  1. It's a fair game....a little on the "WTH" level for me. I just started getting into the Star Wars games & going from KOTOR to KOTOR2 kind of left that sensation of, "OK, what did I miss?"... The ending? pppffffttt...yeah, totally weak! I don't know if the story writers are trying to go for that "cliffhanger" effect or what....but if that was their intention, the cliff gave way! Way to many lose ends. Bugs can be fixed....Storylines for this game can't, it would take half of KOTOR 3 to clear the stories up from KOTOR 2, & at this point I wouldn't be willing to shovel out another $50 for resolution.
  2. Actually the keyboard is what I'd prefer to use. My mouse is a wireless optical & it's so sensitive to movement (and I've tried adjusting mouse sensitivty to slower settings) that it's really hard keeping the swoop bike going in a straight line & when attempting to turn towards an accellerator pad it (swoop bike) will "shoot" across the course & miss. It's not that big of a deal to me....I hope they get some of the bigger issues resolved with the patch. But hey! If they can resolve that in the patch....Great!
  3. Restart Dantooine....then talk to everyone else around before talking to them. Sounds stupid, but it's worth a shot...
  4. Where is the trailer announcement? I could not find it anywhere on the official site. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hmmmmm.....maybe they'll release a patch to fix that! "
  5. I'm trying to figure out how to run the swoop races using a keyboard. (My mouse is just to sensitive)...I can find key maps for left/right actions, but how can I set up the shifting of gears & jumping? On my mouse these are defaulted to a left & right mouse button. Thanks!
  6. That just made my night finding that fix! Thanks!
  7. So let me get this straight...you're meaning by load screen as the screen fading out then opening in a different location...Say for instance going from the inside of the Ebon Hawk to the outside...that change is taking 10 mins??? That's not game issues...that's issues with your PC. Is your hard drive full, for that matter have you defragged it recently?
  8. As your character first asked Atton....Kreia??? Are you that desperate??
  9. If you're travelling at a high rate of speed when you hit them, I'm guessing that a "rev limiter" was put in to place to make it seem (swoop engine) more realistic. If you're at a slow rate of speed & hitting the pad right down the middle, then I'm sure it's one of the many bugs that have been discussed for this game. I haven't experience any trouble at slow speeds...but I know if I'm travelling pretty fast & hit a pad it won't "boost" me anymore. Hope that helps!
  10. I'm using SP2 so I don't think that is your trouble. You mentioned that you may be having issues with Ram? Are you using Ram recommended for the board? (Now this is an area I know little about) but when I purchased my board last week the guy told me to absolutely make sure that I had Ram recommended by Asus for use on this board. Good Luck!
  11. I didn't understand how I could even do a mission with "Remote"...shortly after getting Go-To as a party member there was a cut scene on the Ebon Hawk where you see him/it destroying remote. So how could he be there at Malachor V if destroyed? (Or did I miss something?)
  12. I'd get over to the Acer site & start updating all the drivers for that laptop. (Graphics, sound, chipset, MOBO...anything & everything) I'd look for a BIOS update as well. You don't tell anything worth while about your pc to diagnose the problem...so go get everything updated.
  13. I just did a search on EBay for graphics cards. You can find some real nice 128MB NVidia cards for $10. AGP cards. The specific one I saw was the GeForce 4400. It might be an idea you want to look at.
  14. I'm not real sure. I searched on google & found that file is used by WinAmp. YOu could type the name of that file in a google search window & see some things I found. There seems to be some dll utilities "out there" that maybe you could look at. Just a thought!
  15. I'm running the same MOBO with a XFX GeForce 6800GT...but I'm not having any issues like you are. The first thing...Is your card in the correct PCI slot on the MOBO? Your card should be in the blue slot & not the black one. Do you have the SLI chip (on the MOBO) set for only a single card? Do you have the SLI option enabled or disabled in your BIOS? I noticed on my 6800 card that a MINIMUM of 500W power supply is needed for PCI Express cards. (I know you stated you own a 6600, but I'd definitely be looking at a stronger power supply.) Also, do you have all the power connections on the MOBO connected. There are 3 that you should have connected. Then there is a power connection on the graphics card itself that you need to connect. Hope that helps some!
