That's Europe as in the physical continent, not the European Union. Even though, money aside, UK is part of it nonetheless.

Not feeling European is totally fine. So do a lot of swiss people, actually (we're not even in the union). But, outright denying that England belongs to Europe is just geographically wrong.

Okinawa is an island, but it is considered a part of Japan. And Japan is a bunch of islands, but it is considered a part of Asia. What's the big deal, UK?

I'm from Ashkelon, Israel. Israel administratively considered to be part of Asia, but geographically it is part of Africa, while socially it is rather European state. I guess i vote for Antarctica.

If I undestand correctly in classic seven continents division Israel is in Asia

So let's conclude that topic demands further study with adequate scaled maps and competent specialist.
