I know Irrational Games actually had a SWAT advisor for SWAT4 that told them how SWAT police works, and what tools they are using etc. As Aram mentioned, "typical CIA repertoire" is nothing more deadly than rubber bands and paper clips-- the vast, vast majority of CIA employees work behind a desk. Even in the Clandestine Service, the number people who actually possess a CIA-issued weapon is probably miniscule. And the people who are issued weapons ain't talking to no game developers.
March 17, 200817 yr Author I recall some pictures somewhere of "CIA operatives" in the middle east with their faces blurred out, involved in calling down air strikes or somesuch. One had a plain issue Beretta M9 and the other had an old M1911A1. They probably just got them from the nearest military armory and returned them after they were done.
