Serrano Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 I loved Asylum and City but didn't touch and sequels after that. I loved to be Batman but not just any Batman, but the one from the animated series i grew up on. That was the biggest appeal to me there. In a lot of ways Arkham Origins was actually my favorite. The Robin DLC for Arkham City was also pretty good. I wish they'd used the side characters better in Arkham Knight and not bothered with the car but ah well.
Keyrock Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 I'm playing Looking For a Sweet Black Friday/Cyber Monday Deal on a PS4 Pro. So far I'm seeing tons of great deals on PS4 Slim and XBox One S but nothing on PS4 Pro. There's plenty of time, though and I'll be damned if I don't find a sweet deal. Katphood Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 (edited) Playing Fable II on the Xbox One X. Man, what an absolutely mellow and relaxing game. Also, let me buy Xbox 360 games without the need of a credit card, Microsoft! I could only play this because it was available on Xbox Game Pass and that subscription plan does not require a credit card for some reason, a gift card will do. What the hell, seriously! LadyCrimson Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 (edited) I wanted a simple, action-rpg type game for the PS4 for when I just want to vegetate on the sofa/bed etc. I mean, even simpler than Diablo3, say, no brain required type but still quick mindless fun/somewhat addictive in short bursts. Took a while, but I found it. It's called Cat Quest. Cutesy. Main quest and side quests (simple ones), dungeons, spells/melee. Like all such, you may grind a little for levels so you can stay ahead of/clear the short dungeons without dying (if you die it resets) but it's not a huge amount of grind. It's on PC/Steam as well. http://store.steampowered.com/app/593280/Cat_Quest/ Edited November 16, 2017 by LadyCrimson 1 “Things are as they are. Katphood Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 Be sure to give Alienation and Nex Machina a try. Housemarque makes some of the best twinstick shooters around and they are pretty good when you just want to kill some time. There used to be a signature here, a really cool one...and now it's gone.

Labadal Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 Playing Gothic. Probably halfway through. I don't remember the game that well. Fighting black goblins, and almost one shotting them. The problem is when they glitch and stay airborne. The pummel me like mad. 1

Katphood Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 Dang, didn't knew that. Most games have an option for colorblind people nowadays though. Actually, it wouldn't be so bad if Crytek remastered all 3 games on current gen consoles, would be interesting to see how much they can squeeze the hardware on the 1X and Pro. IndiraLightfoot Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 (edited) I got my first menagerist goblin today playing Diablo 3, after 1,000 h played, so they're not exactly a common sight. They are normal sized but blue and yellowish. I had no idea that they existed. Apparently, they give you rare pets. There are like a dozen or so that you can get from them, I reckon I was lucky, since I got a mimic chest, which to me screams good old D&D. Oh, and like yesterday, I jumped into one of them rainbow portal goblins, and decided, what the heck, I'll jump into that My Little Pony land, and I was pleasantly surprised. They have updated the rewards inside - every pot of gold, happy cloud, all the pressies and piñatas . they contained tonnes of useful loot: forgotten souls, legendary items, oodles of gold. This must have been updated. Same with removing gems costing no gold. Nonek Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 I've recently been enjoying the first three missions of Ancestors Legacy, a Dark Age set RTS that reminds one somewhat of Company of Heroes, and a little bit of Warrior Kings. For a beta it's in extremely good condition. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zb-Pg1P7OxI Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin. Tea for the teapot!
Tale Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 Played some Battlefront 2. The campaign feels as tacked on as campaigns ever are in these dang things. The game's default difficulty says it's a well tuned difficulty or whatever, but the enemies basically just stuck their heads out of cover, fired three shots at the wall 5 feet to my left, and then died the moment I gave them a solid stare. The story's pretty dumb too. It starts with the Rebels interrogating our main character, while being dumb enough to leave all her armor and helmet in the room. I'm surprised they didn't hang her gun on the wall for her to take while breaking out. Then I find out she's actually the Commander of an entire ship, looks like a miniature Star Destroyer. Apparently some people haven't learned the lesson taught by the esteemed Jean Luc Picard. The dialogue also seems to really love dull one-liners ("You're right about one thing, the Empire's time has come..."). What little I played of the multiplayer I didn't enjoy as much as Battlefront 2015. Maybe because the officer's turret is trash and I can't wait to trade it in for something useful. But the progression system is completely random and I feel powerless about actually getting useful things. That's not to say I didn't have fun. I really like the new HvV. And what little I tried out of starfighters was cool. But the trooper combat, at the moment, isn't as good as BF2015 or Titanfall 2.
