  1. Eleven (11!) times through? That's double amount of times that i've played K1 and K2 together.
  2. http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=6837 <-- Comments?
  3. Exactly, if i was a dev, i would do the same thing.
  4. Ofcourse no dev will comment on this one, i think that they're quite aware of the situation of KotOR II, with people knowing that they cut the whole damn ending.
  5. I read something similar at the gamefaqs forums earlier today, the rumors are spreading quickly. If true, the announcement will probably be just one headline at E3 the earliest, without any content, story or graphics being shown.
  6. That ending will be left as dialogue, i'm afraid. With no SDK released, it's almost impossible to re-do the whole thing.
  7. That's debatable, Bioware said that they designed KotOR with the idea of only making one game in the franchise. However, just before the game was completed, Lucasarts got other plans.
  8. About the first sentance: right and thats all signs of polish. Seriously tho, think how much those "misc" aspects of the game helped K1. About the second: I disagree with the story part. I'd say their about even. I'm not going to give K2 credit for the story they were trying to tell, only the story that they told. IMO, the game was carried by the dialogue and characters. all of that would have been VERY nice. if only they had 6 more months, give or take. As for ending openly, they didn't mind killing off most characters in K1. I think they just ran out of time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who knows, but KotOR II feels only half-finished after reading the contents of dialogs.tlk. Sure KotOR 1 had one ending cut from the final product, but it didn't affect the overall feel, unlike KotOR II.
  9. It's normal. Finish the game dark side and you'll see your own character at the start-up screen.
  10. I would say that overall, KotOR 1 is better due to the better presentation and flow. Although KotOR II had a better story, dialogue and characters. P.S. Has anyone read this? quite infuriating that it wasn't included, it was like someone thought that it was too conclusive and wanted KotOR II to end more openly.
  11. I have an XBOX, I just decided to wait for the PC version because I like higher resolution textures and better lighting/shadows. And for those that say "this game runs fine on my system!" ... have a look at this: http://www.gamepro.com/computer/pc/games/reviews/42011.shtml So, as you can see ... it's not just "us" and it's not just Radeon cards because i have a GeForce FX 5900 Ultra 256MB and I still have framerate problems. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Adding the line "Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1" at the [Graphic Options]-tab in swkotor2.ini-file made my frame-rate issues go away without noticing any drop in graphics quality. Dantooine is running flawlessly now for me My specs: AMD Sempron 3000+ Radeon 9800 512MB ram Running KotOR II at: 1024x768@85Hz 4xAA 8xAniso Everything at high.
  12. The .zip includes just the manual, no game specific content.
  13. What a bummer. No really, that's a real bummer. Cursed are the ones who made the decision NOT to include this.
  14. Almost. Undying lost it a little when you had to travel to "Eternal Autumn". Still, one of the best FPS ever.
  15. If you don't understand what a graphics-driver is, attend a basic computer course. If that doesn't help, buy a console.
  16. Visas was more interesting IMO.
  17. Well, as an engineer in Information Technology i don't agree with you. You should know that a regular software or application is a much more controlled enviroment than a game. You can't compare the two, unless you're into 3D-simulation. Ever wondered why games generally have more bugs than regular software?
  18. Use spoiler-tags.
  19. Funny review, sounds like Volourn is a member of the staff at somethingawful.com. One nitpick though:
  20. Sounds like you're wearing an armor that's force-restricted.
  21. IIRC, you have to talk to the "leader" of the Ithorian compound.
  22. Yep, most of your questions will be answered. Actually, you will answer them yourself as you see fit. You'll understand later on.
  23. Cheats? what for?
  24. Have you broken in to the Czerka mainframe yet? After that, the Ithorian leader will tell you about Bao-Dur and will give you a secret transport to the restoration zone. You'll meet the two criminals shortly after that.
