  1. Request: In order to make bigger and dynamic worlds, use engines like the Unreal Engine 3.0.
  2. That's skill. How many hitpoints did you have?
  3. No developer would do that though. It would basically be the same to say to rest of the industry (and fans) "Yup, f*cked up reeaaal bad on this one, folks. But don't worry, we got it all set up for a new trilogy that will be much better".
  4. No problem If KotOR III was made in the vein i want it to be, there still would be a whole lot problems with the storyline, but that's up to the devs to work out. Possible alignment/gender with Revan/Exile. R = Revan E = The Exile M = Male F = Female LS = Light side DS = Dark side R:M:LS E:M:LS, R:M:DS E:M:DS, R:F:LS E:F:LS, R:M:LS E:M:DS, R:M:DS E:M:LS, R:F:LS E:F:DS, R:F:DS E:F:LS, R:M:LS E:F:LS, R:M:LS E:F:DS, R:M:DS E:F:LS, R:M:DS E:F:DS, R:F:LS E:M:LS, R:F:LS E:M:DS, R:F:DS E:M:DS. That atleast 14 diffirent characteristics of those two + this time, the player knows what's on the horizon (little room for plot-twists) + a whole lot of characters that might do cameos. So i have some understandment if they decide to ditch the Revan/Exile alltogether. But it would infuriate me ofcourse.
  5. Version 0.4f1 already. Keep up the good work, not long until version 1.0c (I read somewhere on your forums that you won't release anything until that perticular build).
  6. It's not that they're the end of the KotOR universe. Revan played a huge role in KotOR I and was given even more rep in KotOR II. The Exile, the best general Revan had, continued his work in KotOR II. They both gone into the unknown regions to face the greater threat, that's why they deserve a good portion of the story in KotOR III, since the whole story is based on their actions(if they continue the story in the third installment, that is). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Although I didn't care for the ending in #2, it was an ending. The exile rode off into the sunset and the Republic again is safe for the time being. If the developers decide to bring back Revan and the Exile, you'll get no complaints from me. If they decide to go about a completely different route, that's even better in my opinion. I am fairly unbiased as I'm not the one who has to work on it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I misread your intentions, my apologies. For the record, before the story of KotOR II was revealed, i was very negative about the possible continuation of Revan's story. My opinion about KotOR III is more in the vein of "You started it, and you've better finish it".

  8. No, no, no......NO. That's again lazy story-line design. Although, they shouldn't be party members, they should still play a vital role in KotOR III. Give them male/female voices (it doesn't matter in the long run if a few people think that they're not the "right" voice), so the main character can interact with them about their agendas. I wouldn't mind if one or both of them die during the course of the game, as long as it's in a blaze of glory, which they clearly deserve. Nothing would be more irritating than reading the first sentence in the opening credits as: "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic III" "Revan and the Exile died during their campaign in the unknown regions. Now the Republic is at stake blablabla...".
  9. Oh, i stand corrected then.
  10. Doesn't say much actually. It could mean aswell that PC gamers and reviewers are more picky when comes to games on their platform. Any demographic analys can show you that the PC crowd is more "hardcore" than the console crowd.
  11. I do not agree. I might've agreed with you if only KotOR 1 was released, but i find it to point of insulting if a company makes two games, which are connected heavily to each other through the storyline, and suddenly before the big finale, ignoring everything and start over. A KotOR III without any reference to what happened to Revan and The Exile or other sense of conclusion is a lazy act of cowardice by the devs IMO in the eyes the fans(not you, but i dare to suggest a majority) of the KotOR-series.
  12. George Bush doesn't like secular people "
  13. For my own preference, i don't see a reason NOT buy the Revolution if it hits the stands at 129
  14. Source: http://revolution.ign.com/articles/673/673799p1.html Gamecube specs: IBM Gekko CPU: 485 MHz ATI Flipper: 162 MHz Basically, games will look x2 than these cube games:
  15. So why the bleep won't my movies display in better quality after the patch? My monitor *does* support the 1600x1200 resolution. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Partly because they're encoded interlaced. It looks iffy on TFT monitors (i have one).
  16. I should stop reading threads about KotOR, it makes me want a KotOR III even more.
  17. Got alot e-mails with the header "When is it done?" lately?
  18. This is the way i want it: At next year's E3, we see a MS representative stating that MS will focus more on RPG's than the last console iteration. Then, he hands the microphone to a Lucasarts employee (Mike Gallo, if he's still there), who's stating "Well, this title doesn't need any further explanation, lets just roll the trailer now, shall we?" After the regular Lucasarts and Obsidian logo's, the trailer begins. The trailer will first show a much more detailed Bastila stating the following to the camera "Revan hasn't yet been found, and after him(her) several of the former high command has dissappeared, including his(her) highest ranking general". Then the camera pans to the Jedi Counsil at Coruscant stating the obvious "Most conserning"-looks and talks. A new scene including Admiral Carth talking to the Disciple over a hologram. Carth asks "What's the situation on Dxun?". The Disciple (with Handmaiden and Mira in the background in Jedi Robes), answers: "The Mandalorians are at an alarming rate regrouping under their Mandalore Ordo. Their numbers are now tens of thousands and steadily rising with a fleet of considerable size. But there's one thing..." - "What is it?", ask Carth. - "Their fleet isn't regrouping in a formation towards the core worlds, or even the outher rim. It's almost like they're fortifying against the unknown regions", answers the Disciple. - "Exile....", Carth mutters. - "I beg your pardon?", asks the Disciple. - "Nothing, over and out". The text "The Final battle is near" and "Where will you stand?" comes up. After that, the scene takes place on Tatooine, where a younger boy/girl (the main character) sees a ship land in the horizon. Two figures emerges in the distant and later, one can now indentify by their appereance that it's two well-known droids. "Take us to the nearest Republic officer, meatbag. We have a message from my master" and a "Bee-oooop-dwoooo" for comic value. Back to Bastila, stating: "As long as their fates are not known, i fear that republic might face a force beyond what happened during the Mandalorian wars". Now the camera just shows a lightsaber. Panning out, a black robe. Panning even more out, it's Revan in his/her black suit. Panning even further, you can see Revan with the Exile(face covered with the mask that Nihilus once had) on a battlecruiser bridge, looking at the depths of space. End with a "coming in 2007" All graphics done with the unreal engine 3.0.
  19. Hmm, i suddenly got an urge to do a complete KotOR marathon after reading this thread (both of them in chronological order).
  20. A very well-written review. Good work!
  21. I really hope that there will not be another world war with Japan involved. Imagine what their soldiers would do to you (and your family) if they were your enemy.
  22. I don't remember Cloud being disgruntled. His personality was quiet interesting for a hero to... he had major self esteem issues. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, considering that his whole life was a lie, you can't blame him. Personally, there aren't any major issues between the bioware and Obsidian forums (aside from Bioware being a little more strict). But i like interface at Obsidian more.
  23. Sounds like the real world to me
  24. I haven't played any of the new Prince of Persia-games. Actually, i've played PoP back in the day, on a 286 PC. You know, those who had a turbobutton on them (8mhz --> 16mhz). Maybe i should give the new ones a try.
  25. No suprise there, i kinda like Eurogamer's reviews. They're like gamespot, but with a more sense of humor.
