Malcador Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Seems like mocking to me, but I must be paranoid about these kinds of things. Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra
Tale Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Let's all assume middle of the road between mocking and honor. Pity. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
funcroc Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 The Story Behind (EA's cancelled project) LMNO
Morgoth Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 The Story Behind (EA's cancelled project) LMNO First person, Arkane helped with it, and it had a semi-hot Alien chick in it. **** you EA for canceling it! Rain makes everything better.
WorstUsernameEver Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Semi-hot? ...you have weird tastes Morgoth.
HoonDing Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 That's not an alien, it's the Corpse Bride with a bit more meat on her bones. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
Morgoth Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 (edited) I agree with Randy Smith though that many games are too artificially long these days. Never finished Mafia 2 for instance because it was such a drag (seriously, driving 10 min long to a destination and then distributing cigarettes? WTF?) Trim the fat of these 12 hour campaigns down to maybe 5 hours and make every single minute exciting and memorable. RPGs might be an exception due to their structure and storytelling, but as for action games, they indeed wear out too fast. Edited November 3, 2010 by Morgoth Rain makes everything better.
WorstUsernameEver Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 (edited) Urgh can't edit it. It's just the first hour anyway. EDIT: Arcania add-ons in 2011 Edited November 4, 2010 by WorstUsernameEver
Hurlshort Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Two Worlds II first two hours Looks good. Is the US release date still totally unknown?
mkreku Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I don't dare to watch that! Is it full of spoilers? Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
Labadal Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 It shows the first hour of the game. I have Two Worlds II pre-ordered and didn't feel there were any significant spoilers. On the other hand, I kept fast forwarding whenever he was not fighting stuff.
WorstUsernameEver Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 On that matter RPGItalia has an enthusiastic 'impression piece' based on the closed beta of the game. They even award it a score of 9.1 even though I'm not sure why since it's not a review.
sorophx Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I don't dare to watch that! Is it full of spoilers? it just looks really bad... not what you expect from games in 2010. the animation is weird. not sure if that's a spoiler, but you can ride a horse and it's the worst horse animation I've seen in years. Walsingham said: I was struggling to understand ths until I noticed you are from Finland. And having been educated solely by mkreku in this respect I am convinced that Finland essentially IS the wh40k universe.

Uh, I disagree completely. It is fantastic looking and the animations were solid. Leaps and bounds above the original. It looks fairly similar to Risen, which I thought was a great looking game, with a few good improvements.
HoonDing Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 (edited) It'll certainly be the best looking RPG out this year. Not even the remastered edition of Divinity 2 looks this good. Edited November 4, 2010 by virumor The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
sorophx Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 the video doesn't do it justice then? it certainly doesn't look any good to me Walsingham said: I was struggling to understand ths until I noticed you are from Finland. WorstUsernameEver Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I've posted the wrong link earlier. This is the correct one, since I doubt you guys speak my language.
Morgoth Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 LMNO visual target video This looks really good. Alas, EA cannot into "good". Rain makes everything better.
Labadal Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 the video doesn't do it justice then? it certainly doesn't look any good to me That is the Xbox360 version. The PC version looks a lot better. I on the other hand will play it on PS3.

Tale Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 (edited) Dragon Knight saga, the master edition of Divinity 2: Ego Draconis, is out on Steam as of today I'll have to check that out. Just found myself wondering why DKS was $10 cheaper than ED, but then I noticed they have different publishers. Edit: Wait a second, Ghost of Sparta is out? It's not March!
