  1. The Mandalorian "honor" is a bit strange. - They don't care if there's civilians in a world were they are waging a war against, burn it! (Canderous muttered something about soldiers should be with people who can't fight). - Going to a great battle, the better if the odds are against you, is honor. - If you're defeated, respect them greatly, they deserve the greatest honor. - Provocation is okay, even destroying worlds with innocent people. They seem to share the same values as the spartans when it comes to the battle itself, but resemble the huns when it comes to warfare.
  2. Just bearly. While the ending needs some new scenes in the same enviroment, the factory is several levels that aren't even finished yet.
  3. Changing the ending doesn't require to rehire any texture artists or voiceovers. That alone can be made with a minor team of programmers and someone fixing the animations. This can be released as a patch. The HK-factory would require some more job though, i wouldn't mind if it was included in KotOR III instead.
  4. While Bastila Shan theme is very good, it's still an alteration of the original the "Binary sunset". Duel of fates still gives me the goosebumps when i hear it, imperial march has been heard waaaaaay to many times.
  5. It will be released it will be released, the more time it will take, the more will be fixed(hopefully?).
  6. He did 3-4 years of pre-production for Fallout 3? Poor guy, getting to see his vision getting bought up by someone else.
  7. Bah, so this means that Lucasarts thinks that KotOR II is fine as it is, and no need for a content patch. Seems like KotOR III will not see the light of the day until 2007/2008 <_< If Obsidian is working on something entirely new, i don't want more of the same fantasy/post-apocalyptic crap. Make something new instead, with the setting is at present day with the player drawn into a "larger than life" story. But no magic and no silly uberweapons, just regular fist fighting(kung fu! (w00t) ) and weaponry dealing from baseball bats to katanas and uzis. So when you're going out with your party, it's you (whatever your preference is), your regular karate wizkid, the knife/melee expert and the dirty harry-gun crazy dude.
  8. Looks like the perfect sandbox game.
  9. Or for women, perhaps the sex without the foreplay. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So true. ^_^ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nah, if you want to compare KotOR II to sex, it's more like this: You find a beautiful female, even more beautiful than the one before. Instinct tells that it's instant attraction. You make love, the foreplay is slower but you're more experienced this time, so you know what to expect. The actual sex is great, it has some new sting and flavour to it, but it's still as great as the last time, some would say even better. As you're approaching the climax, things seems to go too fast, the intensity is fading away, the essence of making love is transformed to basic lust. And at the point orgasm, you start wondering how it ended up like this? And after the act, you two wonder on what just happened, did any of us came? was there a point in this? Why did we have sex in the first place?
  10. Since, as a lead designer for the company, the guy can hardly come on the board and screams 'I ADMIT IT! KOTOR II's ending was HORRIBLE!', it's good to see him take a more subtle approach to letting us know he didn't approve of the way things turned out, either. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No suprise really, he even admitted asking Lucasarts to re-do ending and other cut elements from KotOR II, i still like his way of telling it though
  11. -"KotOR II is a pure jem, but a flawed one". -"KotOR II has a better role-playing experience than KotOR 1, but KotOR 1 was a better game". That's the ones i've heard.
  12. Don't get me wrong, I too see LucasArts as the big evil in this story. I'm merely pointing out that Obsidian does, after all, share some of the responsibility for the game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Too bad there isn't much more to say on this subject, Feargus statement clearly shows that he's behind contract and can't say much more about this. It wouldn't suprise me however, if there was a announcement in the near future something in the vein like this: "After a huge public interest and support, we will release a director's cut version of KotOR II, including all the small details that would make any Star Wars fan jump in joy". P.S. AgainstOne seems like an enigma to me. Someone involved in the industry like him surely knows that when you're sending a complaint, you always keep a polite tone no matter what the problem is. While he has a point that the game feels rushed and unfinished, the whole "SHAME ON YOU OBSIDIAN!"-attitude is very immature and he should know better than that. I think that he doesn't even work in the defense industry, i think that he's one of the staff from somethingawful.com, trying punch all the buttons to see what the reaction is.
  13. It's called "pulling a Maul". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Heh
  14. Actually, the original trilogy is heavily circulated among the "not-so-legal" community.
  15. Why did Francis ford Coppola add 45 minutes to his 3 hour behemoth "Apocalypse Now!"? Why did George Lucas change the original Star Wars trilogy?
  16. Atleast there was a reply, hopefully Lucasarts will give Obsidian some funding to release a "added content"-patch. Considering that the original thread about the cut-ending has 432 000 views as we speak + the petition has 6500 signatures to it, and there's about 35 threads about it at the Lucasarts forum.
  17. How a bunch of furballs managed to defeat a legion of stormtroopers, clones breed for warfare with Mandalorian genes in their blood, is beyond me.
  18. You've never seen the Original Trilogy? <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  19. ...for new studio (Crytek won) and best writing. While Chris Avellone didn't win, i find that the winner was a bit odd: Half-Life 2. I must've have missed something, what was so good about the writing in Half-Life 2? link.
  20. Oh, sounds like they're doing an own IP then. No KotOR III until 2007/2008 then <_<
  21. What's the second project? NWN2 is the only project that they're working on atm.
