LadyCrimson
Oh god, how can you watch this. I've seen it in free tv and it was worse than the movies of the year 2000s catastrophy movie time. Not even trying to concentrate on only Misha Collins could save it for me. It's still better than Glen or Glenda, and I sat through that one too. From other work of his, so far my conclusion is that he's awesome as Castiel but a bit limited outside of that. He should do some comedy. “Things are as they are. sorophx
I thought the one with Kevin Costner was decently entertaining yeah, it's one of the better movies with her. The Ward was ok-ish, and I kind of liked the Exterminators (that was how I discovered Amber Heard, actually). Walsingham said: I was struggling to understand ths until I noticed you are from Finland. Oerwinde
Watched Guardians of the Galaxy. Fun movie. Would watch a follow up movie. Also watched the latest RoboCop. Was ok. It's my first RoboCop movie, to be honest. Never watched the originals, because it always sounded way too cheesy for my taste. Watch the first one. Its a classic. The other two can be avoided and you're not missing anything. They made a 4 episode miniseries a while back that wasn't too bad either. Cheesy because it was for TV, but the story didn't suck. sorophx
I LOVED Robocop 2, one of my favorite movies of that period. I remember it being darker than the original Robocop, I also liked the antagonist(s) more Walsingham said: I was struggling to understand ths until I noticed you are from Finland. Amentep
^Surprising you didn't like Robocop 3 then (unless you've never seen it) since Frank Miller legendarily claims to have turned in the same script for both movies (because they changed so much first time around). I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Oerwinde
Miller did a Robocop comic series based on his script, Robocop 3 is closer to it than 2, but you can see a lot of 2 in it. PK htiw klaw eriF
Speaking of Miller, is Sin City 3 going to be a thing or did the sequel fail too badly? Amentep
Speaking of Miller, is Sin City 3 going to be a thing or did the sequel fail too badly? It hasn't made back half of what it cost to make counting worldwide sales. I think it'd be hard to justify a sequel unless it was really paired down (even beyond the cost of the first film, which still cost more in 2005 than the new film has made world-wide). LadyCrimson
I loved the original Robocop, mostly because of Peter Weller. It was only recently that I discovered that my husband really dislikes that one. I did not like the remake/reboot at all. "Edge of Tomorrow. I did like the first half. Then for me it proceeded to drag, lose all charm, and the very ending was just "wtf?" I've seen enough "groundhog day" like plots (seems like every major TV show has to do at least one) to conclude that such works a lot better as a series episode than a movie. “Things are as they are. Oerwinde
Possible Fantastic Fail synopsis floating around. Reed and Ben are convenience store clerks in community college. Sue hates science. Doom is an Occupy hacktivist who hates frankin storm because he's a rich scientist. I'm not even mad anymore. Its gone full circle and now its just funny. Oerwinde
I didn't mind the Tim Story ones. They screwed up Galactus pretty badly, and Doom wasn't a monarch, but they nailed most of the rest. LadyCrimson
Just watched "Into the Storm." Haha. It's like a syfy movie with a bigger budget and slightly better scripting. The tornado effects weren't bad. Seeing the actor from the Hobbit films being not a dwarf was weird. And the drunk idiot guys were the best thing in the movie. “Things are as they are. kgambit
Just watched "Into the Storm." ....... And the drunk idiot guys were the best thing in the movie. LOL True. It's a combination of the worst parts of "Jackass" and "Sharknado". Jersey Boys directed by Clint Eastwood is pretty good unless you absolutely hate Frankie Valli and/or the Four Seasons. sorophx
I seem to be one of the few, that didn't really like Interstellar. Red Letter Media's review reflects my thoughts very precisely (though, they did like it and do recommend it). in my eyes Interstellar is too much of an homage, so much that the movie itself gets lost in dozens of throwbacks to other, better, sci-fi movies (2001 being the obvious elephant in the room, but also Contact, Event Horizon etc.) I'll give it a second look when the inevitable Director's Cut version comes out, but for now I can't say I enjoyed it Walsingham said: I was struggling to understand ths until I noticed you are from Finland. Woldan
Saw Nightcrawler, one of the best films of the recent years, I enjoyed Gillenhalls acting immensely. I also saw Interstellar and it almost managed to make me leave the theater only on hour into the film. Horrible movie, almost as bad as Prometheus. I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.
Hiro Protagonist
Predestination. Another great movie I just watched. Seem to be on a roll with watching great movies of late. I'd give it at least an 8/10.
obyknven
Just watched The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug in near past. Pro's + elves are crack-brained maniacal murders and perfect looked supremacists. They too remind me Russian society, like them. + Orcs looks better than before. Contra - Lovestory of elf-girl and dwarf looks unbelievable and silly. Clumsy propaganda of multiculturalism and tolerance detected. I don't like propaganda. - Lake-town covered by ice suddenly. Town ruled by tyrant, KGB everywhere, pseudo "Mongolian" appearance of guards, life is bad and everything covered by sheet. Silly attempt of adding anti-Russian propaganda into movie. Even more - non successful attempt of adding of anti-Russian propaganda into movie, because Russians associate themselves with the Mad Elf's (or Orcs, it's depends from appearance). - Black persons in Lake-town, who by books must live in far South. Yet another silly propaganda of multiculturalism and tolerance. - Smaug is Wyvern. - Fight of Dwarfs against Smaug looks stupid, non-logical and ruin all plot. Smaug looks like stupid imbecile because of this. Added only for make movie longer and show more special effects. - All about Dol Guldur looks stupid and ruin plot also. - Race or werebear's, slavery past of Beorn etc. Silly propaganda which ruin plot again.
