no more forum closure :)
Of course, the only thing better than a K3 announcement, has to be an announcement that Obsidian are going to make it. That's the announcement I'm looking forward to. That, and the content patch of course. Go Obsidian!

Indeed, I too would pay for the extra content.

Is Revan in the game?
I am aware of it, at least...

Did Lucas say No to the content patch
Of course, it is abusing their trust to post something like that, yet the fact remains that Chris Avellone posted this info himself on the now-deleted KotorII patch thread. They did ask, and I actually have confidence that LucasArts will give them permission, some time in the future. Call me na

Music is degraded to *MONO* 10kHz @ 48 kbit/s?!
I have already mailed LucasArts about the content patch, hope everyone here does the same. That said, I believe getting the plot and storyline fixed is much more important than getting better-quality music.

Did Lucas say No to the content patch
Why on earth would we want Kotor1 re-released? It's KotorII I am interested in, it's a much better game. It pains me to think that it could be THAT much better.

Is Revan in the game?
I know, but it could be fixed by letting us choose the his/her head at some point. But it is no big deal, the game is awesome thus far.

Is Revan in the game?
Too bad... That actually pisses me off a bit.

Is Revan in the game?
That's what you call ambiguous...

Is Revan in the game?
Alright, I am on Telos for the first time, but my lack of patience is getting the better of me... Does one meet Revan in this game? No specific spoilers please, only a simple yes or no...

Did Lucas say No to the content patch
I am certain that Obsidian are the best people to handle this question, but at the same time I feel that we should show support for their case, so that LucasArts see that the people are behind this decision. This should all happen politely of course, none of that infantile b*tching and complaining. This is something we want, this is something Obsidian want, we don't achieve anything in the real world by throwing tantrums.

Influence with Bao-Dur
Thanks very much, man!

Influence with Bao-Dur
Is it impossible to gain influence with Bao-Dur by talking? Is this a case where my action have to speak for themselves?

Obsidian Encouragement

Party disappears on Telos
Hm. I feel really silly now. The party selection screen is bound to the letter "L", and isn't attached to the map screen. Apparently. This seems to be the case in the European version at least, which I am playing. The source of the confusion is the keyboard map that accompanied the game manual. It's mapped wrong! At least with my game...

Party disappears on Telos
Yeah, that's just the thing. As I said, I might be going blind, but I can't for the life of me find it where it was in Kotor1... Volov, you have first-hand expertise... Where is it?

Party disappears on Telos
*Suppressing urge to scream* But where is that button? I know this makes me look like a complete idiot, but it's 1 AM, I am headed for campus really early tomorrow, so I don't care. Help me find the button!

Party disappears on Telos
I found the manual horribly lacking in most respects... Now, it might be that I am turning blind in my old age, but I can't find it where it was it Kotor 1, nor can I find the description in the manual. I can't see a transit button either. So please, indulge me. Where is it??

Party disappears on Telos
For some reason, after using the protocol droid to steal the incriminating files from the Czerka compound on Telos, I am suddenly alone. Both Atton and Kreia are gone, and I can't see any way to bring them back. This COULD be, of course, due to the fact that I cannot find the party selection button... Where the heck is it? Is this something that is intended to happen? That you have to fight the mercenaries invading the Ithorian complex and leave the space station all by yourself? It seems odd, because in the next level, you are rejoined by Kreia and Atton. Any ideas?? This is mildy irritating...

What Nvidia drivers are you using?
Okay, in areas like the communications blister on Peragus, which is a fairly large area, the Harbinger and the likes, performance is fine. When I came to Citadel station on Telos, performance dropped. Not drastically though, it's still playable, but irritating. Plus, I am also experiencing some "clicking" sound effects when I turn my character around. I'm using the 66.93 drivers, I heard that those were a but unstable? My system is kinda old, but ran Kotor1 perfectly, and i can't really see why Kotor2 should be very different. Athlon 2400 512 mb ram Geforce 4600ti 128 mb SB audigy Any expertise? Tweaks? Roll-back of drivers?

Intelligence boosters
I started with these stats: str: 14 dex: 10 con:12 int:14 wis:14 char:14 That adds up correctly, right? Can't remember if this is exactly spot-on, but it is pretty close. As for the other points in my post, yes, it is my first attempt, and I must admit I was kinda unprepared for the emphasis placed on skills. Totally different compared to the first game... As well, you need 16 intelligence to get all the dialogue options. This is evident on the Ebon Hawk directly after leaving Peragus, where you will get the opportunity to ask T3 where he came from, if you have an intelligence of at least 16. I proved this after attempting first with my 14 int character, then using the saved game editor to upgrade his stats to 16. This is one of those "[intelligence] where did you come from?" - sort of things, of course. I'm kind of miffed about the fact that you must choose between either a good fighting Jedi or a good talker. Although I understand and appreciate the logic and reasoning behind character attributes determining dialogue trees, I think it detracts from the experience in one way or another. And no Jedi are stupid, are they??

Intelligence boosters
I really need two more points in intelligence, at 14 I can't get all the dialogue options... Just left Peragus, are there any intelligence boosters this early on in the game? Or is there any way to boost the PC's intelligence through conversations rather than leveling up?
