...it be time Obsidz bought the rights an' put out a 10 year anniversary remake (change nothing!)... :o

...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...

A long, long time ago, but I can still remember,
How the Trolling used to make me smile.
And I knew if I had my chance, I could egg on a few Trolls to "dance",
And maybe we'd be happy for a while.
But then Krackhead left and so did Klown;
Volo and Turnip were banned, Mystake got run out o' town.
Bad news on the Front Page,
BIOweenia said goodbye in a heated rage.
I can't remember if I cried
When I heard that TORN was recently fried,
But sadness touched me deep inside,
The day...Black Isle died.

I'm planning to replay Torment after finishing MotB. I read somewhere a while ago about a higher resolution mod; anyone know where to find it?

edit: Google gave me this and this. Which is preferable?

The Ministry of Mortal Affairs approves. Unfortunately, the demonic Wizards of the Coast who hold the artifact known as "The License" likely will not. We must engage in an unholy crusade to wrestle the artifact from their grubby chaotic claws and take it to the Obsidian Temple of the Planes.

Or something like that, anyway. I would easily spend $100 for a modern update of the game (change nothing). I would spend twice that if cut quests were put back and endgame areas (Ravel's Maze, Curst, Outlands, Baator, Carceri/Curst Gone, Fortress of Regrets) were redone with the same level of detail as Sigil.

And this is one game where even the ruleset could remain as is - I don't need feats and prestige classes to enjoy Torment.

There are no doors in Jefferson that are "special game locked" doors. There are no characters in that game that you can kill that will result in the game ending prematurely.

You want a remake.. but you don't want them to change anything.. uh.. Right.

Hey Sargallath, I have this brand new REMAKE of Planescape: Torment lying around here somewhere. It might look old and stuff, but I promise you, it's a brand new REMAKE, they just changed nothing. Just as you requested! Same old VGA graphics, same old crappy combat, same old non-existent difficulty, same old emo story you've already played a hundred times like an autistic! Back to the nineties you go! You can have it for a measly $100!

Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!

Personally, I'd really like to be able to play this game without having to pirate it or pay out a price somewhere in between Ammon Jerro's soul and the sins of the world, approximately

I have a pristine copy, in 1990's shoe-box size packaging, only played once. Any offers?

My astigmatism is worse now than it was in 1999, in no small part down to having to read all that tiny text.

See http://rpgcodex.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=26591 for best Torment UI mod so far. Looking forward to playing PST on full screen again when I do a replay next.

No support for 1600x900 or 1920x1080?

You know, I think Cube D Cube and MC Comb recently contributed to a new Torment fan patch (really).

Wow, I just read the readme files for those patches, and they are great! I'll have to reinstall Torment now and try to get them all to work together with the high-resolution fix - the last time I tried something like that, the game wouldn't start...

I think you can get it on Gametap, for what that's worth.

Hadn't noticed that, although I'm not that keen on GT, myself. Might make an exception for this, though. :p
