Nonek Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 (edited) Oh damn! Edit: I wonder how that works with Mr Avellone being one of the co-owners? Anyway thank you to the gentleman for the years of great gameplay experiences, and stories that really touched me. I guess the hard part really is in the letting go. Rosveen Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Off to Bethesda ? Hah, I'd love to see Bethesda finally get a decent writer again, but what are the chances of that? It's a blow to Obsidian for sure, but I'm dying to know what he's planning to do now. It looked very much like "I'm not allowed to say yet."
mkreku Posted June 9, 2015 Author Posted June 9, 2015 I don't think he is leaving the industry. Maybe he got offered a lot of money somewhere else. Bethesda? He would be needed there, for sure. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!

Aoyagi Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 (edited) Is this for real? Edit: It is according to the tweet, eh. Well frack, everything is going to hell. All right, could someone do an "in memoriam"? What has Chris done on Pillars, FNV, AP, F2, etc? That'd be nice. Edited June 9, 2015 by Aoyagi 1
Gfted1 Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Wonder if he sold his stake in the company. Anywho, good luck and all that. "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"

Well, did RPG Codex get THIS: By Robert Purchese Published 09/06/2015 UPDATE: Chris Avellone confirmed his departure from Obsidian in an email to me. "It is true, Bertie," he wrote, "and many well wishes to the folks at Obsidian. On the future, I'm off to pursue new projects, but I can't say anything more at this time beyond life is short, and the ideas keep growing." Sakai Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 (edited) Not really surprising, considoring the rumors about his disagreements with Josh and all that. In any case, all the best wherever his path takes him. Hopefully we'll see more awesome writing from him. His companions were my favorite in PoE. Edited June 9, 2015 by Sakai 2
