Morgoth Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 How is DoW: Soulstorm singleplayer? I'm itchy on clicking on that buy botton. Rain makes everything better.
Morgoth Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Ah, I forgot I haven't even played Dark Crusade yet. 4,99 Rain makes everything better.
Purkake Posted December 26, 2008 Author Posted December 26, 2008 To be honest, I haven't played the DoW series, I prefer Company of Heroes. This is a good time to try everything that you have always wanted. Those packs look so big and juicy...
Morgoth Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Company of Heroes was good indeed, but I never managed to finish it for some reason. Played DoW and Winter Assault and loved it. Now is the time to finally get Dark Crusade. Rain makes everything better.
Gorgon Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 How is DoW: Soulstorm singleplayer? I'm itchy on clicking on that buy botton. Personally I expected more from the tactical map, it gets pretty repetitive very fast. Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all.
Leferd Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I may just have to pick up the X-Com games. "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle
Deadly_Nightshade Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I'm buying way too much - oh well, it's for a good cause (id est, my entertainment). "Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum." -Hurlshot
Tigranes Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I'd have plopped down for Imperium Romanum if it weren't for the fact that I have no credit card, and I haven't read up about the game yet. Mass Effect is also tempting me, but, well, I probably will regret the $. Let's Play: Icewind Dale Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Icewind Dale II Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Divinity II (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG1 (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG2 (In Progress)
Deadly_Nightshade Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I'm already regretting buying Doom and Doom 2 - although they were only $0.99 each and thus not too much of a regret. Luckly I've only gone about $10 into the hole so far, maybe I'll spend more later but for now I think I'll stick with what I've got. "Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum." -Hurlshot
Deraldin Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I'm tempted to pick up the Introversion games, but if I buy them from Introversion directly I can get them in a box. It'll be $20-30 more, but still, I get the boxes...
Theseus Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I picked up STALKER Clear Skies assassins Creed and the Unreal Deal Pack woot woot!
Bokishi Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I was fine earlier, but now I get errors in the checkout part, I think their servers are taking a pounding Current 3DMark
Kaftan Barlast Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 Im still pissed at myself for buying X3TC so Im not buying darn thing... although i am tempted by some of the turnbased titles DISCLAIMER: Do not take what I write seriously unless it is clearly and in no uncertain terms, declared by me to be meant in a serious and non-humoristic manner. Deadly_Nightshade Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 (edited) I picked up STALKER Clear Skies... ****, you're in for a "good time" with that one - the Steam version has more DRM (id est installation limits) than the boxed DVD. Pidesco Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 The last proper Rainbow Six game is available for less than 4 "My hovercraft is full of eels!" - Hungarian touristI am Dan Quayle of the Romans.I want to tattoo a map of the Netherlands on my nether lands.Heja Sverige!!Everyone should cuffawkle more. The wrench is your friend.
Theseus Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I picked up STALKER Clear Skies... ****, you're in for a "good time" with that one - the Steam version has more DRM (id est installation limits) than the boxed DVD. How is that possible? How will it effect my game, will i be able to add mods to it, like to carry more weight? Have you seen the Russian movie STALKER? Ehh it was horribly boring.
Deadly_Nightshade Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 How is that possible? Never underestimate the stupidity of some publishers - they added more DRM to the Steam game than the normal one, crazy isn't it? How will it effect my game, will i be able to add mods to it, like to carry more weight? Well, it will act like a normal version of Clear Sky until you install it five times and then, bam, you've got an error saying you have run out of activations. You can contact TAGES and request more, the information on how to do this is on the Steam forums, and they'll generally give those out - but still, I would have not recommended that version of the game (the boxed version, the one I have, has TAGES but it is only a DVD-check and not the limited installations/activations). Theseus Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 Well i usually only play my games once and toss them, but i do yearn for the gold old NES days of just popping a cartridge in and pressing power. I could put that cartridge in as many times i wanted! Sure Id have to blow in it and shakei it but that was part of the fun of the NES, getting it to work! lol Thats ok, i like Steam enough to call if i have to. Microsoft does that same thing with Windows. There calls are always easy too. Now mass effect.... oh boy. I lost my Activation slip. It was on a seperate peice of paper. I've been in cahoots with them for awhile trying to get another activation key, they are hesitant, they are treating me like a pirate. Thats one of the reasons i like Steam.
Walsingham Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I was on the point of ordering Red Alert 3, until I remembered the DRM thing. Wankers. "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp.
Aram Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I know a guy who downloaded Red Alert 3 and got a letter from his service provider warning him not to do it again.
Theseus Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I Paid 10 bucks for GUN, it blows. Id rather play Oregon trail.
Deadly_Nightshade Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I Paid 10 bucks for GUN, it blows. Id rather play Oregon trail. Not that Oregon Trail was a bad game... "Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum." -Hurlshot
