  1. Lets widen our perspective a bit fellas: http://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/originals/2014/07/islamic-state-fighting-hamas-priority-before-israel.html
  2. I am still surprised how civil this thread has been so far though. No "Death to Israel!" or "Nuke the Middle East!" yet.
  3. Looks like one of them is playing the "hard to get"-act, pfeh.
  4. I've been to London three (or is it four? i can't remember) times and i have seen almost all the basic tourist attractions, atleast once. But one thing has always stuck in my mind: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ojomTUt0X4
  5. Those Palestinians have such a narrow political spectrum. They should move on and get on with the times and adopt some more western thinking: like gender & identity studies. Who wants to fight and shoot rockets when there's time to discuss what is truly masculine and feminine traits, and debate what is truly Palestinian. When does one become one? What are the manifestations of Palestani culture? Then there will be peace in our times.
  6. Yeah, i've been across the american south, and this kind of weather was just normal summer there. But there was ACs everywhere, and the houses were built to expel heat, not to contain it. My house is also made of concrete with double sided windows (no AC), so while trying to sleep, you can actually feel the heat radiating from the wall. Lucky me, i am still on a vacation...
  7. If I lived in Gaza, I'd want nothing more than to bomb Israel to non-existence. Heck ,I don't live in Gaza and I'd still want to dismantle that faschist little state (and most of the middle east). You do realize that this sentiment do not offer anything else than further despair, death, carnage and will not help the situation for anyone, do you not? Because you will have to commit ever more horrible acts for that to happen. Violence begets violence and all that. And your solution is what? For palestinans to accept Isreals "mercy"? To live in the worst areas with more rights and territory taken away each day? Just for a hope of someday things getting better? It's in Israels interest to keep palesinians territories an unstable, undeveloped place. As long as the balance of power is like it is, nothing will change. History is written by the victors. Power is power. Laws are irrelevant (as clearly seen in Israels example), as they will be ignored by the powers that be whenever it suits them. If the US dropped Israel like a hot potato, if the palestinians were equal in power...then maybe some real negotiations could be had among the saner heads. As to what and how.... I have no idea. Israelis cannot well abandon Israel after living there for 60 years. Yet the trust is that the creation of Isreal created a crapton of refugees and those people WERE wronged. You cannot get back to how it was before...but some kind of reparations have to be made. If i knew of a solution, you would see my face in the headlines with a Nobel Peace prize in my hand. No, i do not know of any solution nor do i pretend to know of one. What i do know is that it is completely unacceptable to cheer for either side to win through arms, since that would be a bloodbath and a rule of tyranny that only beasts, not men, wish to accomplish.

  9. Are you seriously suggesting that Israel has the worse democratic institutions, traditions and due process compared to its neighbours?
  10. This discussion will be redundant the very minute someone invents: 1) a car that runs on seawater more efficiently than petrol 2) plastics that are not carbon-based but as strong and cheap to produce
  11. So, i have you guys figured out a peaceful solution yet? Or are we back to the neverending torrent "He said; no she said"-arguments?
  12. The Wild Bunch (Director's Cut) Incredible movie about brotherhood and redemption. Highly recommended.
  13. That's just your third eye squeeking. Or the stress. But thinking it is the third eye is way cooler.
  14. Yeah, there's those people who feel terribly neglected and insulted by the fact that their attorney is able to take a holiday while their matter remains unsolved. Also, since practically everybody is on holiday, we're now the recipient of all the crazies wanting to sue the government/UN/EU/reptoids. So, basically this is me right now: Yikes!
  15. I am one of those ***holes that has taken a 5 week summer holiday, leaving the project that i am managing to someone that does not have the experience to handle it. But on the other hand, i see it as a test and it is his moment to shine.
  16. Change the flag to the german one and the situation wouldn't have been much different from how it was at Alexanderplatz
  17. I was in Berlin yesterday. Holy hell was i ever at the right place.
  18. I really hope for GER - anyone final....because i will be in Berlin on the 13th
  19. As an old confused man, i refuse to buy my game digitally or whatever the youngsters call it nowadays. So, will this option be available in the future?
  20. Somehow, i think that Argentina will win over Belgium 1-0, after a free kick by Messi/Di Maria/Higuain. The match itself will be boring. The Netherlands - Costa Rica might be something though.
  21. I am having trouble to understand what this thread is about anymore, so i will just throw in a quote by Orwell:
  22. as has no doubt become apparent to many, Gromnir will tenaciously argue most any issue. we saw qistina trying to peddle the All Games Belong to Kotor bit to a new group o' marks and we chose to abstain. can making sweeping generalizations and absurd comparisons to be finding similarities 'tween any Light v. Dark story. for example, episode iv of star wars had a dragon: the death star. give qistina a link to joseph campbell and call it a day. as for hot chicks in dragon age: inquisition, we ain't paid much attention. cassandra (am hoping she ain't prophetic) reminds us a bit o' maggie o'connel (jannine turner) from old northern exposure tv series. http://mixnmojo.com/galleries/full/full20110830194919.jpg we got no interest in bio romances, but am admitting that we thought maggie o'connel were quite fetching. on the other hand, giving the mage companion the same fashion sense as a disney villain strikes us as odd. http://hype.my/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/maleficent1.jpg can bio maleficent turn into a dragon too? am gonna admit that the maleficent dragon transformation were pretty darn kewl when we first saw it. HA! Good Fun! That's the thing though. None of them in DA:I look anything special. It's like they are deliberately toned down in terms of feminine features, or they were too incompetent, or simply not interested.
  23. Let's discuss hot chicks!
  24. I wonder when Bioware will write a male love interest has not one or a few, but *all* the following qualities: 1) White to the nordic, aryan ideal. 2) Heterosexual. 3) Calm, sharp and hates chit-chat about mundane things. Ignores the main character if she continues to talk about what he considers "nothing". 4) Utterly dominant in romance. He instigates it, not the main character. Has to be totally rejected immidiately if the main character has no interest. 5) Incredible warrior. Basically a Brock Samson kinda guy.
  25. I got 5 out of six correct (only one score though), so my current predictions still stand.
