Tigranes Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Project Eternity now has a community-maintained wiki, courtesy of Ausir; over time, it should grow into a useful source of information to consult and for fans to contribute to. http://eternitywiki.com 38 Let's Play: Icewind Dale Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Icewind Dale II Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Divinity II (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG1 (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG2 (In Progress)
Chunkyman Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Good. Hopefully it's kept up to date. 1
Director Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Sweet! - now to fill in a detailed page on the Steam Train network and several other features I want to introduce!
Ausir Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Any help with the wiki will be greatly appreciated! 1 Pillars of Eternity Wiki * The Vault - Fallout Wiki * Wasteland 2 Wiki
Ausir Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 I've started a Project Eternity FAQ on the wiki: http://eternitywiki.com/Project_Eternity_FAQ For now it's a copy of the Kickstarter FAQ, but I'd like it to grow into a comprehensive FAQ about the game. 3 Pillars of Eternity Wiki * The Vault - Fallout Wiki * Wasteland 2 Wiki
Reddie Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Somebody fix font colors in the left sidebar, it's completely unusable now.
Damkyan Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 It's nice to see all the initiatives that gravitate around the game! "What can change the nature of a man?"
Ausir Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Somebody fix font colors in the left sidebar, it's completely unusable now. The skin is being worked on at the moment, should be finished later today. Pillars of Eternity Wiki * The Vault - Fallout Wiki * Wasteland 2 Wiki
Entropious Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Seems to be a little too early for creating a wiki, since literally next to nothing is known about the game itself.
Ausir Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Well, it's better to start it early on, and to collect all the various tidbits from interviews, updates etc. in one place. Also, the skin should now be fixed. 1 Pillars of Eternity Wiki * The Vault - Fallout Wiki * Wasteland 2 Wiki
Jaesun Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Looks great Ausir! :salute: Some of my Youtube Classic Roland MT-32 Video Game Music videos | My Music | My Photography
Entropious Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 As I recal, a "Wiki" is not created in order to gather tidbits, speculation, analysis and prognosis, but what is an actual, observable part of the COMPLETE game. Please, let us not devolve into creating another circle jerk.
Tigranes Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 And that's exactly what the previous wikis supervised by Ausir have turned into: a comprehensive, useful manual of knowledge. E.g. the Fallout wiki. I'd prefer to applaud those who contribute to the community than fart in their general direction, but that's just me. 6 Let's Play: Icewind Dale Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Icewind Dale II Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Divinity II (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG1 (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG2 (In Progress)

Please, let us not devolve into creating another circle jerk. It can be both. My wikis always try to gather all info about both existing and upcoming games. O.DOGG Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Wow, the Fallout wiki was your doing, Ausir? I've used it so much during my New Vegas playthroughs. Absolutely excellent work! Thank you. I'll see if I can help with the Eternity wiki in the near future. Peace... piece... of mind
Ausir Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 (edited) Yes, I founded The Vault, initially at Duck and Cover, then at Wikia, and now moved to http://falloutwiki.com - Wikia has kept its copy of the contents (renamed now to Nukapedia) but most of the active admins have moved with me. Syraxis Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Ausir is a gentleman and scholar, his wikis are the best. 2
Karranthain Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 (edited) Have the playable classes been confirmed or is that just conjecture? Thanks for creating the wiki, Ausir! Edited September 21, 2012 by Karranthain
Ausir Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 (edited) Well, wizards have been mentioned in the technology update, and use of magic has been confirmed, so it's safe to assume they're a playable class. And there's a concept art of a dwarf ranger, which makes both dwarves and rangers pretty much confirmed as well. It's conjecture, but I think it's a pretty safe assumption. Yeah, I guess you have to start somewhere

I was shocked when Wikia banned you last year. Anyway, glad to see you on Project Eternity and Wasteland 2 wikis Ausir . Careful what you wish ... ... you just might get it
Ausir Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 I'll be trying to make wikis for other successful Kickstarter projects as well. Wikia tends to focus on AAA titles and has largely overlooked Kickstarter. 1 Pillars of Eternity Wiki * The Vault - Fallout Wiki * Wasteland 2 Wiki

Ravn7 Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 (edited) Would you make the font brighter? It's bad for eyes. Also, there are people who don't like LCDs - and still use CRT monitors ) Edited September 22, 2012 by Soul33
