  2. Yes but we abandoned nukes before 1994 because we didnt need them as Apartheid and the Cold War was over That had nothing to do with NATO, it was an internal decision and we signed and agreed to the Non-Proliferation Treaty 1991 https://thebulletin.org/2021/11/fw-de-klerk-who-ended-south-african-apartheid-leaves-another-legacy-nuclear-disarmament/ https://www.icanw.org/south_africa "Former nuclear-weapon programme South Africa formerly possessed an arsenal of six nuclear weapons. It dismantled them prior to acceding to the Non-Proliferation Treaty in 1991, recognising that its security was best achieved through disarmament. In 1994, the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed that South Africa had dismantled one partially completed nuclear weapon and six completed weapons."
  3. South Africa dropped nuclear weapons program in the 90’s but still worked closely with Israel on the development (and allegedly supplying Israel with the uranium for their nukes)
  4. Today
  5. Yeah, no less than three companies sharing the 90%? That sounds like an actual market economy. Australia has been a duopoly for the powers that be knows how many years. The Coles/Woolworth cartel dictating prises (but customer and supplier prices)
  6. After it was revealed that we are getting a community gardens area having carnivorous plants there would be really cool like venus flytraps having to maybe walk accros them and into their mouths trying not to trigger them or maybe getting a planting system and growing them yourself to defend your base for later raids having pitcher plants would also be cool you could carefully climb inside them and get dead bug parts or getting their scent to attract bugs or getting their acid in a cantina and making arrows from it or acid rounds for the turrets maybe it would be good for the axl weak spot and drosera plants that are sticky and catch bugs would be cool also being to attract their stickyness for arrows or rounds or maybe having to lure a boss in the gardens to them or bugs to get materials thanks for reading
  7. Avowed was running great on my PC. Couldn't believe this was an Unreal Engine game since most other Unreal games run surprisingly bad for one reason or another.
  8. Im about 10 hours into Life in the Ruins mod collection for Fallout 4 and Im really enjoying it It creates a survival reality for FO4 but its balanced and so far not frustrating Lots of thinking went into what mods would make the game harder, lore friendly but still enjoyable The immediate changes I noticed was no Fast Travel, initially I was a little unhappy but now I appreciate it. You become lazy when you can fast travel between towns and I enjoy exploring and travelling Then ammunition is very scare and this means you need to scavenge everywhere, this is a great feature and reminds me of the constant resource shortages in games like STALKER It makes you become more strategic in combat and just increases the overall fun and reward with needing to explore. And Vendors so far have limited stocks of ammo But excellent mod collection so far, its makes FO4 much more hardcore and a fun survival game in this massive post-apocalyptic world I have also added a few new mods outside the Mod Collection like additional radio stations and its easy to see any issues with MO2 but so far so good
  9. About 30 minutes ago there was a glitch on my screen while using my omni-axe. After using the axe it stayed my main tool and then my Spicy Coaltana was gone. I went to revert back to a prior save but all my saves from the last 5 hours are gone. That's a lot of progress to lose. I'm not sure what to do now. My omni-axe stayed my main weapon and kept swinging until I ran out of stamina. I switched my weapon to my mantis blade and tried to use the omni-axe again and the same thing happened. Now I have no mantis blade. That's easy to remake but my Spicy Coaltana is a huge bummer. Does anyone know about this? I'm playing on xbox series S.
  10. This has happened to me just now. I went to revert back to a prior save but all my saves from the last 5 hours are gone. That's a lot of progress to lose. I'm not sure what to do now. I was kicked at 4 and then I got right back on and the rest of the saves are gone. There was a glitch with my omni-ax, where it stayed my main tool and then my SC was gone. It just happened again with my mantis blade.
  11. I’ve had that bug randomly appear. Most of the time exiting the game and coming back in fixed it. I did have that glitch remain stubborn one time despite reloading multiple times so I just started building a few sections over and suddenly I could delete the blueprints that have been acting like they were supports. The game definitely gets confused once in a while about which pieces are supporting what.
  12. Hello, I would love some new bugs! and a new area, so here are some of my thoughts. 1. Broodmothers for every area (except the ice cream cart), And they could be Spiny Orb Weavers or Golden silk Orb Weavers. They could drop Spiny Weaver chunks, Weaver spine, Spiny weaver venom, Spiny weaver fangs, and a trinket called shimmering spine which each one will do a different thing. The Golden silk orb weavers could drop Golden weaver chunks, Golden weaver fangs, Golden weaver venom, and a trinket called golden weaver head, which will do different things for every one. 2. Stag Beetles - Angry bugs that could be found at the pine trees, the statue, the flower pot, and the fountain. 3. A Trap Door Spider - Named Trent, A boss found under the flower pot. 4. Centipedes - Neutral bugs found anywhere. 5. Earth Worms - Harmless bugs that will need a tier two omni-shovel to dig up could be found near the fountain. 6. A Seven Spotted Ladybug - A boss named lady liberty. Could be found at the top of the tree in the entrance area with mushrooms to climb up. 7. A tier 2 boss -It could be an orc Yellow jacket, found at the left pine tree with a secret door that leads inside the pine tree to stairs that lead up to the nest of the Yellow Jacket - Named Sargent Buzzerker. 8. A new area - The fountain. Please and Thank you, I hope you like these ideas!!!
