I'm spoiled. In my hometown of Vaasa, Finland, there's hasn't been a christmas WITHOUT snow since 1994.

The whole thing would not be as suspicious if documentary was aired though, among other strange happenings during the case.

The end is the beginning is the end.
I managed try out the Xbox360 at a local store in Turku, Finland today. It was connected to a 23" HDTV but no speakers or sound. My impressions were: - The image is sharper with HDTV, but it suffered from the same tearing that one can observe with PC monitors when the vsync is off. Very irritating (ratio errors on that perticular TV maybe?) - The controller is nice (wireless, whee!). - King Kong looked like an aware PC-game, nothing special since it was a port. - NHL2006 had nice reflections but xbox 1 graphics in general, meh. - NBA2006 had massive tearing and jumpy framerate, but better graphics than the Xbox, yay! - PGR3 was really beatiful, and had nice graphics, feel and gameplay. No collition detection though. Overall: I wouldn't get it at this stage, none the games had any interest (PGR3 was nice, but i wouldn't buy a Xbox360 for that). When the price goes down and with a library of games like Halo 3, Ninja Gaiden 2 + some Bioware, Obisidian and Mistwalker rpg's, i might get it.

Conspiracy of Silence
I just saw it, it can be found at almost every Bittorrent site. From Wikipedia: Veeery interesting, but since the evidence is dependent completely on eyeswitness, i doubt that there's a case. What's more interesting though, is the media's and the FBI's dealing with the matter.

Xbox Live: Racist haven?
Xbox Live needs a maturity test before allowing the player to go online. For example, the player has to play a game of Halo 2 offline against bots with the headset on. If any slurs like "n*gger, gay, b1tch, pigf*cker" and so on are detected, the player can't play online until the next maturity-test(which can't be re-started until 24hours later).

What are you playing now?
I bought Soul Calibur III today, which is ofcourse the best fighting game ever, only rivaled with Soul Calibur 1 and Soul Calibur II. (Ninja Gaiden doesn't count, different genre).

What are you playing now?
F.E.A.R. -it's ok actually. And Gabrielle should buy Halo 1 instead of the second one. The original is much better in terms of setting, story and gameplay.

Looking for CRPG
Yeah, like some JRPG's. Several of them have excellent stories(FF, Baten Kaitos, Chrono Trigger, etc...)

The end is the beginning is the end.
Hopefully in europe, where the standard is 220V, there shouldn't be the same heat/voltage problems as in the US.

Halo, Jade Empire and of course Ninja Gaiden.- The end is the beginning is the end.
If you read the whole thread, you'll see that there's alot of different problems, i.e. not booting at all, OS errors, faulty disc drives etc...- The end is the beginning is the end.
It looks like the Xbox360 has the same problems as PS2 did at launch.- Piracy
The general public is shallow, you want the extended editions of the LOTR movies on your HDD?(ripped, no extras), or do you want it nicely packaged, filled with extras on your bookshelf? Look at the salesfigures for it. Mark Rein of Epic Games think that piracy is a non-issue, the same do Warren Spector. Take the anime-industry for example, they(the japanese) care less if it's spread through the internet, as long it gets more recognition.- Piracy
Personally, i think the whole piracy-issue is overblown. If one is reading the boards at warez-communities, every game-release has it's own poll if it's buyable or not. Those games who get high rating, tend to sell good aswell(HL2, Halo 2 and so on). Also, games like RPG's, already have their hardcore fanbase that buys the games no matter what. And as third argument, most games that are pirated are intentionally left with the multiplayer part untouched, as a carrot for those who liked the single player campaign. (=You have to buy the game if you want to play online) The best way to tackle piracy, IMO, is to give the consumer more options like they've done with movie-industry: Designing the cases to look like they're actually worth something, bonus material, extras, unlockable content and so on.- The end is the beginning is the end.
Yep, but it will be a while before i start investing in an HDTV. I would never buy one for a console though, i might reconsider when all broadcasts are in HDTV(a 27" costs a whopping 1099 - To what music are you listening right now?
