Besides, I don't really have time for co-op games unfortunately, so that isn't a selling point :banghead:

But you do have time for single player games? How does that work?

It's a matter of timing. It happens that I have an hour or two to spend on a game (on rare occasions an entire night), but I can rarely ever plan for it.

I'm actually kinda looking forward to Reach, whilst firmly expecting to be underwhelmed.

In 7th grade, I teach the students how Chuck Norris took down the Roman Empire, so it is good that you are starting early on this curriculum.

Am looking forward to Victoria II and Europa Universalis III: Divine Wind :p

Vic 2 is out already. A good game, but I'm waiting for the 1.2 patch to have a better balance.

I'm looking forward to the next bigname RPG that's party based, tactical, and not sacrificing player choice and agency for the sake of cinematic.

What's the name of that game, again? I forgot.

Fringe called. They are not happy with you using their alternate reality plotlines. :p

You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that?

I just found myself visiting forums for games I'm not even excited about. Had a reflective WTH moment. And thought, hey where's the game I can be excited about?

Maybe I'll start following New Vegas as a compromise.

Yeah, I can be excited about those, but there's nothing to discuss. It's all "is there new news?" "What's the news?" "Oh, that's the news."

RPGs, class based ones anyway, open up discussion on class selection, group composition, and tactics. Locations. What kind of choices you hope to have.

I mean, I love Portal to death, but what is there to actually discuss?

I like to play it by the ear, planning everything out like that kind of spoils the game for me.

We don't have to discuss upcoming games, we could also have more general discussions on gaming as a whole. Maybe even get an intelligent discussion going...

What kind of intelligent discussion would you suggest that doesn't revolve around world events, since that would devolve into political dogma, the antithesis of intelligence?

Fringe/indie games that no one has heard of.

Deathwatch. *shakes fist*

Everyone in my group is going Space Wolves, I'm going to be the DA Apothecary, so should be interesting :p

Ah ok, yeah thought you meant the TT game. Actually, I should try to find some DW minis, might be fun to have in our sessions (whenever that starts).

I love Force Unleashed, heck, I bought it twice. But I don't know about the PC version.

I will say that even the target consoles have bad problems. Loading screens just to bring up the menu, GACK. Clunky combat.

Stay the hell away from the PC port, it's night unplayable with keyboard and mouse and has performance issues to boot.

Plus it kind of sucks on its own as well from what I've heard.
