Gfted1 Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 I let my daughter stay home from school today to play DA:I. She was trying so hard to stay awake last night for it to unlock but she fell asleep. 2 "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"

Enoch Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 The big problem with my current set up is that I can't really take a day off just for me. The youngin' being in day care in the office where I work is fantastically convenient in a lot of ways, but it means that, if I don't go into work, I've got to take care of him, or find somebody else to do so. Theoretically, I could get my in-laws to babysit, but "watch my son so that I can lounge around and play vidyagames" is a tough sell. Ah well. Only another 4 or 5 years until he's in school... 1
Labadal Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 18 days has passed since the bet with my brother. Finally noticing some wieght loss. Nothing major, but it's a step in the right direction. 1

One significant reason to not have kids. Well, also is the immense expense involved in maintaining them properly. I suppose it can pay off later as they can then provide you with support, but that is always a gamble. Why has elegance found so little following? Sarex Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Well, also is the immense expense involved in maintaining them properly. I would just sell mine every year and get the latest model. "because they filled mommy with enough mythic power to become a demi-god" - KP

Enoch Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Well, also is the immense expense involved in maintaining them properly. I would just sell mine every year and get the latest model. Maintenance costs actually work the other way-- highest when completely new, but mostly declining thereafter. Newborns are a lot of work and, honestly, are no fun at all. They sleep and eat in 3-hour cycles and their interactivity is limited to "cry" or "don't cry." At 8 months old, this guy still requires watching, sure, but he's sleeping well, smiling, laughing, babbling, playing with toys, and interacting with people.
LadyCrimson Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Tooooo many passwords in my life!! ...this morning, downloading Pillars of Eternity beta thingie. I sometimes whinge a little about the worries of an age of digital media dependance, but of course when it benefits me, I like it then. “Things are as they are. Rosbjerg Posted November 18, 2014 Author Posted November 18, 2014 So my buisness is finally off and running and I'm spending a lot (ie all) of my time expanding my network.. Today I went to the Creative Entrepreneurship Cup (big international competition and conference) trying to get a few clients onboard. It's pretty awesome doing these kinda events and spending time with innovators and entrepreneurs. There are some truely great ideas out there. Also to the Americans, your representative won the national cup! and with a neat idea too I might add.. His company is called BatteryVampire (proloning the batterylife of average AA and AAA batteries by 2x) Fortune favors the bald.

I should get 10% of your 5% cut because we both know it's a good idea. 1
Rosbjerg Posted November 18, 2014 Author Posted November 18, 2014 That's pretty much the basis of my buisness plan. Except I keep all the monies.. 1 Fortune favors the bald.
Labadal Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 That's pretty much the basis of my buisness plan. Except I keep all the monies.. Cool! When do I start? ___________ Finally set up the picture of the new TVs. Set up Apple TV upstairs and ViaPlay downstairs when I feel like connecting the PC to the TV. I am still a bit stressed out about not having both presents for anyone yet. It will probably end up like the last few years, no one buys anyone anything and we just hang out instead. I was also asked if I wanted to up my work time from 64% to 80-100%, but I declined for now. Why would I, now that Rosbjerg is going to make me rich? Why would I, now that I am doing decent profits on the stock market? I also went to the library and got the fifth book in the Dark Tower series.
LadyCrimson Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Turned on PoE. Sat in the start menu listening to the soothing music. Created a self-righteous Monk named FistBoo with no clue what stuff to pick. Entered game, looked at my inventory and thought "where's my starter weapon??" Then remembered I was a Monk. Oh yeah. Looked around the town, went into an inn, picked up a quest or two, read profiles of some backer npc's. Admired the graphics, idly wishing I could zoom in just a little more. Giggled at my party when they got stuck on stuff/each other and ran in place when trying get to their spots, to the tune of their loud footsteps taptaptapping. Left the inn to look for some suspicious chrs. Then my tummy decided it needed a BLT for lunch. Adventure will have to wait a moment. Game looks pretty, at least. 1 “Things are as they are. LadyCrimson Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 If only you were the only person in the world with the beta and those were your initial impressions. What a tease that would have been. From what I gather looking thru the forums, general consensus seems to be it's ok, but isn't the pinnacle of achievement many were hoping for, and that combat is rough. My initial issue is that I haven't played a game like this in so long I'm having mental-overload. I'm half-afraid to click on anyone for fear I'll have to make ... a decision. I'm sad, I know. “Things are as they are. No, no, it was the last sentence that was funny (but not in a bad way). Yes, the game needs some improvements but I think I will like it no matter what as long as the overall story, quests, writing and such is good. Also: Good choices and consequences, please. 2

ManifestedISO Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Home from the birthday celeb outing, the one for my buddy. Sounds innocuous, but said amigo is married to a Brazilian ... Brasileira if you keep score in Portuguese. Her mother and cousin are in town from Recife, what with the new baby, and the birthday, and Latin passion for family. Food was okay, drinks were good. Cousin is a dead ringer for Adriana Lima, so that was distracting. 3 All Stop. On Screen.

Walsingham Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 (edited) You know peanut M&Ms? I spent most of this a.m. coughing up vivid green chunks (that size) of phlegm from my lungs, mixed with blood. The process seems to have stopped. I am extremely tired.
