  1. Apparently they got the idea from an old interview with the creator of Metroid Prime. When asked about when the game will be released on the PS2, his answer was: "That's about as unlikely as the idea that Samus is transgender. Please enjoy it on the Gamecube.". That's their whole basis, taking a quote out of context.
  2. Since this thread turned into Sunday school, here is my favourite quote: (Corinthians 13)
  3. Those people cannot help themselves. They have to create a controversy that they themselves have to be the solution of. In the good old days those people were pitied and sent to hospitals or monistaries to be cured. They should listen to the wisdom of their forefathers.
  4. ^hahahaha They're not even trying.
  5. Just wait until we reach the singularity where we have self-serviced robots capable of conciousness. Since they can reassign their gender identity literally at whim, the amount pronouns will go through the roof! There will be a quite a demand for pronoun-specialized psychologists in the future, i can tell you.
  6. I always get a chuckle when ideologues seem to have either no idea on how mankind got where he is now, or where he should be going. Like the inherit competitiveness in games, the challenge itself is something bad or alien to them. What's that got to do with language and hurtful words on campus? Same arrogance, but for the human mind.
  7. So you're saying he's crazy enough to achieve peace in the middle east? Sadly, it will be short-lived. The political fallout from him later declaring himself the Pope of Mecca would turn out to be unrepeairable.
  8. Slightly related to GG, or more like anti-GG:
  9. I think Kanye would crazy enough to nuke Israel.
  10. Sod off. That is ridiculous. See? Wasn't that difficult, now was it? I still cross fingers for a Sanders vs. Trump-finale, politics would then finally be interesting again.
  11. Are you under the impression that has not already been done? I just don't get why you are so worked up over this. How is what you are doing any different than someone yelling "That's offensive!"? You are fighting fire with fire. Just replace "That's offensive!" with "Stop whining!" Absolutely not. Crying something being offensive implies demand for apology, which in turn puts the power of expression to the one being offended. Telling people to sod off is the only appropriate response if you want freedom to reign.
  12. I assume we are talking about Trump. If his offensive remarks are taking away from his actual substance and platforms, that is completely on him. Although oddly, it seems to be helping him in the primary. Hard to say how that would translate in a general election, you would think offending large swathes of the country would be a bad strategy. Way to dodge my question btw. edit: Just to rephrase it, what is your 'suggestion' for people that are offended by what Trump has said? I can't believe this, i have already demonstrated that "being offended" is completely meaningless and any form of trying to control it is a slippery slope to tyranny. What is it that is so difficult to understand? My suggestion for those being offended? cry my a river and then some. Instead whining about it being offensive that the guy wishes to deport all mexicans, argue logically and rationally why they are essential to society, how USA benefits by them, why it is morally wrong to throw them out and build a wall. It's not that hard.
  13. See there is a huge difference between your two sentences. You make it sound like they are inextricably tied together. You can be offended by something, you can point it out and explain what is wrong with that something, etc. That is not censorship. It isn't even close to censorship. I mean, what is your plan here? Do you want to censor anyone who ever gets offended by stuff in order to keep society from being politically correct? Overzealously committing yourself to offensiveness is no better than overzealous political correctness. I am offended by your toxic language and your inconsideration for trauma against dyslectic people. Your post has been reported. See what i am doing here? This whole page has denegerated into trivial "muh feelings!"-BS because people are focused on offensive language and what it should be. All while the important questions of substance are gone in the wind.
  14. Uh, you can a bit of decorum without being a tyrant. ...which isn't my point either. Being "offended" is a smokescreen for controlling speech no matter how you spin it. No its not that people don't understand, its your premise that is questionable You basically making excuses or trying to justify offensive\rude\crude\derogatory comments I am offended by your snide comments. Mods, shut him up.

  16. Interesting, so you don't think his comment about...lets say the Mexican community are offensive? http://www.latinpost.com/articles/66043/20150714/rupert-murdoch-slams-donald-trumps-remarks-about-mexican-immigrants.htm http://www.latinospost.com/articles/65207/20150626/latin-celebrities-responds-to-donald-trumps-hateful-comments-about-mexican-immigrants.htm It's like you didn't understand my point at all.
  17. "Offending people" is completely subjective and serves no purpose outside of those who wish to control what offensive means to them. Basically, it is the tool of the tyrant that controls speech and manufactures context.
  18. When i read about these Polygon writers whining about women, the more confused i become. Why are they being annoyed? What's wrong sexy women? Have they been conditioned to hate male impulses?
  19. Man, that groooooove
  20. TV shows are the tools of oppression. //edit, somewhat related to topic. Why the right to offend is important: ...and why it isn't? i guess https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkEVDnV0-LE //edit 2: I highly recommend the last video, just to see Peter Hitchens', which is an awesome guy btw, facial expressions. Simply priceless.
  21. You might have missed it, but GG has been labeled worse than ISIS several times.
  22. The tradition of black pete is oppressive against minorities since it is perpetrated by white people and should be abolished, and you better not judge ISIS practicing their cultural vibrancy, you ****lord, but we are all equal. Besides, those ruins were built by europeans aeons ago, who cares. What you see is them only participating in what can be described as deconstructing oppressive structures made from old white men, but we are all equal.
