BUG: Stabbing at Shadows
kinkuma replied to kinkuma's topic in The Outer Worlds 2: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
There was a patch note in the latest patch that seemed to suggest that this had been fixed. Just reporting that for me it has not changed anything. I am at the point of no return (main quest wise) and really would like to get this done before I finish the game ... -

Do More Harm Quest - Bug

Any idea when the next patch will be released? Are there really developers reading our messages? I'm stuck and my only save is 20 hours into the game. I really don't want to start all over again. Despite everything, I love this game and would really like to finish it. -
https://www.politico.com/news/2025/11/17/thomas-massie-trump-jeffrey-epstein-00654214?nid=0000018f-3124-de07-a98f-3be4d1400000&nname=politico-toplines&nrid=81406e35-5743-4c79-8a1f-03aae6892d3d Here is a really interesting summary of how Massie was able to get the vote around releasing the Epstein files to the House You can see the efforts how Trump tried to block it and how he failed Its been a fascinating and reassuring period for me this public pressure to release the full files and how Trump eventually acquiesced Its a win for Democracy and how citizen activism can get government to change course when initially they clearly didn't want to This would never have happened in autocracies like Russia or China where the states decisions are final and citizens have no way to influence or change that decision

For me Niles makes the explosive. But once inside nothing initiates. Zeb walks in and just stands there. nothing else. just stuck loading to there or losing 5 hours of gameplay which is a put the controller down and walk away sort of thing for me right now. id rather restart if i have to do all that and at the same time i dont wannt do any of that anytime soon. so i hope there is a fix soon.

It might sting the Americans a bit, always good to see them get so when they go to war with people that can't possibly resist. Won't be an Iraq level screw up though, at least.

I just made another post for this to hopefully readdress this issue. If any Devs read this, according to Reddit, some PC users have found a work around using a console mod from Nexus to delete the door and reengage Virgil. Which tells me that if you unlock the door for us, those of us playing on console could potentially complete the encounter.

The full Epstein files will be released finally, well done to Massie and other GOP representatives for getting the vote to the House Its good that Trump is fully supporting this full release but he also had no real choice I doubt he is going to be implicated in anything but other prominent and wealthy elites will be named and of course that also wont automatically mean they were involved in underage sex but just getting your name mentioned is bad enough because of how toxic any proximity to Epstein has become Larry Summers for example has publicly apologized and stepped back from public responsibilities and he just had email exchanges with Epstein after the scandal initially broke https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cddr199d3z0o But its good news, we can review the full Epstein files and then bury the conspiracy theories and prosecute those that were involved in any sexual crimes

I am having the same issue and have tried other fixes by users on this forum with no luck what so ever -
Everything has worked for me up until the Virgil encounter at the Arbiter Training Facility. I cannot complete this companion quest!! It’s maddening. I elected to kill Virgil and did so, but upon return to the ship, there was no change to dialogue for Tristan, he just spoke normally telling me to “Speak Freely”. I’ve since continued the game hoping a patch would correct it, alas, I’m still unable to finish this quest. I’ve gone back to the training facility numerous times, and I can jump and see Virgil standing on the other side of the glass at the door to the control room. I cannot access it due to the sealed door (possible temp solution is to just unseal the door so we can go re-murder him). Glorious Devs, please address this. I implore you…

I dont dislike him on a personal level because I believe he means well. Its his progressive left political views I dont support but I do like him Here is a hilarious Sacha Cohen interview with Sanders where he was playing one of his alts, a guy called Billy Wayne Ruddick Jr who is MAGA conspiracy theorist who always believes in the " truth". Watch from 1:32

@TrinDiesel @SirDrenix Problem solved with the help of ChatGPT and UUU cvar dump. it's some type of bug in the UE5 "Runtime page-table refresh" For now i made a read-only Engine.ini in : (be sure the file attribute is read-only otherwise the game auto-deletes the ini for some reason) C:\Users\<myusername>\AppData\Local\Arkansas\Saved\Config\Windows [SystemSettings] Game.RefreshPageTables=0 r.VT.RefreshEntirePageTable=0 This solution should persist also after a savegame reload or load screen. Exactly the same here. Blank marker. I've already pulled the elevator switch. I got Auntie's Choice and The Order to work together. I never actually called for backups because I cleared everything myself. Now I'm just stuck with no way to "Hand over the Calcaduceus." I don't want to proceed any further until I can complete this so it's a major bummer.

Cinema and Movie Thread: coming 2 a theater near u

We went to watch Bugonia, but weren't quite satisfied with the story. I suppose you could call it an unusual character study. There were a couple of unexpected plot twists, but in the end I wasn't sure what message it was trying to communicate (other than maybe humans don't deserve to survive). I suppose if you liked Poor Things then you may enjoy this. But I preferred Emma Stone in Cruella. -
I own the OG edition and the Spacer's Choice edition on both Steam and MS Store. I finished the game and wanted to load my saves on other versions/platforms. I had no trouble with simply copy and paste the save files except the Spacer's Choice edition on MS Store. It seems on that end, the saves are stored differently. Despite the different naming patterns, I noticed several differences. I found that all saves are compressed with zlib, but the MS Store saves have 4 extra bits at the beginning of the files, reflecting the size before compression. I also noticed that Steam version is 1.6411.19706.0 and the MS Store version is 1.6415.19706.0. So when I started a fresh game on both platforms with the exact same setting, the first autosave created showed dozens of lines of differences after decompression, like "PlayerCompanionCommandComponent_C_2147478507" in the Steam version and "PlayerCompanionCommandComponent_C_2147422616" in the MS Store version. I also looked into the 1KB metadata.dat that contains some basic information to the save files, but there were several HASH that I did not know what they referred to. So, in general, I could not load my saves on Spacer's Choice edition on MS Store. I wonder if anyone could help me. I have attached some saves for reference. Thank you very much in advance.
