  1. Yeah I voted for Han. I mean if Greedo DID shoot first, he was a terribly bad shot at point blank range...
  2. lol @ T3 Choice, KOTOR 2 in a foreign language .
  3. Yeah the question is not whether the developers would like to do a content patch but whether they could be given the time and resources to do a content patch (which is unfortunately, unlikely).
  4. Playing: Anarchy Online Counter-Strike:Source
  5. C'mon guys it's not fair to insult someone on their sense of humour. His humour may be different but then again so are people's tastes in music and art in general. I didn't find this strip particularly funny but instead I appreciated the fact that KOTOR is getting some recognition .
  6. Yep I pick the side/gender like Duffman
  7. Angry Sherpa makes a good point - Episode III could be a disappointment for Star Wars fans since we already know what's going to happen... although if they manage to have a few plot twists in it, I think that'll satisfy us .
  8. Wow, I'm quite surprised by the votes. Either there are more female gamers than male gamers when it comes to KOTOR 2 or some male gamers have a preference to play as a female character first. The characters I role-play tend to be modelled as close as possible on my actual character, which is what I reckon makes it interesting (since I usually end up with a jack-of-all-trades character/master of non, which makes the game more challenging). What we need is another poll to ask what the person's real gender is and what gender they picked in the game .
  9. Darth Tratious: But of course .
  10. All this talk about "soon" and "now" reminds me of a certain film: HELMET: What the hell am I looking at? When does this happen in the movie? SANDURZ: Now. You're looking at now, sir. Everything that happens now, is happening now. HELMET: What happened to then? SANDURZ: We passed then? HELMET: When? SANDURZ: Just now. We're at now, now. HELMET: Go back to then. SANDURZ: When? HELMET: Now. SANDURZ: Now? HELMET: Now. SANDURZ: I can't. HELMET: Why? SANDURZ: We missed it. HELMET: When? SANDURZ: Just now. HELMET: When will then be now? SANDURZ: Soon. HELMET: How soon?
  11. Well if Lucasarts accepts OE's Basilisk war droid as legit then that's final isn't it? I mean there are some things that have been changed in the Star Wars universe over the years, some are good, some are bad (an example of bad being the midi-chlorians IMHO) but they're now part of the universe, so either you accept it or you don't. If the EU believes the Basilisk war droid to look like a "Molelobster" so be it. You have pointed out a good point though that Bioware and Obsidian Entertainment had a different idea of what the Basilisk war droid was to look like. Since you never got to really see the Basilisk war droid in KOTOR 1 I'm assuming Lucasarts let it slide when Mandalore described the experience in a few sentences...
  12. That's a really well done wallpaper. Sensational . You should draw some for the other characters :D.
  13. Yeah looks like ATi users will have to wait another month until 5.4 come out. Note that the latest 5.3 release acknowledges the problems with KOTOR 2 which means it's likely they'll fix it in the next patch: http://www2.ati.com/drivers/Catalyst_53_release_notes.html And here's a list of the issues: # Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: Playing the game under Windows XP with an ATI RADEON 9800 series installed, results in display corruption being noticed when changing the in-game options from low to maximum Topic number 737-10091 # Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic: Loading the Dantooine level of the game under Windows XP results in slow game performance Topic # 737-10092 # Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: Setting the graphic option in the CATALYST
  14. Which is why what Shadow Paladin said was right. Star Wars is basically a mix of sci-fi and fantasy - I mean you could have a field day explaining how all the Jedi's Force Powers work in real life... As Bulgaroctonus mentioned, it's becoming increasingly apparent in modern physics that FTL travel is actually impossible, which means science fiction is slowly becoming not-so-scientific fiction. In we're talking about the real universe, it's more than likely that humans will be trapped on Earth (or at least in our Solar System) for a loooong time, basically because it's impossible to get anywhere in a decent time frame. Even if you could get close to the speed of light, it'd still take well over 4 years to reach the nearest star system Alpha Centauri...
  15. I never use him in my party but I like his quote "What an amusing Jedi specimen."
  16. Whoops sorry didn't read your first post properly :D: Goban Banmar
  17. lol let's not go into that again . Honestly though, there appears to be only 2 endings, although they don't differ by very much (at least not as big a difference as there was in KOTOR 1 between the 3 endings). Concerning the endings being redone - yeah they could be better, but they're passable if OE's intent was us to puzzle over it .
  18. Hey Bokishi, where did you get those HL2 pics? I just realised that Dr Kleiner actually looks like a lecturer I had at Uni lol! Oh and back on topic... It's refreshing to see people with creative names. The same thread ran on the Lucasarts forums and... well... the names weren't that great IMHO :D. Anyway, mine's not that creative, it's just my initials (MSG): Imis Ji
  19. lol! What happened to "The Return of Revan"? :D
  20. Kudos to Obsidian Entertainment for sticking their neck out and trying to keep the forums up and running. With better policing of the posts and co-operation amongst the more veteran posters on this forum, I'm sure this can be a great forum for all posters, wheter it be their first or 10,000th time they've visited :D. *Obsidian Entertainment: Light Points Gained* for giving a damn about us lowly posters .
  21. lol nice comics. The "SO CUTE!" ones with T3 reminds me of one of those Weebl & Bob flash animations where they take the piss out of anime - very funny .
  22. The original post is really good and it helps describe why even though this game is really good, there are significant plot holes in it that leave a bitter-sweet taste in your mouth after you've finished the game.
