Hurlshort Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 BWAHAHAHAHA http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/9/index/181432 thats a new one on me: "i'm a dude and i dont like boobs and i have a girlfriend, please help me bioware" That's pretty funny. I've been playing the game in our office, and my mother-in-law is often around when I'm doing so. I've had a few uncomfortable glances over my shoulder when the porn demon shows up. But really, it's pretty clear she's a demon and all that, it's not really porn. On the other hand, I yelled to my wife to come check out the knockers the first time I ran into the demon, so maybe he needs to get a better GF.
Monte Carlo Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Is it me, or does the b00b demon have cellulite issues?
Monte Carlo Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 And I never knew who 30 Seconds To Mars were before the video for This is War. Which I'll now be picking up.
Maria Caliban Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Is it me, or does the b00b demon have cellulite issues? Your graphics card needs some major tweeking. "When is this out. I can't wait to play it so I can talk at length about how bad it is." - Gorgon.
alanschu Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 And I never knew who 30 Seconds To Mars were before the video for This is War. Which I'll now be picking up. Neat! I was curious how effective that type of product placement would be.
TheHarlequin Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Unlike what certain fan boy here say, the party AI needs some serious polish. Sorry to hear of your ills. I'd rather if you didn't associate my complaint with your unending crusade, actually. IMO the AI is quite good, though it could do some things better. That fight is also a special encounter. What happens when you lose it? Let me know if the problem persists a reload. A normal death, actually, though I'm in the habit of quickloading before the death message comes up, so maybe not. I'm about to go back and try reloading, and also clearing out all the mods, etc. Bioforums suggests that it's usually a toolset / mod related issue. A. No idea who you are or even why you think I am reffering to you. B. It's not all about you. C. My only 'crusade' is I want some decent party AI that I don't have to baby sit (which apparently baby sitting your party is now called a 'tactical game' is seems). I don't think thats asking a lot. World of Darkness News http://www.wodnews.net --- "I cannot profess to be a theologian; but it seems to me that Christians who believe in a super human Satan have got themselves into a logical impasse with regard to their own religion. For either God can not prevent the mischief of Satan, in which case he is not omnipotent; or else He could do so if he wished, but will not, in which case He is not benevolent. Fortunately, being a pagan witch, I am not called upon to solve this problem." - Doreen Valiente
Gromnir Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 old tegrin gets around. have seen the dwarf merchant at least ten times. am thinking that Gromnir's game is bugged. anybody else got this problem? if we could kill him and his ox we would... 'least that ways we wouldn't have to see him outside of redcliff and frostback mountains and... wherever. HA! Good Fun! alanschu Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 How far into the game are you? I believe if you have done all the "random encounters" when the game flags one, it'll default to the dwarf merchant.
Tigranes Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I've seen him 4-5 times, I think he just triggers. Anyway, the AI's cleared up after I got rid of them mods, we'll see how that goes. Just killed the big bad dragon near Haven with a level 17/18 party on Hard, Cone of Cold gets him every time so it was just a matter of balancing out the healing and whacking till he went down. Maybe I should have got him earlier, the loot's not that great, but maybe that dragon scale armour will turn out good. Nearly done with the side-quests and about to go ahead with that showdown. I believe if you have done all the "random encounters" when the game flags one, it'll default to the dwarf merchant. pretty far, but we didn't get the meteor encounter some folks mentioned. am guessing that means that we simply won't get it this time 'round? alanschu Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I'm not sure of the conditions for it. I got it while traveling to Honnleath in the one and only rare time I did some DLC confirmations. It's possible it might only be triggered while heading there, or in that part of the map.
Maria Caliban Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I believe that random encounter is Warden's Keep only. And dragons are female. Drakes are male. "When is this out. I can't wait to play it so I can talk at length about how bad it is." - Gorgon.
Rosbjerg Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 maybe that dragon scale armour will turn out good. Nope.. although in combination with another body armor the leg and hand peices can be quite good - it's the one I've posted pictures of in another thread. It's called "Evon the Great's Mail, I got it as a drop somewhere, but also saw it for sale for something like 70 gold.. it's give a load of bonuses and the with the medium dragon armor pieces it gives a set bonus that reduced fatigue - mine was at ~5 and still I had 38 armor Fortune favors the bald.
alanschu Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I was a bit underwhelmed with the Dragon armor too. Though the process of getting it was very entertaining

It might be an encounter that occurs going to DLC of some sort. I'll ask around because I was under the impression we wanted to keep DLC self-contained.
Tigranes Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I don't have any DLC enabled because Stone Prisoner still doesn't work, and I still get the dwarf. Also, dragon armor was rubbish, what a disappointment. In fact what's with Dragons only giving out 240xp and a bunch of crap loot? Learn from BG2.. ~Di Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Well, I'm playing a human rogue. Yes, she is gimped, but I'm still having fun with her. She's a backstabber, not a bow gal, so I want the Assassin specialization... but when I finally am "old" enough to choose a specialization, I find they are all locked. I know that Zevran will teach it too me, AFTER I find him and AFTER I spend about 20 hours warming him up... ... But is there any other way for me to unlock the Assassination specialization? I'm currently wandering the Fade, and when I finally get out I'd really like those Assassin bonuses.

Oner Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I was a bit underwhelmed with the Dragon armor too. Though the process of getting it was very entertaining I'm "in the process" and it'd be fun if my inv wouldn't be full again (can I leave the place to unload, or would that cause problems?). The room with the 3 bastard dragons is kinda hard. :/ Giveaway list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DgyQFpOJvyNASt8A12ipyV_iwpLXg_yltGG5mffvSwo/edit?usp=sharing What is glass but tortured sand?Never forget! alanschu Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Where are you? Most place you can come back to. Or you can dump off junk that you won't need that isn't worth very much to sell.
