Aristes
The Whitmore twist was fantastic! I didn't see that coming at all. Also, no need for the spoiler brackets. Nobody should read this thread unless they are caught up on the latest episode. I purposefully avoid it until I watch it, even though I usually do so a few days late. Yeah, this is what I do. I never watch any tv shows when they air, so I just avoid reading this thread until I've seen the latest episode.
Gorgon
I generally hate having to watch 30-45 minute shows where you know if anything interesting is going to happen it's going to be a cliffhanger at the end. Give me an English detective series instead, one where the actors have time to breathe and the plot time to build. Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all. Pope
I must admit I started out sceptical towards the whole time travel ordeal, but it's being handled awesomely. My only gripe is, the writers claim they are presenting their time travel in a non-paradoxal way, but there still seems to be a Terminator-like paradox in there somewhere to me. The Others' interest in Locke as their future leader seems to be a direct result of his conversation with Richard in the past. But he already needed that interest in order to have that conversation. In the end, I think Locke is never meant to truly be their leader (hence Richard's disappointment with young Locke last season), but a sacrifice the Island demands (he needs to die in order to get the O6 to return). I am also guessing that Ellie is the old white haired lady, and Faraday's mother. Daniel will probably be the reason why she leaves the island (much like Sun did). PS Desmond with cap and shades was hilarious.
Pope
I've read this awesome theory the other day. Remember the scene where Sawyer stepped into something in the jungle? Seemed like a pretty inisignificant scene. Unless... his toe gets infected and needs to be amputed, leaving him with only 4 toes. Then he does something heroic way back in the past, causing the natives to erect a statue in his honor. Add to this that James is the English version of the Latin name Jacobus, and Sawyer might just be our Man Behind the Curtain. It would be one of Lost's most awesome twists ever! Gfted1
Nah, the statue's four toes were natural. Meaning, there wasnt left over foot where a toe should be. "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
theslug
I think the foot thing is actually from the future. Scientists believe we will lose our pinky toes in a few thousands years or something becuase they no longer serve any purpose since people don't climb trees anymore. Edited February 2, 2009 by theslug There was a time when I questioned the ability for the schizoid to ever experience genuine happiness, at the very least for a prolonged segment of time. I am no closer to finding the answer, however, it has become apparent that contentment is certainly a realizable goal. I find these results to be adequate, if not pleasing. Unfortunately, connection is another subject entirely. When one has sufficiently examined the mind and their emotional constructs, connection can be easily imitated. More data must be gleaned and further collated before a sufficient judgment can be reached.
Rosbjerg
It looks pretty natural. The sandal looks like a Roman/Greek design. Fortune favors the bald.
Pope
Natural or not aside, it would still be an awesome twist. The writers have also said it was always the intention of having the Others' leader under the Losties' noses without them realizing it, and they can't mean Ben by that since Henry Gale was originally meant to only last about 3 episodes. Kor Qel Droma
I don't think the leader of the Others is Locke. I'm betting it turns out to be Jack. Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.

Hiro Protagonist
Awesome episode last night. Im guessing Faraday tried to send the catatonic womans brain through time (like he did with the rats) and her current state is the result. Also, the redhead is probably displaying symptoms of impending coma due to the time shifts? If so, why only her? I liked seeing some of the backstory of Whitmore too. I am also guessing that Ellie is the old white haired lady, and Faraday's mother. Daniel will probably be the reason why she leaves the island (much like Sun did). I thought the same as well on both accounts. And speaking of Faraday, who is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters, from what I've been reading today the white haired Dharma chick is named Eloise Hawking. Didn't young Widmore ( which is a whole other topic, methinks) call her Ellie? The girl who escorted Dan to the h-bomb? Maybe she 'looked familiar' to him because she's his mother, which is a theory I'm going to support. I thought that was obvious. And it's probably why Faraday asks Desmond to find her mother because he knows she used to be on the island and would know what to do. Also, I think Faraday's mother had a guiding hand in putting Faraday into his research knowing someday she will meet her son on the island so many years ago - and has to make sure she sends him back without his knowledge. Rosbjerg
Jins's alive - well, we knew he would .. and Rousso is a a foxy 20 something year old.. that means they are 18-19 years back in time.. interesting Is it me or are these episodes not really going anywhere? - it feels like they are over moments after they begin. Sure we get the occasional plot twist, but the tempo is way slow. Fortune favors the bald.
Gfted1
I dunno, it feels like its moving forward to me. They got the O6 to the pier and the remaining Islanders are showing accelerating signs of time jumping illness so I figure this arc will wrap up in one or two more episodes. qt3.14159
I think I know what you mean, Rosbjerg. We're definitely moving forward, but very little is really happening on the show. A lot of that is because we're dealing with so many different story lines. After last night's confirmation of Miles history with the island (likely Pierre Chang's baby shown at the beginning of the first episode of the season), I think my main question is who are Charlotte's parents? According to Ben, they're not anyone we know, but we've pretty much been told she was born on the island. Probably during the Dharma occupation. So my question is, is she Ben's? Ben's little friend Annie from his childhood is supposed to return to the story somehow and be a very big part of it... at least according to lostpedia... Anywho, I'm definitely enjoying the season so far... though I hate waiting a week between episodes. Having watched the first four seasons back to back makes turning the tv off after one episode nerve wracking. Edited February 5, 2009 by qt3.14159 Anybody here catch that? All I understood was 'very'.
Rosbjerg
Yeah, sorry should've been more clear. I think you are right, after going over it again, that the reason it feels like nothing is really happening (to the overall story arc) is because the multitude of small stories that each get 5 minutes attention. Fortune favors the bald.
Pidesco
So, it seems like Ben is the one sending the agents to kidnap the Oceanic 6, in case they don't want to go back to the island of their own free will. And the custody for Aaron is a similar deal. I really didn't expect Charlotte to get back up again. Yeah, as soon as Kate started running, I realized that it had to have been Ben who sent the lawyers. He is, as always, doing what he does best, manipulating everyone into a situation that will be best for him. Charlotte should have a few more jumps left, before she slips into that coma... at the very least we need to get more of her story before she blips out on us! Anybody here catch that?
