aluminiumtrioxid Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 (edited) In our D&D session today: it turns out that using a frail and loyal servant as a battering ram, to smash open a solid door; is not a particularly good idea. He owes his life to Sharktopus. Too bad he's already your loyal slave for life. And that Sharktopus is dead. Oner Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 In our D&D session today: it turns out that using a frail and loyal servant as a battering ram, to smash open a solid door; is not a particularly good idea. He owes his life to Sharktopus. Too bad he's already your loyal slave for life. And that Sharktopus is dead. Wait what? Don't tell me the Sharktopus is his father? aluminiumtrioxid Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Wait what? Don't tell me the Sharktopus is his father? Nah, Sharktopus is Joxnir's father. Dun dun DUNN! "Lulz is not the highest aspiration of art and mankind, no matter what the Encyclopedia Dramatica says."
Marky Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Wait what? Don't tell me the Sharktopus is his father? Nah, Sharktopus is Joxnir's father. Dun dun DUNN! I'm imagining a side-quest; where Joxnir looks for some means for ressurection, in order to reunite with his dad.
aluminiumtrioxid Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 I'm imagining a side-quest; where Joxnir looks for some means for ressurection, in order to reunite with his dad. I suppose his dad was also massacred with the rest of his tribe, so that's actually a fairly good motivation. I'm not sure there are many people in the world who can cast Resurrection, though, and by the time Vycarion gets to the level where it's attainable, I think you're gonna be in the grand finale. "Lulz is not the highest aspiration of art and mankind, no matter what the Encyclopedia Dramatica says."
aluminiumtrioxid Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 I meant his dad, the sharktopus. Sadly, Resurrection needs a more or less intact corpse, and after you guys have literally hacked the poor thing apart, the chances of it succeeding are slim indeed "Lulz is not the highest aspiration of art and mankind, no matter what the Encyclopedia Dramatica says."
aluminiumtrioxid Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 (edited) Poor Joxnir, he never knew his father. ...before mutilating him, blinding him, and cleaving him in two. Oner Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Sorry to say guys, but I won't be able to attend tomorrow. I'll be out of the city and won't return until Sunday. aluminiumtrioxid Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Well that's unfortunate. Shall we return to our regular "whenever Oner can't attend" Mage game? "Lulz is not the highest aspiration of art and mankind, no matter what the Encyclopedia Dramatica says."
PoisonWar Posted May 16, 2015 Author Posted May 16, 2015 Well, i guess it's me skipping out today as well, I don't have anything prepared, and to be honest not really feeling it.
aluminiumtrioxid Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 So, Pirate Saturday the day after tomorrow, as usual? "Lulz is not the highest aspiration of art and mankind, no matter what the Encyclopedia Dramatica says."
Oner Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Dunno, it look like he just ripped off the long strands of a carpet and glued them to his chin to look cool....Which is something Fuby would do I guess, so it's all good. 1 Giveaway list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DgyQFpOJvyNASt8A12ipyV_iwpLXg_yltGG5mffvSwo/edit?usp=sharing What is glass but tortured sand?Never forget! aluminiumtrioxid Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Time for some collaborative worldbuilding, which is to say I'm out of ideas. I want to let you have a small corner of the world as "pirate-controlled waters". It would also be kinda nice to have an (actual) Pirate King. Since these islands are supposedly something resembling a "home base" to you, I'll let you pitch in stuff you want to see when you visit these places. So shoot. P.S. I'm not opposed to a bit of silliness (we did have a Church of Metal, after all), but do keep my signature in mind. "Lulz is not the highest aspiration of art and mankind, no matter what the Encyclopedia Dramatica says."
Oner Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 The Pirate King could be Severan's ex-first mate maybe? Giveaway list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DgyQFpOJvyNASt8A12ipyV_iwpLXg_yltGG5mffvSwo/edit?usp=sharing What is glass but tortured sand?Never forget! '12.01.13.
aluminiumtrioxid Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 The Pirate King could be Severan's ex-first mate maybe? ...Not bad. Not bad at all. Keep 'em coming. (In other news, I figured out what's the deal with Walrus Skull Island.) "Lulz is not the highest aspiration of art and mankind, no matter what the Encyclopedia Dramatica says."
PoisonWar Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 How about an archipelago where all the pirate factions and their "political" agendas are resolved through gambling, bounty or blood? Neutral ground, honor amongst thieves. Shanty towns built around ancient ruins, campfires, stories and legends.
aluminiumtrioxid Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Sounds great! Now I have this idea of the entire legal system revolving around gambling... Also, a pirate democracy electing their king. Who is hopefully not 14 years old. "Lulz is not the highest aspiration of art and mankind, no matter what the Encyclopedia Dramatica says."
Marky Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 ...entire legal system revolving around gambling... That sounds amazing.
