there with only a breather mask. I didn't think you could unless you were wearing an environment suit. (At least everyone else tells you that. That the gas is capable of being absorbed through the skin) So is it possible that you are going in there & being killed from the gas but a glitch is preventing that from happening?

Just put them back into your group with your party selection screen. The same thing happens to me....not sure if it's a bug or just the way the storyline goes....but I've always been able to put my party back together.

Heat build up could cause graphic issues as well. (Crashes, slow downs) Make sure you have a "cool" machine!

I'd make sure you have a strong power supply. Any thing under 400 watts now a days with these faster systems is just not good enough.

Or when you start the game go to the configuration option...It's listed on the same screen as starting the game, update, register....etc, etc.

Wait a minute....You've bought the game, haven't even played it, but thought to come to these forums first before doing so????? I couldn't get the game loaded fast enough the day I purchased it....This was the last thing on my mind at that time. (Coming here to read up on others troubles)....Why don't you play it first & see if you have any issues before coming here and talking how impatient you are for a patch that no one knows when it's going to be released. I'll tell ya....YOu certainly are excersisng a great deal of patience....I sure as h*ll couldn't be waiting to play the game for the first time as long as you have.

If you haven't already.....Update all of your drives. Sound, video, motherboard, hell maybe even flash the Bios....that's even easy now a days. Used to be a real pain in the butt a few years ago. If you've done all of that....Try disabling movies.

Just for sh*ts & giggles...Take Mandalore around & pick up the Mandolorians that are on Dantooine & Nar Shaada & see if that will trigger anything for you. (If you haven't already done so)
