What Makes You Think There Might Be A KOTORIII?
Meshugger replied to KotorianRuler's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yup, since the game sold 500000 copies on the xbox in the US during december, it's just a matter of time until the third one is in development. -
LucasArts Chronicles Spoilers
Meshugger replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The last two chronicles should not be read by those who haven't played the game yet. Especially the parts about Revan, Kreia and Atris. They more or less reveal half of the game there. -

What? do non-US citizens have the internet too? " -
Designer Ramblings: New Cast of Companions
Meshugger replied to Chris Avellone's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Why not? My internet access is the same as yours. I also happen to be tapping my fingers waiting for the current build, so... It's not unusual. Writers were assigned jobs on KotOR according to area (I, for instance, was assigned "Korriban" so pretty much everything that gets said there is from me) or by plot. Drew was writing the critical path, for instance, which included all of Bastila's "main" dialogue, and I was writing the romances. He then ended up doing some extra romance edits for Bastila near the end of the project when I was busy doing something else. In other words, sometimes it just ends up that way. Generally, though, one writer will be responsible for maintaining the "sound" of the character. For Bastila, that was Drew. David Gaider Design, Bioware corp. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sure thing, i guess that i don't know enough about the industry know exactly how it works in those areas. -
KOTOR III Character Idea List
Meshugger replied to AromisTallion's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
That's disgusting. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Come to think of it, how would it be if the wookie in KotOR III is shaved, albino and a dwarf at the same time. That would make an interesting character. -
Designer Ramblings: New Cast of Companions
Meshugger replied to Chris Avellone's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I wrote most of Bastila's romance dialogue, including the scenes with her mother. The only other dialogue I wrote for her was when you encounter her on the Star Forge... the final confrontation with her where you can convert her back to the Light Side. I don't know if that's the "ending" for her, per se, but it's certainly near the end. Drew Karpyshyn wrote the rest of Bastila's dialogue, essentially everything that happens outside of the romance and including the stuff that happens on Dantooine and the Unknown World. David Gaider Design, Bioware corp. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This was unexpected. A response from a Bioware dev at this board? Btw, why did you have two diffirent people writing the dialogue for one single character? -
- EA? sheesh, Konami all the way. - Squaresoft? Agreed. - NWN? Glad you liked it, and it sold well too. But many still consider it a dissapointment(especially before the addons were released). But that's not my point. Some people here claim that Bioware hasn't done anything faulty(in both gamecontent and performance), which isn't exactly the truth.

which would be a valid point if murdoch actually had anything to do with running fox news. all of fox's news is scrutinized by a panel of liberal and conservative journalists - an equal split, btw. they determine what content fox reports, not rupert. if you actually did any investigation, you'd know this... but you don't care, you've got your bias to rest on. the hypocritical part about this is that you're accusing them of the very failure in your own argument. taks btw: ted turner is a wide supporter of the democratic party and their agenda... does this mean you think CNN is biased liberally because of that fact? hmmmm, seems we have a double standard here. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks for proving my point. No news channel should be run by people with their own agenda.

do you have any clue what the term news analyst means? o'reilly is supposed to put in his opinion! that's his freaking job... for freak's sake, how hard a concept is this to understand? taks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's still rude, blending opinion with facts and acts in a very unproffessional manner. Why should there be a news analyst in the first place?
-
Murdoch is a wide supporter of the republican party and their agenda(which is no secret), especially Reagan and his politics. It can make one wonder if FOX news is really the epitone of unbiased, investigative journalism.

I just happened tune in to FOX news to see what the fuzz is all about. My verdict is: - "Fair and balanced"? Well, from a right-wing point of view, i suppose. (I.e. american flag, "War on terror" and so on...) - Where's the journalism? Every news coverage is filled with the newsreporters making their own comments, making it hard to separate facts from opinions. - Bill o'Reilly is an insult to a proffessional journalism. Telling people to shut up, putting words in the opponents mouth, putting in his own opinion when talking about facts and so on... - What's with the "Some people say", how can you have a news channel with the commenter stating rumors? Where's the facts? the reports? anything? - Take how they dealt with Clarke against the Bush administration, they were investigating his motives, political or not, and his persona. Almost nothing about the accusations itself he made, pure rumor-bin and spinning. Again, where's the investigative journalism? This channel is trying to make entertainment out of news. This idea itself is very appaling. For what it's worth, i find it to be equally entertaining as the "Daily Show", which isn't exactly a good thing.

...and my local retailer says the same aswell

Lets hope not concidering the pretty pathetic job Obsidian did with Kotor 2..... its time to bring Bioware back in <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Be careful with those flamebaits. Bioware is not the best thing happened to gaming, KotOR 1 also had looping dialogue trees, game-stopping bugs(Galaxy droid, Carth-bug), endings that were cut from the final version(DS female with Carth sacrificing herself on the StarForge), npc's that could've been party-members(Yuthura Ban), and planets that didn't get to the final version(Sleyheron). Also, they released NWN.

KOTOR 2 Problems Compromise for KOTOR 3
Meshugger replied to SD Nihil's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
1. Sneaky, manupilating. 2. It should be integrated in the level-up system. For example, for each time you level up, there's more dialogue options. But to explore them fully, you'll need influence. 3. Less dynamic, let the series end in a grand finale (LS: saviour of the galaxy, DS: you've killed 'em all, but you'll die yourself.) 4. Keep them like in KotOR 1, it's nice to break away from the main storyline from time to time. 5. Huh? I haven't noticed that yet 6. How do you deal with the DS/LS/male/female Revan, DS/LS/male/female Exile? How will these factors affect the story? -
dyslexic much? kidding! :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *sobs* :">

I wholeheartly support the idea, but shouldn't it be named KoTNR instead?

My expextations for KOTOR III
Meshugger replied to PhantomJedi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
- Engine: use Unreal Engine 3.0, but keep the character/world proportions the same and the gamemechanics intact. Improve character animations, add more enviroment interaction. - Influence: Modify the influence system so that it's incorporated with the character levelling. I.e. everytime you level up, there's a new dialogue option for each character, but you have to gain enough influence to make the party member to answer to you. - Include character banters outside the Ebon Hawk/your ship aswell. - DO NOT sacrifice quantity over quality, i rather have 10 planets and 10 well developed characters than 30 shoddy ones. - Make sure that this game has a conclusive ending, marking it the end of Revan's/The Exile's stories. - Make the random-item-generator 'less' random. Finding mutakai apprentice robe on Peragus was a bit odd. - Have the option to holster your weapons. -

Playmoreconsoles.com TSL review
Meshugger replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Spelling-errors aside, there's some lack of objectivity in the review. But considering your age Tyrell, it will probably get better over time.
