wesley2 Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Did any of you guys pick this one up? I've been having a ton of fun with it. The gameplay is really deep and incredibly realistic this year, so it's going to take me some time to really get a handle on the new shot stick and perfect my release. It's like last year's incarnation of it, but I like the depth and the ability to change my release point when I'm in the air. I'm going to have to get my skills perfected a little bit before I take my game online because I don't want to get embarrassed...

I have been thinking of getting the PC game, but am waiting for more feedback. Good luck getting any here..... J1 Visa Southern California Cleaning

Kelverin Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 You can order here for the PC $20.00 http://take2store.stores.yahoo.net/nba2k9pcp.html J1 Visa Southern California Cleaning
jaguars4ever Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Yeah, but I'm pretty sure Bok has it for the Sex Box.
Kelverin Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 (edited) Understood, but why? With the low price, ability to mod the hell out of it and online play as well. There is no reason to get the other version. But then again I am a PC guy so my judgment is skewed and my opinion should be ignored Edited October 21, 2008 by Kelverin J1 Visa Southern California Cleaning
Bokishi Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 You can't play online in the PC one, that's why it's cheaper lol Current 3DMark
Kelverin Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Possibly. Although this is their first game on the PC and they might be trying to jump start the franchise. Looks like they already screwed up. "NBA 2K9 PC Ships to Stores Without CD Keys; Update: Fix Through Steam" http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/55472 J1 Visa Southern California Cleaning

"NBA 2K9 PC Ships to Stores Without CD Keys; Update: Fix Through Steam" http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/55472 Yeah, well EA took their game off the PC if I'm not mistaken, so they're dfeinitely going after those BBall fans. They should have been 2k fans anyway because it's a far superior game. There's an easy fix for that activation key error anyway. Check out the official 2k Sports forums if you have questions, it's the best place to go for information. http://2ksports.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=138
Kelverin Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Yeah, well EA took their game off the PC if I'm not mistaken, so they're dfeinitely going after those BBall fans. Yes they did. They also pulled Madden from the PC, but decided to bring it back again next year. They might have the same plans for NBA live, which agreed is a inferior product. But soon someone will buy up the NBA license and end this silly concept of competition. Like football, baseball, golf, Nascar...... J1 Visa Southern California Cleaning
Volourn Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Bought this game. It's the only sports series that 2K ssems to be better than EA at. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
wesley2 Posted November 3, 2008 Author Posted November 3, 2008 It's awesome isn't it? Have any of you guys registered for The Other Season? I could spend hours online playing 5 on 5 games man, that's a the biggest draw for me.
Volourn Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Awesome except for the fact the computer hits nearly everything. Hard to get pumped when they computer hits 70% of shots when youa r ein their face. And, your teammates satnd around like statues when it comes to rebounding. L0L Otherwise, an okay game. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
alanschu Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 I always hate how teammate AI is retarded in sports games. The 2k9 series typically allows for slider adjustments to tweak shooting percentages. This one might still have it.
Volourn Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 It does. I've been twinking it to no success yet. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
alanschu Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 When in doubt put them all the way down haha.
wesley2 Posted November 7, 2008 Author Posted November 7, 2008 Yeah, it takes a few games to adjust the sliders until you're getting a game that you're going to be comfortable with. By the way, you guys gotta get online and get the new roster updates. Oden's injured and Iverson's traded, it's time to update and get the new rosters.
Kelverin Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 You might be able to find good sliders here: http://www.operationsports.com/forums/nba-2k-sliders/ These guys usually do a good job with them and there are a lot of different kinds to choose from. J1 Visa Southern California Cleaning
Gfted1 Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 So the game uses real world players but not the real world statistics from those players? "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
