C2B Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 (edited) Noooooo Will be missed. Edited October 19, 2011 by C2B
Flouride Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Noooooooooooo Hate the living, love the dead.
WorstUsernameEver Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Speaking of people leaving/joining, they used to have 14 open positions, now they have only 10, while LinkedIn still lists them as having 123 employees. It may be that the latter simply isn't tracking all of them, of course.

It may be that the latter simply isn't tracking all of them, of course. I guess it depends how fast people update their LinkedIn profiles. I think it was about 109 employees after the last layoffs. So it has definately gone up. But yeah few jobs have disappeared from there. From what I can remember at least the Senior Producer job has been taken off / filled. Hate the living, love the dead.
Starwars Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Always sad to see what seems like an influential designer go, but best of luck to Travis Stout in the future! Listen to my home-made recordings (some original songs, some not): http://www.youtube.c...low=grid&view=0
WorstUsernameEver Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Of course I'm sad to see Stout go, by the way, I hope Obsidian is nurturing those new good/talented writers because they can't rely on the Avellones and Ziets forever.
Wombat Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 (edited) Mixed feeling here. His style may not be my cup of tea but it was well-established and, yea, hilarious, I admit. Anyway, good luck on his future. Edited October 20, 2011 by Wombat
George Ziets Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Travis is a great (and very funny) writer. We will miss him.
Tel Prydain Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Good luck, Travis. I enjoyed Lily and Raul. Failing Fallout: The tale of an average Joe making his way in the Mojave: Failing Fallout New Vegas The tale of an average Joe forced out into the Capital Wasteland: Failing Fallout 3
Morgoth Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 I didn't even know who this guy was. Not trying to be insensitive or what, but refresh my memory again on what he worked? Rain makes everything better.
ShadowScythe Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 He wrote Steven Heck and did a fair bit of work on OWB iirc.
Morgoth Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 And there I always thought MCA wrote everything in AP... Steven Heck was overrated anyway. Rain makes everything better.
Walsingham Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Raul is my favourite character in New Vegas. Others are more functionally useful, but none have Raul's backstory and comments. "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp.
SirPetrakus Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 There is no sad face sad enough for this. Raul was the funniest companion in NV, along with Lily and Heck was an awesome guy overal, one of the highlights of my day when playing AP. I'll look forward to his future work then and hopefully he'll have a more prominent role in writing from here on.
funcroc Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 Technical artist Jean-Eric Khalife leaving Obsidian for Fourth Wall Studios
WorstUsernameEver Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 He was one of the few that talked on the forums.
Lexx Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 That's probably why he has to go now. :> "only when you no-life you can exist forever, because what does not live cannot die."
C2B Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Technical artist Jean-Eric Khalife leaving Obsidian for Fourth Wall Studios Scrap that. Sadface doesn't even cut it. Best of luck to both of them and will follow your new projects.
JxE Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 (edited) I don't even get my own thread I'll still be around guys, I've really enjoyed this community and I want you to know even though the devs don't say much, we are reading what you're saying. Gorth Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Bye guys... “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
