In some cases, they work out pretty good, considering it's a situation that's more fun in japanese than in english. But in other, like Xehla in in Baten Kaitos, it just sounds like they're reading it from a paper directly, completely unaware of the situation that their character is in(A character with a mortal wound can tell a 5 minute monologue without a single cough).

IIRC, they would only do it, if it was successful on the Xbox. Now was it successful or not?....

The problem is that it is probably going to be made into a race-relations issue by news hype and activists. That gets a bit tiresome. Poor people are people, period. However, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a justified undercurrent to build on in this case; it fits in the overall picture. Obsidian made a post about a content patch, and then LucasArts demanded they remove the post. Who gave up? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not to mention that MCA sent LA his proposal for the content patch which was flatly rebuffed. Unfortunately, Chris' post was later "removed". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Which leaves the reason behind Obsidian being tight-lipped about everything that includes KotOR II, as "damage control".

Channels that go by the same sensationalism formula as Fox and CNN are not news-channels, they're entertainment. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Your saying they don't have any noticeable political bias or even say a anti-american or anti-iraq war bias? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> News-channels in Scandinavia don't need to jeopardize their journalistical integrity in order to get high ratings(= dull sensationalism, slander, entertainment) since they're financed by the goverment. While it's illegal for the goverment to intervene in the whole procedure (they just pay them), correspondets and ancors are hired for their objectivity. Even if there was a slight oppurtunity that the new was influenced by the goverment, it would be very hard since most goverments are made out of coalitions of parties (left-center, right-center and so on...).
