  1. Use the KSE utility....I added it to this post because I couldn't remember where I downloaded it from. ****Removed the attachment...Thanks Darth333 for pointing that out!*** Would like to ask a question about the Bastila mod....Is anyone else experience sudden game crashes using that mod? I *NEVER* had one prior to installing....It's not a great big deal, but I'm just wondering if there is something I can try to keep it from happening over & over. Seems I can play for about 25 minutes then the game freezes then closes out.
  2. He'd better not with that speed machine! (w00t) I'd be getting some company CEO's on the phone if I was.
  3. I'm running the 81.85 drivers & still can't display the grass on Dantooine on K1....K2 I still have issues with smoke. So I'd like to know a good driver to use as well.
  4. How were you able to complete the game if you never created/triggered this event? Visquis summons the Jedi to the bar, Mira then subdoes them, switches places with the jedi, goes to the bar herself, gets captured & so on & on....that's a pretty vital portion of the game.
  5. Galaxy Droid? Now that sounds like something I missed. What is that about?
  6. Do a google search for a free utility called Driver Cleaner. Even after you do the uninstall of your graphics drivers under Add/Remove programs. Run that utility. It will get every last remnant of the specified driver. (Works on all NVidia & ATI devices)
  7. Why don't you just adjust the permissions in the registry? Just open up the registry editor. Click Start>Run>enter regedit in the window, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>LucasArts>KOTOR2. Highlight that folder, right click on it & select permissions. Give "Full Control" to your account. Then you won't have to do this method you are trying. Backup your registry prior to doing this, just in case you experience any difficulties. Or at the very least create a System Restore point.
  8. You may also want to try Guru 3D. They have a bunch of different beta version drivers you could try as well. Where Omega shows the most recent NVidia driver as 66.93, The official release version from NVidia now is (I think) 77.something. Guru 3D has a NVidia beta version 81.85. Worth a shot anyway!
  9. New Egg's site has them...http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/SubCateg...?SubCategory=48 I saw at least (4) 6800's on the 3 pages of graphics cards. Apollo, BFG, & EVGA all had them.
  10. I'm rock solid on the 80.40 drivers. Try using a free program called Driver Cleaner. Just do a google search for it. That removes all traces of previous installed drivers from your graphics card. Run it...reboot...cancel the "Found New Hardware" windows annoyance & just run the set up from the 80.40 drivers, or any other version that you feel comfortable with.
  11. well, unless I'm mistaken this is the technical support forum? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh sure...go and get technical about it why don't you!
  12. It's an expansion card. <_< The below article is taken from : Tom's Hardware The Fortissimo 4 represents Hercules' latest attempt to deliver a mid-tier sound card for less than $100 for gamers and those that want great sound to go with their multimedia apps. Like the earlier Fortissimo versions, it's a PCI-format card. Compared to the Fortissimo 3, it offers 7.1 sound and looks a lot like its predecessor. However, the Fortissimo 4 is a 24 bit card, which means we should be able expect significantly better performance and new capabilities. Needless to say, applications that make use of 24 bit sound and 96 or 192 kHz sampling frequencies will require at lot of muscle from your computer and an up-to-date operating system. However, one of the upsides of the Fortissimo 4 is its ability to deliver on not-so-powerful PCs that also don't have the most recent Windows versions and updates. This capability should interest sound enthusiasts who want to improve the audio capabilities of their not-so-cutting-edge PCs. More reported at the link:
  13. This issue has been addressed on here before. Have you tried disabling movies? Have you tried earlier saved games? Or uninstalling & reinstalling the game? Updating your video drivers. Someone said that if you run to many mods, that *may* efffect your game & to remove some of them.
  14. Well I know there are updated video drivers for your NVidia card, so you may want to start there. The Realtek AC'97 Audio drivers *may* have an update available to them as well. Check your motherboards manufacturer website for those.
  15. The sound card is the Hercules Fortissimo 4. I've never heard of it, until now.
  16. Well in one sentence you say that the game & cd are not corrupt, but then in the next you say the dialog.tlk *is* corrupt. So if in fact you dialog files are corrupted then I'd say you need to do a complete uninstall of the game & reinstall it. You can save your "Saved Games" & place them back into the folder after you reinstall, but they may be currently corrupted as well. (Even though you *think* they are not).
  17. Hmmm...come to think about it, that was about the only time I saw that thing. Thanks much for the info & the link to the mod.
  18. In the Medical facility aboard the Ebon Hawk on one game there was a chemical workstation next to the bed. Now I've started a new game with a new character and the station isn't there. And now it's also gone from my old saved games using a completely different character as well. So, is there supposed to be one there or not?
  19. Sounds like you have a definite bug. Have you tried going back to an even earlier save game? (I know that's a pain in the butt, but obviously something isn't triggering the response from Atton to try & get the Ebon Hawks ID number changed. And you need to do that in order to get Goto's yacht to "capture" you so you can free your main character)
  20. I can't remember, do you get that option even though you've left Vaklu's fate to the Queen? (I may very well have left that out in my reply)
  21. Try turning all background applications Off. See if that helps. But it sounds like a video issue...Update your video card drivers. Also try putting the graphics settings to the very least of affects. (Turn everything off) And actually, does your computer meet the minimum requirements to play the game?
  22. Is Vaklu dead now? You said that you told Kreia that you were going to let the Queen decide his fate & you gained Influence. That should have happened immediately after your conversation with Kreia. Everything else was done, so there isn't a need to go & talk with anyone else.
  23. *Cues up!* T R O J A N M A Nnnnnn!!!  "
  24. The 77.72 drivers gave me some troubles with videos...Started getting really maxxed out gamma resolutions even though everything was set at default levels. I found out that it is a bug within the 77.72 drivers but a work around for it is to go to your color correction settings of the NVidia Desktop Manager & on the 2 drop down arrows make them both read "All" & "All Channels". That should fix that issue.