  13. It's funny that Dark Ages is seen as a demanding game. Historically, much like any Doom since the reboot, it's an imposter. I mean, it's released on a Series S! Even my 3060 would still perform hugely better than Carmack era Dooms with much more recent hardware then. And the CPU requirements are low anyway. As for Avowed, this is basically one of the minimum spec GPUs release six years ago. Looks fairly decent. Grounded 2 still seems in a rough shape. But if TOW2's anything like Avowed, I'm personally not even wondering whether I could run Outer Worlds 2, despite running entry hardware released 2021 (Ryzen 5600 / RTX 3060). It may not be a stable 60 fps without upscaling. But then I didn't play TOW with more than 45-50fpsish either on my prior Ryzen 3 / 1050 Ti setup. As said, 30/40 are absolutely still a thing on "affordable" consoles at least on dedicated quality/balanced modes -- plus (dynamic) upscaling. On PC, your pocket's the limit, and Nvidia are pushing the demands for 1,000fps already. Frame Generation or not, that is a THOUSAND frames rendered in every single second. And each of those frames is still getting more complex. Let that sink in for a, well, second. 5,000 Dollars GeForce 6090 GTI Super Mega Hyper Ultra -- when are you gonna release it, Jensen?
  14. When I try to fight the roach queen and the “masked stranger” I end up getting the sizzling effect that will continually go up and never come back down, resulting in my death
  15. Is there any chance we could have foundations block bug spawns? Or perhaps some type of buildable land claim. I am constantly having to deal with ORC weevil and butterflies spawning in my base. Probably the most annoying thing about the first game was this problem. I want to be free to build a base in any location and not have to constantly repair everything in my base after killing bugs that have spawned inside. There are some awesome base locations that are being ruined by this problem.

  17. I’ve noticed the hotpuch is more optimised for pc especially in the first game. For console it needed something like for example hold LB and press X for quick access whatever is assigned to it even if you have to do hold LB and press B+Y together to make up pouch slots for quick access. If possible revisit the first game with this tweak please
  18. The basketball physics feel completely off – instead of bouncing like a real ball, it’s basically a petanque ball. No realistic rebound, just heavy and clunky.
  19. Hello! I own Grounded 2 on steam and also subscribe to Xbox PC Gamepass. I am trying to play the game with my child by having them log in using my steam copy and I am playing with the gamepass version via the Windows Xbox app. When trying to sign in with their Microsoft account, it is giving me an endless login loop. I type in their password and it accepts it, spins, and then goes back to asking which method to login with (biometrics, password, or email code). I have tried password and email code and they both do the same thing. Please help! I bought this copy on Steam purely so that I can play with my child and it is not working at all. The first game works just fine in this manner! Thanks!
  20. Hey everyone, After quite a few hours in-game, I’ve noticed some bugs and also thought of a bunch of ideas to improve the experience. Dropping the list here to open the discussion – feel free to add, confirm or roast it . Annoying Bugs Collision issues everywhere (map, buildings, ants sneaking where they shouldn’t). Enemy generator/shader bug. Weird lighting when building a base. Environment respawning inside your base (free jungle decoration ). Pathfinding goes nuts when enemies attack. Can’t draw or use your weapon while riding your pet. Pets sometimes bug out on generation. Improvement Ideas Portable light sources: belt, helmet, headlamp (we all get lost in the dark, admit it ). Pet progression: skills, levels, affinity system. More interactions with pets (petting, sending them to fetch stuff, etc.). Richer fauna & flora to make the world feel alive. Better storage management (icons, color coding, etc.). Building system tweaks for smoother gameplay. Combat Side Fist weapons don’t take advantage of the ambidexterity mutation. A bee gatling gun (come on, tell me you wouldn’t love this). Enemy waves to defend your base, tower-defense style. That’s my quick feedback list! What do you guys think? Have you run into the same bugs? And if you could add one thing to the wishlist, what would it be?
Cordialement
  22. On my 3070 I was able to run Avowed mostly ok, but unfortunately, I do start feeling the limits of my 8GB memory. I tried Doom: Dark Ages, and oh boy. That just wasn't worth playing with that performance. Technically I was able to push to 60FPS with heavy use of DLSS, but it definitely wasn't smooth 60FPS.
  23. This literally just happened to us in our game. I've been building a mega base high up next to the hot dog cart, been building for days now and all of a sudden, after misplacing a blueprint, I went to delete the blueprint and the whole structure fell to the ground. I'm not the one hosting this world so the host reloaded the previous save and the structure was back, he ran over to try to get rid of the blueprints via the game repair option and once again the whole structure fell to the ground. After again loading a previous save we started looking at all the blueprints and they all say they are supporting 700+ things, which doesn't make sense. Even ones that are clearly above other objects and not connected to anything are saying supporting 700+. The most interesting thing is this was not happening yesterday at all. We all were working of different base builds and had to remove blueprints, and nothing was destroyed. Now all of a sudden today we have this bug. Very weird, and annoying.
  24. For me, Lil Fist and Mithridatism are stuck. Lil Fist is stuck at just 5 kills and Mithridatism is stuck at 94 kills.
  25. Goal nr. 7/2025 August 24, 14:45 – I have been lately busy at work, so I have decided, that I need some easygoing experience, so I have purchased Hero of the Kingdom on GOG and finished it over the weekend. It was exactly what I have needed. Playing with tempo of your own, no stress, just clicking with a mouse to start and finish quests and to gather materials. And as a bonus, I found out, that it was made in Slovakia . A little bit over 7 hours was needed to get all of the achievements in the game.
  26. Since termites are coming to grounded 2 since the out of bounds area has been discovered bringing back the termite king and since we are gettting huge bosses like axl a termite queen would be amazing maybe it could shoot eggs at you and you would have to hit them back or maybe you could trade with it or accidentally step on one of its eggs would start the boss battle also having more detailed termite den would be really cool like having a fungal farm in it wich you could eat or cover yourself in a scent that makes termites peacefull would be really cool or a ventillation system or maybe you could start a wars between the termites thank for reading
  27. Same issue here, hope it gets fixed soon :[ the arrow keys workaround will have to do...
