  1. How useful/needful is the demolition skill in items creation? I am particularly referring to the creation of lightsaber crystals, lenses etc. I am asking this, because I am wondering whether or not to spend one feat to make demolitions a class skill.
  2. That's fantastic. For some reason I feared the feats stopped coming at level 20... This means I could invest in some feats I wasn't sure if I could afford...
  3. Alright you guys... just wondering about something. I'm playing a sentinel right now, which means I should get what, 8 feats at level 15? At that point, I plan to go into the weapons master class. Does that mean I will then gain the feats of both the sentinel and the weapons master? Will I stop gaining feats when I pass level 20, or will they keep on coming? Just how does this thing function?
  4. Ok. But hypothetically, a sentinel w/ 14 str is just as strong as a guardian w/ 14 str, if feats etc correspond, right? So, if points are distributed exactly the same for two characters, where one is a guardian and the other a sentinel, these characters will be equally powerful? If the Sentinel gets more skills on top of this, it's a win-win situation for the sentinel, I guess? I'll never get to actually playing the game. It's too damn much to be mindful of in character generation.
  5. Very interesting thoughts there, Aes... Any tips for starting and levelling up as a Sentinel? Could one leave dex at 10 because of the compensation given by Jedi Robes later on in the game?
  6. Intelligence on top because of skill points?
  7. Ok... On the other side of the fence, what about this guy? str: 15 dex: 10 Con: 14 Int: 16 Wis: 10 Cha: 10 Don't know if I'm too pleased with this one, though. I didn't really pay too much attention to the implants during the original, are they tremendously important? How do they function? Are they temporary boosts to attributes or permanent boosts (as long as you "wear" them)?
  8. That doesn't sound too good... I'm more of a sword man myself. How about this: str: 14 dex: 14 con: 12 int: 14 wis: 10 cha: 14
  9. But doesn't that basically mean that my character will get his ass handed to him in the beginning of the game with dex that high and strength that low? You said yourself that 16 dex wasn't required at the beginning...
  10. Ok, thanks... In regards to leveling up and such, which attributes should I invest points in as the game progresses? And don't you think str is a bit and the low side? Other suggestions? I really want to make it right this time...
  11. Interesting points by all of you. Seems like the sentinel is my guy, then. The interesting thing is, in KOTOR1, I found a way of rocking at both fighting and force-casting at the same time, and ended up with an insane amount of both VP and FP... had more force points than Jolee at the end. Seems like this game is more complex and interesting than the original... What are your recommended Sentinel start-out configurations, then? Charisma and persuasion is still important, I guess?
  12. Ok.. I presume that that configuration enables me to pack a punch in combat as well as being adequate in non-combat situations too?
  13. That complicates things... So what are your suggestions for a guardian who wants to enjoy this game to it's full, and not just hack and slash away?? Any configurations you'd suggest?
  14. Hm.. I was under the impression that skill points weren't particularly important, that surely was the fact in KOTOR1. In that game I made a guardian/consular hybrid with massive amounts of wisdom, and relatively high strength. I kicked ass, both force-wise and melee-wise. That combination seems to be out of the question in this game, because of the fact that good conversation actually requires intelligence... (who'd have thought...) How would Awareness help me in a conversation situation?
  15. I know... What should I downgrade to upgrade this, do you suggest? Don't say intelligence, because I need the +1 modifier to gain access to higher-level conversation options... This is starting out at level 1, of course...
  16. Will 10 be enough as a starting point? Conversations are really important to me, so I want to get the most out of them... Will 10 be too little to influence other characters, if I put all skill points into persuade, do you think?
  17. Thank you very much, that's extremely helpful.
  18. Am I right when I say that in KOTOR1, the only use intelligence had was in regards to skills? Whereas it also affects dialogue options in this game? So, I started a character that I would refer to as a guardian/consular hybrid, with low intelligence (since I thought that stat only affected skills), high wisdom and high strength. Now, when it came to my attention that low intelligence affects dialogue choices as well, I found myself having to start over again, because I don't want to miss out in that aspect of the game. How high intelligence do I need to have to have access to these higher dialogue options? Will 12 do? 14? 16? Where does the limit go? I don't want to push it too far, because I really don't care about the skills in this regard, only dialogue-related bonuses.
  19. Yeah... The problem area was the dormitory, the area you arrive at shortly after your little spacewalk and the arrival of the Harbinger. The welder thing didn't work on the door, only explosives could do the trick, apparently.
  20. I think I have isolated the problem, so to speak. When I leveled up, and placed one point in DEMOLITIONS, the action menu reappeared, and would allow me to place the mines I've found. However, my skill wasn't high enough! :D Anyways, thanks for all the help guys, appreciate it immensely!
  21. Now I see... but you misunderstand, I am playing as the main character, and I'm located in the dorms... Where the miners where gassed to death... That's the door I'm talking about...
  22. Well, your joke makes sense now, at least... Given that LA is LucasArts. But still... I can't find any of those damn mines. Can't get the f*cking cheats to work either, so I can summon one. (only in the interest of checking if the action menu should decide to return then, of course...)
  23. Now you've lost me completely...
  24. Um... Obs console? Locked door? Exactly where are you now...?
  25. Thank god. Would that indicate that my game isn't broken anyway...?
