  1. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Come on, Bush jokes are so 2000
  2. Personally, i think that he will join his dad at the carlyle group. Judging from his character, he doesn't seem like the idealistic president that would travel around and preach the word, so to say.
  3. It is very lucrative. IIRC, the 1,5h lecture had a pricetag of 8000
  4. A week ago, former president Bill Clinton was visiting a Tampere University here in Finland to do a speech about globalization, foreign policies and the future of world affairs. While this sounds like something that i would expect Clinton do after his presidency, but what would Bush do? Would he do the same? Or would he join his dad at the Carlyle group? Invest in the stockmarket? return to Oil-business? Or would he actually write a book, travel to univerities around the world, doing speeches about the current and future state of foreign affairs? Especially, what do YOU think? In a serious matter ofcourse.
  5. Nothing really, Oblivion takes place in Cyrodiil, which is neighbouring province to Morrowind. And whatever your character did in Morrowind, has no impact on the story in Oblivion. Some guilds aren't available in Oblivion as in Morrowind, but that's it. The only thing that you'll miss are some minor gameplay/rpg-options, but that's it.
  6. The next nVidia graphic-card should be named something else than the GeForce. How about eXtaGon? Zeetor? Excelsior? The list could be endless.
  7. Morrowind: + Interesting world and setting + Lots of guilds and different quests + Lots of roleplaying options (stat-wise) - Color palette (everything is brown) - Characters look horrible - The main quest incredibly bland - Most quests are actually pretty generic - Weird combat Oblivion: + Larger world + Guilds and quests are more focused + Voiceacting + Better main quest - Level/Skill system - Characters look better, but still bad - Less guilds and quests - The setting is as generic as it can be - The combat is still bad On the whole, i would still recommend Oblivion over Morrowind. Morrowind's lack of focus and generic quests made the overall feeling really boring.
  8. Well, Bill Hicks(RIP) was quite a fan of the idea, but look where it got him, died of stomach-cancer by the age of 33 On a serious note, many people wish for that, but the big boys (goverments, enterprises and what not) + the general public doesn't want it all. Man is too complex (or stupid) for those ideas, it's still the old "we where here first", "Our religion is the way, and everybody should convert", "Our race/culture is superior to yours" and other geopolitical spheres of interest, which are mostly concentrated on who has the best natural resources and technology. Luckily, the US is the superpower right now, atleast there you can theoretically change the overal international policy every four years. Still better than the other theocratic and totalitarian states out there.
  9. It's in the human nature to concentrate one to different social groups with similar interest and defend them to any cost, even by eradicating your enemy. What numberman is trying to say, is that the Geneva convention is a ideal goal for human kind to progress beyond its barbaric heritage. But in the long run, as long as we have the "Us and Them"-attitude, civilizations only progress by warfare(political, cultural, monetary or military). - "The Horror"
  10. Both are the goons from each side of the politcal spectrum. While Moore is trying portray a somesort of altruistic view of people and the world, Coulter seems to be downright evil at times.
  11. The French should've gotten him, reinstituted Devil's Island, and put him there for some nice, hard work for the rest of his life.
  12. This has to be the greatest ending ever.
  13. I've never played any of the Suikoden games, but i since the fifth one seems to have gotten pretty ok'ish reviews, i might give it a try. Has anyone here tried it? Good? Bad? Ugly?
  14. Maybe in the US, but not for another three weeks here in Europe. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> True, the only exam-free month in Europe(College/University-level) is July.
  15. The design-team deserves a big punch in the nuts for this decision. Sure, games like KotOR, Ninja Gaiden and Jade Empire are playable on the Xbox360, but the performance is horrible. And i still can't play Morrowing GOTY on my Xbox360.
  16. If you want a names supporting your stance about KotOR III in your mail, feel free to use mine

  21. webuser: Meshugger sternest: Huge germs.
  22. Nobody in this debate is claiming the difficulty of coding on the console has any relation to the success of the it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was responding to the thread title, my bad
  23. Oh, and PC gaming will never go away. It's the only platform that isn't bound by its hardware and will always push the envelope. It's like saying that Metal music is gone and forgotten, far from it.
  24. People, people. The difficulty of using the X amount of threads are not going to make or break the console's success. The PS2 was way more difficult to write code for than the PS3, but it didn't stop it from selling 100 million copies worldwide. A console's success is determined by (courtesy of Meshugger's very insightful and delicate understanding of the market) the following factors: - Games. - More games, better games, and a big library of them. - Hype, style and understanding of the target audience. (What's cool? What's hip?)
  25. Pretty eyes <{POST_SNAPBACK}> pretty amisviikset <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
