Sedrefilos Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I wouldn't be surprised if PE2 takes place in the Vailian Republics, because it's not a Cultural Background you can choose in game. Or maybe the expansion. No need to wait for the sequel - let's go there after we're done with Dyrwood
Gorbag Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 ^ Or Readceras. That would be cool.My vote is for more of those interesting spells, which would not be introduced in PoE, like contingencies, time stop, polymorph, etc. Let's hope that after PoE, Obsidian would have enough knowledge of how things work to run wild. There's other stuff of course, but that's it for now. 1 Nothing gold can stay.
Killyox Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Dunno. Will know once I beat the game. Then I will know more about the world and things I would like to explore more or what I thought lacked in game or such.
valyhaxX Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 -advanced companionship (companions that steals, attacks when raged even tries to kill anytime not only in storyline) -teleportation and planar traveling for mages -guilds for some classes (mage, assassin, fighter) -advanced specialization on herbs, cloths etc..
Valsuelm Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Having not played it I cannot comment with certainty about what could be improved upon. That said. The one thing I know for certain that I want to see about the next PoE title is that it is a direct continuation of the story. A true sequel in the sense that BG2 was, where your main character and at least a significant amount of your party members are present.
Luckmann Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 (edited) I wouldn't be surprised if PE2 takes place in the Vailian Republics, because it's not a Cultural Background you can choose in game. I just assumed that the Old Vailia Culture encompassed the Vailian Republics. None of the other cultures are defined as existing nations, for example the Aedyr Culture encompasses the Aedyr Empire and it's former colonies, Dyrwood and Readceras. And so on. Personally, I think the Vailian Republics sound pretty uninteresting. I'd rather explore Readceras or see The White that Wends fleshed out. Edited February 3, 2015 by Luckmann
anameforobsidian Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 -advanced companionship (companions that steals, attacks when raged even tries to kill anytime not only in storyline) -teleportation and planar traveling for mages -guilds for some classes (mage, assassin, fighter) -advanced specialization on herbs, cloths etc.. Teleportation is definitely not happening. They've confirmed it doesn't exist in the setting (which solves a whole bunch of ridiculous plot stuff). 1
