edit: It's here! Started DLing. 16.9 GB.

Wait, 16 GB? You're right... but I wonder why the updated min specs called for 45 GB then

It unpacks data once it's downloaded it, to save bandwidth and download time.

mine is preloading

how long does in take to get rid of the encryption on may 8th?

is it instant or does it take a while?

anyone know?

unpack from 17 to 45gb:???

We'll see on release day I suppose. I'm guessing there will be another download then too and also that's when the game will actually unpack :)

No way the compression is that good, the preload is leaving a good bit out. I hope it's not enough to screw things up for the terrible internet crowd.

the 45 gb would include the three expansions probably i wouldnt worry about it,

this is the full pre-load not a partial preload

Why would the the pre-load include expansions that won’t be out for months?

If i'm not mistaken is instant(or at least that is what i think i read when i was about to download it) with the exception of the day one patch,if there is going to be one. Also sorry for any grammar errors, english is not my main language and this is my first typing in a forum,so i dont know how to use the autocorrect on it and all i can see is the error red lines under all my words lol

Yeah my first bet is that the base main game without dlc will be far less than 45 GB, even once unpacked. That number is probably meant as a guess towards the maximum it may be in the future. Not really concerned, just was curious

Does anyone know if there will be a day 1 patch? (it might be less download to wait)

We know that they haven't said anything about day 1 patch.

Can i preload if i pledged on Fig? I don't see the game in my steam library

I wonder how many people have planned "sick days" in order to fully enjoy this masterpiece game. We can't all have my luck of working from home.

Add your key from the portal, mate. Then you'll find it in your library and an option to pre-load.

Easy as pie!
