Zoraptor
GOG lists both the 2004 and 2014 versions as being supported on win7. They're not always perfect at that of course, but at least they do have a money back guarantee. Your disk is probably infested with evil, evil DRM and that is why it won't work. They also have bundles on sale at the moment, though since they're persistent until the last day of the sale people may as well just check on that last day (Saturday/ Sunday). Zoraptor
All the bundle deals are up now, along with some indies over the weekend and Div:OS for 40% off as well. Pretty good options there (Lucasarts, Paradox, M&B, Gothic, Divinity, Men of War, D&D especially), though I expect most will have already played/ already own most of them. Zoraptor
They also have the release of Rebel Assault 1&2- not great games- and the two Jedi Academy games which are pretty good, plus 2 bundles of their entire SW content. Humanoid
Still missing key titles like MI3 and Full Throttle on any digital platform, while "lesser" lights like The Dig have been available on Steam for years. No rhyme or reason to it, but at least it's not something we can blame Disney for. An optimist might suggest the titles being held back are perhaps because of planned remasters, such being the case for Grim Fandango and the upcoming DoTT, but it's still hard to fathom and not a peep has been heard about them. Upcoming Star Wars movies and the belief that the SW titles will sell better is the most likely reason, I'd think. The new titles on GOG seem to be above and beyond their initial agreement with Disney so it seems likely that more titles will be coming, and there aren't that many SW titles left now. Zoraptor
If you got it a few days ago it was technically an invite for the 'alpha' rather than the beta as a big batch of unsolicited alpha keys went out then. I believe the beta uses the same system as is used for their game giveaways to stop the servers crashing ie you sign up and when it's not busy they send out a key/ register the title to you rather than doing them all at the same time. Also, Fantasy General and Pacific General have been released. Most significantly, they're published by GOG themselves rather than via a 3rd party as they have previously done. ShadySands
I'd hope that Galaxy can break up some of Steam's monopoly but I guess publishers would have to stop making most games Steam exclusives. But considering that Galaxy is supposed to still be DRM free I'm not sure that will be the case.
