Behold my bow with zero range spell attached to it, and despair!

Recommended Posts

I know I am starting to despair. WTF is the meaning of this:

Why a bow that grants Jolting Touch? In which universe does this make sense?

It seems to be a very nice bow, which causes jolting touch on crits. might make for some nice builds...

It would be nice if there was some explanation of what spell striking did in the mechanics cyclopedia or something. People on steam are saying it only works on the first critical hit of an encounter? Not really sure, honestly.

I figured it was a percentage thing, like 5% or something, but I guess not. But maybe it is. I don't really know.

Interesting. The stats are different in the strategy guide:

Cloudpiercer

Range: 15m

Interrupt: 40 (Average)

Damage: 12-17 Pierce vs. Defl ection

Shocking Lash: +25% Shock Damage

Piercing Lash: +25% Pierce Damage

Rending: 5 DR bypass

Fine: +4 Accuracy, x1.15 All Damage

Value: 1610cp

he terror of the Great Eastern Ocean, Cloudpiercer was

carried by a notorious sea raider who claimed to have been

blessed by Ondra herself. His raids were carried out at the start of

stormy weather, and gathering clouds were often feared as much

as heralds of his arrival as of the storms they promised. The force

behind his shots would carry his arrows up beyond the cloud

cover, and they were said to bring the power they met there back

down to the sea with them, striking all below with the force of a

lightning bolt.

The strategy guide isn't very good. ;P

Yeah, it says the Footpad's Hood is +3 perception. :/

Really wish it was...

I expected much more from Prima sad.png The strategy guide is full of errors to the point where I have to check in the game whatever I read in it.

To my great amazement, the strategy guide doesn't even contain a table with party NPCs' attributes.

It's not the strategy guide's fault - stuff has been changing so fast before the release of the game that it'd be impossible to keep up. There are deadlines for committing changes in time to get everything proofread, printed, shipped, etc. And stuff has continued to change after the release of the game.

Unfortunately, in the modern era of games with multiple balance patches after release, printed strategy guides are just less useful.
