Lol, I wonder if pic 12 is the elusive rest spot.

I imagine Josh currently walking around with an axe in the office looking for the person to behead.

Perhaps Josh is the one who leaked them? If so, beheading oneself seems to be a bit difficult.

As a note, those are all work-in-progress shots that were intended for (small) use in print.  None of those are finished areas.  Even the "original" area is still having work done on it.

Yep, that looks pretty enough. Better than that, in fact. However, it reminds me: please don't forget about people having 16:10 displays, thank you very much :)

Also, a related question: are the characters going to have lighting applied to them in the end or not? I personally wouldn't mind if they didn't or of it was really simple (like 3 levels of light).

Fearabbit uses Swoon.

It's super effective!

The level of detail on the characters is great. Especially if it's still work in progress.

In general, these screenshots look very nice, wouldn't mind seeing these graphics in the final product. The only screenshot that looks weird is the one with the dwarf in the dungeon, where the sprite is very bright even though the surroundings are quite dark and he's lit from behind. But I guess that is still being worked on.

This guy standing around in the first pic...

... makes me very interested in how the motions and poses of the characters will develop. I'm very happy to have seen these images but I hope the animation of the characters is also a part of the vertical slice since I wanted quite eagerly to see something like that.

never trust a russian with a secret.

nice screens though.

I hope Obsidian knows we want to see early unpolished stuff regardless of negative nancys etc. true enthusiasts can discern qualities and see the potential. these screenshots are all fantastic in that regard.

I just wished they were presented through a KS update with proper commentary. for instance, I see the "character color #1/#2" of the IE games in action in those zoomed-in screenshots :)

Looking good, although checking some of the pictures at the original size makes it kinda obvious that the pic weren't really meant to go online (some are really pixelated and a couple are obviously WIP.. the dwarf is very brightly lit compared to the environment, and I really doubt Obsidian's artist sat there looking at that and thought "good enough!").

This is probably my favorite.

It seems that we will get some new 'exclusive' info on PE soon.
