Morgoth Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Click Well, not much info yet, but it's going to be a full price title. Either way, I'm so getting this. Rain makes everything better.
Guest Slinky Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I wonder will it be released at the same time as EP3?
mr insomniac Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 It's hard to overstate my satisfaction. I took this job because I thought you were just a legend. Just a story. A story to scare little kids. But you're the real deal. The demon who dares to challenge God. So what the hell do you want? Don't seem to me like you're out to make this stinkin' world a better place. Why you gotta kill all my men? Why you gotta kill me? Nothing personal. It's just revenge.
Morgoth Posted March 5, 2010 Author Posted March 5, 2010 I wonder will it be released at the same time as EP3? Well I think we should find out more next week at GDC. Portal 2 will be a standalone full-price game with new mechanics and it's own story. Not sure when Ep3 will come out. Rain makes everything better.
I want teh kotor 3 Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 This. Hopefully it'll be playable at PAX East, but I highly doubt it. In 7th grade, I teach the students how Chuck Norris took down the Roman Empire, so it is good that you are starting early on this curriculum. R.I.P. KOTOR 2003-2008 KILLED BY THOSE GREEDY MONEY-HOARDING ************* AND THEIR *****-*** MMOS
Enoch Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Portal made be want to puke. I still loved it. Looking forward to the sequel.
Purkake Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Portal made be want to puke. I still loved it. Looking forward to the sequel. My hat off to you, good sir.
Kaftan Barlast Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 It was kind of fun. Not even close to the hype, but it was playable and had tons of charm. entrerix Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 THIS IS GOOD! the only better news out of the valve camp would be an announcement of ep 3 coming in july, with the full length half life 3 to be released in november... surprise! instead we get this, then in 3 years we get ep 3, then in 2020 we get half life 3 Killing is kind of like playin' a basketball game. I am there. and the other player is there. and it's just the two of us. and I put the other player's body in my van. and I am the winner. - Nice Pete.
Humodour Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Two points of interest) a) It is due out THIS YEAR 2) It takes place in (some) natural environments
GreasyDogMeat Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I think Portal is an example of how important a good ending is. For me, it was an enjoyable game, but the ending ranks up among one of the best I've seen in a game. The final battle, the humor, the ending song just left me very satisfied. When I actually think about it though, most of the game up to that point had just been... ok. Not great or anything, enjoyable but not amazing.
kirottu Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I never dance. You have never drank enough. n00b. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
Humodour Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I never dance. You have never drank enough. n00b. Or perhaps I drank so much I couldn't remember?
Purkake Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I really liked Portal because it was unique and quirky, had great humor and was very consistent all the way though. I hate it when games just fall apart halfway through or near the end.
kirottu Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I never dance. You have never drank enough. n00b. Or perhaps I drank so much I couldn't remember? Not remembering is failure in itself. Drinking is serious business. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
WILL THE ALMIGHTY Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 I dunno, I liked the first one and this is good news, but not very surprising. "Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"
Deadly_Nightshade Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Portal 2... Humm... It might end up being good but I doubt it will be as good as Portal. "Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum." -Hurlshot
Niten_Ryu Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Portal was one of those near perfect games. Hopefully sequel will be just as good. Let's play Alpha Protocol My misadventures on youtube.
Humodour Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 I was just playing Portal again and in the starting level when you get the Portal gun I decided to make a portal on the ground next to the portal on the wall and jump through it. Normally when I do this, I get flung about in a portal loop a few times and then hit the edge of a portal and don't fall in. This time, that didn't happen. This time I warped through it about 10 times and then died. LOL!
Purkake Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 You can make an endless portal tunnel and fall forever. There's even an achievement for it.
Humodour Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Then how did I die? There's no falling damage is there? I did fall on a camera I ripped off the wall and threw in the portal tunnel first. Maybe hitting that killed me?
Purkake Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 No idea, but this is what it looks like. It was pretty much the first thing I did when I got the ability to shoot two portals.
