GameTrailers

Dunno why this isn't done yet.

My thoughts: Too short, slow-mo montage looks sucky, VFX on special moves are sick.

I refuse to read a news thread not started by funcroc!!

Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!

It's the first one, so I don't really expect long length.

The slow-mo wasn't the best, I agree. But it wasn't that bad. Had nice "what's up ahead?" atmosphere.

The FX & combat moves were awesome!

Still gaming with my 9900k/2080ti/32 ram. One day I suppose a game may inspire me to finally upgrade. Maybe.

Could use a bit more anti-aliasing.

It's just fine, graphics side. Not a fan of slow mo but that's not a real complaint.

So I guess, from what I've seen so far, it's pretty great...

I just have a strong dislike for jaggy edges.

You're supposed to turn the graphics up when making a gameplay trailer...

The only place I noticed any jaggy was some of the close up/scenic views & to me that looked more like compressed video effect...but not sure.

Funny how eyes work. I notice colors and contrast like a bloodhound, but jaggies have to be pretty bad (usually on narrow lines like telephone wires) before I pay any attention.

The slow-mo looked pretty bad. The rest looked good though, especially the outdoors shot and the characters faces.

Gameplay looks great and there sure are a lot of effects

Hate the living, love the dead.

The slow-mo looked pretty bad.

Yeah, but you know. Slow-mo is all the rage this days.

It just has to be done, for everything.

But why if it looks so bad? I mean, it's even more jarring since the proper combat gameplay is so fluid!

No one knows.

I can picture the devs crying in a corner after this barrage of criticism. Rest assured, the gameplay looks pretty good.

EDIT : Lukas probably needs more beard though.

I would like to think that they are their own harshest critics, but that theory has sprung a few large holes lately...

That's speculation at best!

DS3 rules.

Truer words have never been spoken.

I'll be your loyal fanboy on this one Obsidian!

The slow mo thing isn't even valid criticism, I mean... it's just a trailer. So I wouldn't call this a "barrage of criticism". No criticism of the game itself so far.

I call this a success.

Wait, wait, wait fanboyism start:

GAF Forums are terrible.

Oh.... That wasn't fanboyism. :p

(Jokes, aside the slow-motion parts were terrible. But probably an necessary evil to get the "coolz" factor. Like Commercials in the 90's)

I don't mind slow-mo stuff per say, it's just that it looked more like severe FPS drops rather than a smooth slow-mo effect. I actually thought my computer was having troubles loading the video properly.

Hard to say anything otherwise. Can't really get a sense of much of anything other than that the moves and fx stuff looks smooth and nice in motion.

Listen to my home-made recordings (some original songs, some not): http://www.youtube.c...low=grid&view=0

It didn't look very fast & dynamic, seemed a bit clunky or maybe things were slowed down delibaretely for the trailer?

Divinity 2 & Sacred 2's combat is frantic & fastpaced; not to mention in Div 2 it's possible to do jump flips, etc. which is also necessary to avoid enemy punishment. If DS3's combat is going to be so markedly different from previous games, one might as well go this route.

The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
