Starwars Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Amazing interviewer. Really. Listen to my home-made recordings (some original songs, some not): http://www.youtube.c...low=grid&view=0
WorstUsernameEver Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Amazing interviewer. Really. The look on Larry Liberty's face when he asks about DLC and mentions Mothership Zeta is priceless.
vault_overseer Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I"m really not sure who's worse, interviewer or the camera man.
WorstUsernameEver Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I"m really not sure who's worse, interviewer or the camera man. Camera men inadvertently got us our first glimpse of what I guess was a fire gecko, so he (she?)'s better than the interviewer.
Flouride Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I wonder if that guy actually gets paid to do that. Hate the living, love the dead.

WorstUsernameEver Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 (edited) Camera men inadvertently got us our first glimpse of what I guess was a fire gecko, so he (she?)'s better than the interviewer. I must be blind. Fire Gecko? Where? It's really really blurry, but on the left screen behind Larry Liberty, I saw something black, vaguely resembling a lizard, rolling down on the ground in slow motion. I'm guessing it was a fire gecko. EDIT : Around 1:44 Edited July 26, 2010 by WorstUsernameEver

So the interviewer thinks that space is the destination the series is headed towards? And is that a starfish tattooed on his hand? But for all of us, there will come a point where it does matter, and it's gonna be like having a miniature suit-head shoving sticks up your butt all the time. - Tigranes
Slowtrain Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 So the interviewer thinks that space is the destination the series is headed towards? Wouldnt' really surprise me. The franchise has been heading in the ludicrous direction, content-wise, for a while. FO4: Moonbase Alpha. Can't wait. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that.

FO1: Stop the Hulk Army FO2: Stop Oil Rig President FO3: Stop Computer President Moon sounds good. IIRC you were supposed to be able to see some sort of moon settlement when you arrived at BOMB in VB. It's certainly the sort of thing that people in the 50's thought would definitely happen in the future. Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!

sorophx Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 check out the 4th track on Fugazi's "Repeater", you'll get your answer Walsingham said: I was struggling to understand ths until I noticed you are from Finland. WorstUsernameEver Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 They're certainly showing a lot of confidence in the game by letting it be playable in so many conventions. A good sign?
Slowtrain Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 They're certainly showing a lot of confidence in the game by letting it be playable in so many conventions.A good sign? Why not? Everything about the game looks good, and its still pretty similar to an already known and successful game. The new stuff has been met reasonably favorably, and most of the cirticism is graphics related, which is what the same people said about FO3 2 years ago. SO nothing new there. This is pretty much a slamdunk for Obsidian. WHich is great. About time they were involved in a game that really blew the doors off in terms of sales. Also about time for Josh as well. Lots of hard work finally pays off. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. The press has generally been less excited about New Vegas than Fallout 3 (understandable, no novelty factor) but who knows how less excited they are? I've seen people that are seriously convinced that anything less than 90 on metacritic for this game will mean that the game is a dud, and after Alpha Protocol reviewers and gamers alike are really wary about anything that comes out from Obsidian (I've seen like a hundred posts on the Bethsoft boards that were defending the game.. not because Obsidian was doing great in their opinion, but because Bethesda was helping them so it couldn't be bad.. really..), so... yeah. Christ, I surely sounded like a doomsayer, but hey, maybe between two extremes it'll help keep things in perspective. EDIT : I can't wait for you to get a look at Menze's new perk icons. They're awesome. Edited July 27, 2010 by WorstUsernameEver
sorophx Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I'll wait for the reviews before singing praises for Obsidian's success though. I'd wait for actual figures on sales. this isn't a movie, where you can just read a Roger Ebert review and be done with it Walsingham said: I was struggling to understand ths until I noticed you are from Finland. I'd wait for actual figures on sales. this isn't a movie, where you can just read a Roger Ebert review and be done with it Sorry I should have been more clear, I'll wait for reviews because they're usually a very good indicator of how sales will go, and because quite frankly, a lot of other gamers will do and will decide whether to buy the game or not based on that. I like what we know so far about New Vegas, and assuming it's not unplayable on release, I'll get the collector's edition. Clearer now?

Pre-order numbers so far have been quite good if those reported by vgchartz.com are accurate. Can't compete with those of Halo:Reach, but then again pretty much no game can.
